Came on a Friday with reservation.
Place was cozy and the decor was beautiful! We got the scallops, steak, beet salad, perilla pasta and tuna tartare. We were so full at the end probably didn't need all 5 dishes. This is tapas style but portion size for the large dishes are big. They would walk thru the ingredients in dishes. Service was great too. Id say personal fave was scallops and salad!
Be the first to ReplyI DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THESE DISHES TASTED SO AMAZING.
I swear this is by far the best place for Korean pork or steak. Unreal. Everything had amazing flavor and melted in our mouths. Then we had the only dessert on the menu-vanilla ice cream, honey and Parmesan cheese. It had a 4th ingredient I can't remember, but the bowl was CLEAN by the time we were done. Do yourself a favor and try this spot. Incredible.

Incredible service: they treat you like you're the only guests there. Incredible food: the hanger steak and the beet&kimchi salad are pure delicacies. Really appreciate the innovative elements and thought that goes into each dish. Definitely want to come back and try the chicken dishes next time. Great vibes and ambiance also.

Mediocre food that didn't leave my friend and I remember much of the flavor. Many of the food items tasted way too sweet for me like the duck breast and bulgogi. The beet salad was nice. Scallops were second favorite. They can definitely add more veggies options. The clam was quite rubbery texture wise. I'm glad I checked this place off as want to go but likely will not return nor recommend.

AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD! Delicious Korean pork belly, clams, tuna tartare, chicken and cheese, and endives. Kat was probably the most attentive server I've ever had. When she noticed that one of our friends didn't prefer the seafood dishes we had ordered, she was quick to accommodate and provided a non-seafood option (small rice cake) dish on the side for her to ensure she has a great experience and was full. We also were celebrating a going away dinner and Kat matched our celebratory level with great drink recommendations (carafe vs single drinks) and complimentary mini shots. Will come back again!

Be the first to ReplyFood: 8/10Service: 8/10My friend and I visited 8282 a few
Food: 8/10Service: 8/10My friend and I visited 8282 a few months ago. It's a nice place for a casual catchup. Food is pricey for the small portions. There is definitely room for improvement. I forgot to take a picture for the other main we got but it was unmemorable. We ordered the boneless fried chicken because we were still hungry at the end of our meal. We also saw all the other tables with fried chicken but it was sadly the most disappointing dish. I would recommend 8282 if you're in the LES area but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. Some of the dishes we got: JJAJANG BORI-BAP (scallops w/ truffle): 7/10 - this was pretty average but portion was tiny TUNA TARTARE + KIM BUKAK: 8.5/10 - we loved the crispy seaweed! Very tasty and recommend! GRILLED OCTOPUS: 9.5/10 - this was our favorite and one of the best octopus I've had in nyc so far! Definitely recommend! BONELESS K.F.C.: 6/10 - this was slightly below average. It was very bland and forgettable. I would skip, unless you're trying to fill up (like us) because the other food was not enough.
Be the first to ReplyMy experience at 8282 perfectly represents what I love
My experience at 8282 perfectly represents what I love about the NYC food scene. A friend of mine was having a party on the Lower East Side and I wanted to find a restaurant where we could get a great but not too upscale dinner nearby. I checked all of my saved businesses on Google maps and 8282 popped up. I had no memory of saving this spot, but I guess I just blindly clicked that little green flag one day and hoped it would benefit me in the future. Well, future me is proud of past me, because 8282 was exactly what I had hoped for, and then some. Creative, excellent food, an equally impressive cocktail menu, wildly fast service and the bill won't hurt your wallet too much. We got to the friend's party exactly when we wanted to, and I got to rave to all who would listen about the amazing meal we'd just had.Made a reservation here at 7:30 on a Saturday night. The space itself fairly small, with probably no more than 10-12 small tables in there plus bar seating, It's very loud and chaotic, but not in a distracting or uncomfortable way. It's more like, this is the vibe, you get what you come for, sorry if you didn't do your research. Like I said, fun New York experience. We've been to a solid number of Korean fine dining spots (Atomix, Jua, Oiji Mi, etc.) so it was nice to get a relatively more casual experience. The first drink I ordered (conveniently the only drink we tried not on the online menu was a gin-based drink with aloe and tea syrup. I asked our server to explain it to me and she said it was like a martini, so I gave it a try. It ended up being more like a gimlet-style drink but not a very good one (I found it kind of watered down and flat), so I sheepishly sent it back. I virtually never do this because it makes me feel like a very bad person, but they were nice about it. My husband, on the other hand, started with the Yuja Pear Tequila Perilla (Citrus splash of yuja & pear, tequila, lime, topped with perilla & perilla oil), which I did not try but he said it was one of the best drinks he ever had. I swapped my first drink for the Oiji Dirty (Korean pickled cucumber (oiji) brine, Rockey's botanical liqueur, dry vermouth, and Gray Whale gin), which was superb and a unique spin on your typical dirty martini. For our second round, my husband got the Secret Forest (Tanqueray dry gin, Rockey's botanical liqueur, vermouth, snap pea & green chartreuse syrup, lemon, thyme) which was absolutely fabulous. I got the Miss Persimmon (Persimmon, chai tea syrup, rye whiskey, bitters), which I thought was going to be like a Manhattan but was actually shake and served up (I had weird luck with drinks). That said, it was still super tasty.Food-wise, you gotta share here. They recommend 4-5 dishes per two people, but I think that suggestion takes entree-sized dishes into consideration, because we only ordered small plates and we probably could've had one more after six. The food is creative, inspired, seasonal and fresh. Lots of bold flavors but overall, still a relatively healthy meal (obviously it depends on what you order). Eats, below:Endive Salad (Organic Belgium endive, Asian pear, yogurt, walnut, parsnip): ASuper fresh, earthy, light and sweet, love the combo of the pear/yogurt/walnut which has been done many times but in this case it was executed perfectly Tuna Tartare + Kim Bukak (4 pcs of bluefin tuna, sesame oil aioli, served on fried seaweed chips topped with uni, capers, and egg custard): A+These were total flavor bombs and one of the stunners of the night. The seaweed chips were perfect crispy/salty vessels for the incredibly delicious tunaGolden Beet & Kimchi Salad (Golden beets over gold and red beet puree, tomato kimchi, house-made burrata, pistachio, yuzu kosho vinaigrette, beet chips with green tea powder): ASimilar to my feelings about the endive salad, I think this was an elevated, super creative version of a class beet-cheese salad. The kimchi was a delightful touch and the yuzu kosho vinaigrette was light, citrusy and subtly sweet. Beet puree and beet chips made this beets three ways, yet it was not at all overkill. Mushroom Party (Grilled king mushroom, grilled maitake mushroom, rosemary panko, cashew, yogurt, mushroom puree): A+This was my other favorite dish of the night. Super flavorful, earthy, and inhale-able. Seriously, I found myself wishing we had gotten two orders of this. Littleneck Soojebi (Potato soojebi with littleneck clams, black pepper soy sauce, butter scallion, ginger, garlic): ADespite feeling wary about ordering the clams given that I don't always like them (my husband feels similarly), we really enjoyed this dish. Fresh/light but still with ample flavor/umami, and that broth was just divine. Sole: AFor whatever reason, the sole is both the only dish we got not on the online menu, and the only dish I didn't photograph. But I promise it was very good! Light with delicate flavors, it balanced out the rest of our order nicely.

Had an amazing date night at 8282 in the LES a few weeks ago! They have a small menu, so not a ton of veggie options, but enough to leave with a full and happy stomach.Golden Beets and Kimchi Salad - This was a unique fusion dish that I really enjoyed. I usually love burrata and beets anyway, but the combination of unexpected flavors was really nice. Eggplant Bulgogi Japchae - This was a new (possibly experimental?) dish and I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but I LOVED the Japchae noodles. They were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice. My meat loving husband loved the noodles so much, he asked for a side of the noodles to go with his pork, and they very kindly obliged us (on the house!). The eggplant is intended to be a little chewy, but you can ask them to cook it more if you prefer. Also, I love that this comes with impossible meat, but I would personally prefer tofu. The staff is amazing and they all seemed to genuinely enjoy working together, which made the experience that much better. Truly one of our best nights out in a long time!
Be the first to ReplyUnique restaurant w modernized twist on Korean food.
Ingredients are mostly deconstructed with a flair of seafood. Given I had a shellfish allergy, staff were very accommodating. The salad (7.5/10) was fresh, a medley of vegetables. Overall fresh and nice way to start you palette, nothing ordinary though. The scallops and black bean (9/10) was a modern twist to the korean black bean noodles you would typically get. Delicious with a strong flavor profile and nice balance of saltiness. Pork Galbi (7/10) was alright. I expected more of a korena flavored marinade but was let down on how he sauce was basically gochuchang. The meat was well cooked though. The KFC chicken (8.5/10) was standard for fried chicken, nothing particular unique with the seasoning, cooked well. The real star was the pickled noodles that it came with! Light, refreshing - wish it came with more! I had the plum vinegar drink (10/10) which was refreshing and paired well with the tapas. Flavors were sweet, sour, and spicy. I don't think they do spicy as well as the other two. Overall great balance of flavors, nice presentation, and fantastic service. They offered the bday girl free ice cream, so nice touch! On the pricier side of Korean food for the amount you get! Approx $200 for 3 people including tip.
Be the first to ReplyOh my God.
The KFC chicken was easily the best chicken I've ever had in my life. The clams were delightful. The snow crab bowl was spicy and delicious. My cocktail was the blackberry hongcho kiss and it was summery and bright with a light sour twist of vinegar. This place rules, staff was wonderful. Can't wait to come back and bring friends!
Be the first to ReplyHad a reservation for a party of 2 here for 5:30.
Staff is really attentive and engaging here. The service is especially great! :) My friend asked for recommendation on the drink menu and she really enjoyed her drink (Yuzu Matcha Magic). I ordered the K-Melon Martini and I really liked it as well. The menu is pretty small here and everything is meant to be shared, family-style. Littleneck Soojebi - This is probably my favorite menu item that we had ordered. The broth is really hearty when you pair it up with the air conditioning inside. Perfect if you ask me because I was a bit cold once I sat inside with the ac. Really warmed me up! The potato soojebi was nice and flavorful from the broth and the clams were nice, plump and juicy. Perilla Oil Pasta with Uni - Really enjoyed it. It's aesthetically pleasing with the uni if you want that picture. You could totally go without the uni and still enjoy the pasta. I'm sure of it!Snowcrab Bibim Somyun - The snowcrab went really well with the somyun. I have a pretty low spice tolerance so I kinda lowkey died a little inside. It's good but it's like the spice stays with you kind of feeling? My friend likes spicy food so she really enjoyed it. She said it was especially tasty if you eat a bite of somyun first and immediately after you eat a bite of the perilla oil pasta. Now because of my pretty low spice tolerance, I couldn't really tell the difference. The perilla oil pasta did help lower the spice I felt from the somyun. I really enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend anyone to give it a try. The place is a bit tiny (but homey!) so reservation is probably best.

Came here with a group of friends (8 people), and we had all of the dishes on the menu, all coming in one after another, to be shared and enjoyed. It was a magical night. Each incredible dish was superbly prepared, various textures and flavors blew my mind. The chef is truly gifted, presentation matched the quality of the food. Among favorites were the hamachi crudo with sweet peas purée, the most mouth watering octopus with squash; delicate beet salad - humble dish that complimented everything else in the most dainty way. Both tender- iberico pork and beef; pasta; fried chicken - superb; usually don't care do much for scallops, and was super pleasantly surprised by these! I just realized that I loved every single dish. Including dessert. My favorite cocktail was the matcha yuzu Soju- refreshing and delicious. I strongly recommend visiting this incredible place. Thank you I can't wait bring everyone I know here!
Be the first to ReplyHaving a very pleasant dinner here on Father's Day.
The food and service are very good. The fried chicken KFC is the best according to my boys. It's lightly breaded and so juicy. It just tastes perfect. Nice restaurant decor. Other food are creative and delicious. The vanilla ice-cream is simple but so interesting.

. but definitely one of the best places I've been to so far this year!My party and I were celebrating a birthday and I think we ordered almost everything off the menu. Standouts were the pork jowl, scallop, and tuna! Our awesome server told us that their menu changes frequently, which made us curious as to what else they have to offer. Will def be back!

. . we loved the new twist on Korean food. I'm a traditional Korean food purist being Korean. 8282 came to our rescue by accepting out last minute on 2022 New Years Eve for dinner for 10 of us. We tried almost all of their menu and ordered more so that we can all taste and share. Met the gifted chief learned about meaning of 8282 (from pager time before cell phones/ now used as SOS texting)
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Korean spot.
They serves amazing and very unique flavors. Korean foods based, add chef's skill. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommend 8282!! I went with my partner for date night at 7pm on a Saturday and the ambiance was really nice and the music was the right volume so that we could hear each other and talk. The decorations and aesthetic is really nice and the food is DELICIOUS! We ordered the beet salad, KFC, tuna crudo, scallops, steak, and both PB and ice cream parmesan desserts. It was all super delicious - the ingredients taste very fresh and the flavors are really unique while still being very approachable. Great for date night and for a ladies night! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at 8282! The food was amazing - delicious and high quality. We got the scallops, kimchi salad, KFC, tuna crudo, and steak. The scallops and kimchi salad (with burrata - yum!) were my favorites but everything was awesome. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the space is beautifully designed and super clean.
