I left the rating at Average. The actual rating should be somewhere between average and Very good.
Nice Atmosphere, no view though even though the front is a big window
Ingredients are fresh, cook timing is good, no overcook, dishes lean towards heavy flavor, the chef did not handle my order well in the flavor management, he may be fine with the tasting menu. As my wife did not want to do the tasting menu and they only do tasting for the whole table, I could not try the tasting menu.
They mentioned that many of the entries in the tasting menu actually are listed in the appetizer section. Because I wanted to try different dishes, we ordered 6 appetizers. Each dish was done reasonably well, however, as the flavor was more in the heavy side. I only had white wine to clear my palate between dishes. It didn't quite work after 3 dishes. I could not enjoy the flavor of the rest of the dishes.
So, I would imagine the chef should have warned us after we put in the order or adjust/order the dishes such that we could enjoy. By the way, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th appetizers came all at once. I certainly didn't appreciate that.
Overall, the food was ok, however, the use of flavor has room for improvement.
Also, beware of the 5% mandate charge by the restaurant in the bill before your tips.
