Afternoon Tea at Claridge's London Reviews
Just an absolutely wonderful experience.
The tea service is top notch and the food was great. I'll be returning next time I'm in London.

Amazing food and service!!! So many teas to choose from, food was so good, especially the desserts prob the best i've had for afternoon teas. Service was attentive and they kept apologizing for making us wait for our table, offered us free drinks at the bar and discount at the end. Truly a five star experience!!
Amazing Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea is on a different level here. My favourite afternoon tea (& I’ve tried quite a few !) - £95 which is the norm in London £110 with a glass of champagne. I could not find one fault - staff, food, service, atmosphere all amazing. From the doorman to the ladies in the powder room everyone provides 100% excellent service. To view the flowers alone is worth a trip to the hotel ! This is a special treat that is worth every penny.
A big fan of Claridge's!
We always love dining at Claridge's. The first time I visited was in 2014 to celebrate my birthday, and the team has never failed to make our experiences memorable. Recently, I took Mama Bear out for a lovely lunch and as expected we had a wonderful afternoon. The ambience is beautifully designed—elegant, warm and perfect for a relaxed lunch or a special night out. The menu offers a nice variety and although I didn’t have the Sunday roast, everything we had was flavourful and well-presented. The chocolate bomb dessert was particularly satisfying. What made the experience even better was the service. Our waiter was extremely kind, attentive and made us feel truly welcome throughout our meal. It’s always refreshing to be served by someone so professional and genuine. This is definitely a place I’d return to again.
Superb Afternoon Tea at Claridge’s - fantastic service!
Just Wow what a luxurious place to enjoy afternoon tea! If you are looking for luxury and impeccable service this is definitely an afternoon tea you should try! Claridge’s kindly accommodated a last minute booking change for 6 of us to enjoy birthday celebrations. Soliman D and her team took great care of us all afternoon, from greeting us with a warm welcome to replenishing sandwiches, champagne and tea, with exceptional service and attention to detail. The sandwiches cakes and warm scones were all delicious. Loved the iconic crockery and art deco surroundings. An extra special touch having birthday plates with candles presented to make the birthday celebration extra special! Thank you Soliman & Claridge’s Team definitely one of my favourites of all time.
Afternoon Tea Food still Top Notch, but some Service Slips Evident
This was probably our 5th afternoon tea at Claridge's and while the sandwiches and pastries were of typical high quality, the service was not up to normal standards. Our server struggled to time the pacing and coordination between champagne/tea and sandwiches/pastries. That was not so bad but after he poured the tea, he announced he was going on break and another server would take care of us. We never saw that other server, were never offered a refill on tea and were basically ignored for 40 minutes. The server came back after break and still never came by to check on us so we chased him down and told him we were done. So why still 4 stars? The room is still a special place, the sandwiches and pastries were great, and for now will assume the service problems are a one off. We will return later this fall and find out.
A Culinary Symphony in the Heart of Mayfair
Dining at The Foyer & Reading Room was an experience that effortlessly combined sophistication, flavour, and an atmosphere of understated glamour. From the first moment we entered the elegant art deco space, we knew we were in for something memorable. The setting itself is extraordinary—bathed in soft light and graced by the gentle notes of a live pianist, it creates a sense of timelessness that’s both grand and intimate. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. Our meal was exceptional. The standout was a beautifully prepared beef dish—tender, flavourful, and plated with the kind of artistry that speaks to true culinary craftsmanship. Complementing it perfectly was a sommelier who not only guided us through an impressive wine list but also curated a pairing that elevated the entire experience. His expertise and warm approach added a personal touch that set the evening apart. This was not just dinner—it was a celebration of taste and ambiance, woven together with impeccable service. The Foyer & Reading Room at Claridge’s delivers not just a meal, but a moment you’ll want to return to again and again.
Special Place
Today we had lunch to celebrate our niece’s birthday. The service was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was amazing. This was hospitality at its best, the whole experience was special and yet comfortable. We didn’t want to leave. Will not hesitate to return.

Disappointing
We had booked for Afternoon Tea. We have been 3 times previously and I have to say we were a little disappointed to say the least. Initially our waiter looked after us well, the sandwiches and scones were lovely, but not so much the cakes 😔quite ordinary. Plus a little slow with replenishing our tea choices and not changing our cups. Charging for still water, and at one point felt our waiter was more interested in speaking to some American visitors rather than checking we were happy. Claridges is a wonderful Hotel but on this occasion disappointed.
Superb food, location and service from Leo
I had the pleasure of the afternoon tea yesterday with my sister and it was wonderful. I have done many an afternoon tea but this was the best. It was a beautiful room with stunning archways doors and windows and a gorgeous setting. The food was delicious, beautifully made and some of the best I have eaten. Even the coffee was amazing. The service is also one of the best I have experience with Leo being our server. He was so attentive, we never had to ask for anything and constantly making sure we were well fed and watered. Wonderful experience I would highly recommend.
Among the live music and elegant atmosphere provided by
Among the live music and elegant atmosphere provided by Claridge's, they combine that with a fantastic selection of teas that are hard to find. We quite possibly had the best jasmine tea we've ever had. (The jasmine silver tip is something we immediately needed to have in our cabinet) In addition, their claridge's blend and some of their most rare teas were fantastic as well. The subtlety in the flavor as well as the variety in the selections was the perfect cap to a night out in London. Be sure to book in advance as we saw a number of individuals causing a scene at the entrance as they were turned away.
Review is for breakfast.
Everything was fine (nothing special) but chrissa at the front was incredibly rude to everyone that walked in. She also had a bad cold and didn't seem to think she should avoid rubbing her nose in front of guests. It's Claridges so obviously the ambiance is great. Food is Mediocre but does anyone really eat there for the food?
Excellent service but afternoon tea not as good as it was
Claridges had been our favourite London afternoon so we had chosen it for a special birthday celebration. The little birthday patisserie/plate was a nice touch. Service: Faultless. Friendly and attentive. Excellent ambience and setting. Sandwiches: Lacking flavour except the ham and smoked salmon ones. Both dinners when asked if wanting more sandwiches requested more salmon (as the only ones we would choose to eat again). Three finger sandwiches were given which we thought was odd as it meant we’d need to split the third one. When you are paying £253 for two for afternoon tea I think Claridges could ‘treat’ us to that extra half a finger sandwich! Cakes: There were 4 varieties but 3 were very similar as they were egg white heavy. Lemon meringue/coconut mousse/orange pavlova. They were all white/yellow in appearance too. Both diners commented on this and felt the menu needed looking at to be less repetitive and felt this needed feeding back. In summary both diners felt there were superior afternoon tea offerings for a lot less money to be had elsewhere.
My friend recommended this to me as he had taken his mum
My friend recommended this to me as he had taken his mum there for a special occasion and they l loved it. I took my mum there as well for her birthday and i had no idea it was basically an unlimited afternoon tea session for 2 hours. It's a very large and airy space in the hotel with lovely live music playing throughout. Everyone very helpful and attentive. Loved every detail and recommendation they had for us. Definitely want to go again!
Came here for afternoon tea.
Lots of traditional decorations and very grand. Definitely come hungry as the you are able the requests seconds of any food. The sandwiches were so yummy and the perfect bites -- my favorite was the salmon. I also loved the scones with the jam and cream. By the time the desserts came along I was already stuffed. The teas were also good. Also appreciated there was live music. Service was attentive and ambience was very nice. The bathrooms were also very fancy with staff in there to turn on the faucet for you.
I had the most lovely experience at Claridge's this past
I had the most lovely experience at Claridge's this past Tuesday. I have had many afternoon tea experiences both abroad and at home. However the experience I had at Claridge's truly set it apart from any other afternoon tea I have enjoyed. From the moment I arrived, staff was already accommodating and pleasant. I was early for my reserved time and staff did not hesitate to squeeze me in earlier so I wouldn't have to sit around to wait. The menu was curated well and it was clear that alot of care was placed into developing each savory or sweet bite. However truly what sets apart this experience from other afternoon tea experiences I've had is the warm and down to earth nature of our servers who were attentive to our needs, constantly checking in with us on our experience. Not once were they pushy for us to add on paid extras to our experience or to rush us through our meal - they repeatedly encouraged us to spend more time and offered refills to our sandwiches and scones. Even beyond our afternoon tea experience, the various ancillary staff in the hotel were helpful and attentive. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back again the next time I am in London.
The service was perfect.
Their staff regularly checked up on us and offered to refill our teas and food (which are unlimited). The sandwiches were basic and pastries were well crafted. However, it was not my cup of tea. If you're on holiday/vacation and are considering booking afternoon tea, skip it. It was not worth the £100/person. Very plain food and pastries. You're only paying for the outdated and vintage experience. My least favorite food and dining experience during my stop in London. There are less expensive options for afternoon tea in London.
My absolute new favorite hotel! This is the epitome of
My absolute new favorite hotel! This is the epitome of luxury and classic British royalty. I've stayed at other hotels in London, more modern, but this was a much more amazing experience. The whole vibe of the hotel makes you feel like you are in London. The staff truly provide white glove service. There are adorable elevators on the property. The rooms are classic and luxurious. The English breakfast they serve is also amazing. My daughter fell in love with tea on this trip. We had such an amazing experience at claridges and can't wait to come back.
Simply the best in London on every visit! Beautiful flowers
Simply the best in London on every visit! Beautiful flowers in the middle of the dining room and staff have been there for years giving great service! We had thought about tying the new Peninsula but friends said they wished they had stayed at Claridge's. Our granddaughter wants to live on the top floor there. Highly recommended this hotel.

My family and I came for afternoon tea and had a wonderful experience. Robert took such great care of us. The attention to detail, the generosity of service and food was outstanding and matched the price point. It was truly a unique experience that we will never regret. Highly recommend afternoon tea at Claridge Hotel.
Disappointing start…..
Booked in for the afternoon tea. Great experience and very attentive however it did lack the wow factor for me. Lack of wow factor was probably down to a bad start, we asked if we could go for a drink as we arrived early……..no problem however upon being escorted and seated in a very small snug bar we simply got ignored for 20mins, at that point we got up and left. Not sure what happened to cause this however staff fully aware we arrived as it was the bar host who seated us. Wimbledon tea was good all be it the sandwiches did lack the detail you would expect for such an exclusive and pricey experience. All that being said, bucket list ticked.
Customer treatment.
My wife, three daughters, son-in-law and I arrived at 5:10 for a 5:30 reservation at their restaurant. Security came over and asked what we were doing there at 5:20. None of us was dressed like a homeless person. Not one of us was loud or inappropriate. When we said we were waiting for our dinner reservation, she actually went in to check if we were in fact on the list! This place is a pompous racist dump, and should be avoided at all costs.
While on my trip to the UK, I've had locals tell me that
While on my trip to the UK, I've had locals tell me that Claridges is the absolute best place to get cream tea and I couldn't agree more. Super posh with decor and service to match, it was one of the more exquisite dining experiences I've ever had. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly, and for my mom who is N/A, a glass of non-alcoholic bubbly which was exceptional. Our meal consisted of five finger sandwiches, which fortunately were customizable based on my dietary restrictions. I don't eat egg or salmon and those typical options were replaced with a celeriac and truffle cream sandwich and a butternut squash sandwich. Both were excellent. The classics were cucumber and cream cheese, chicken salad, and ham, which honestly was the best of the night. One of my favorite things was that we were able to order more of any sandwiches we wanted! I got seconds of the celeriac and the ham, which were the standouts. Next came the scones with clotted cream and house made raspberry jam as well as the assortment of petit fours. The day's selection included a red berry tart with jasmine tea, a chocolate and coffee choux, a blueberry and elderflower mousse, and almond cake with mango compote & coconut cream. Sooooo decadent. The best by far was the blueberry and elderflower mousse which tasted like springtime. Over the course of our meal we each sampled three different teas, the best of which was an Oolong tea called Malawi Antler, which gave off an earthy scent but tasted more like stone fruits. The next time I'm in London I'll definitely seek tea at Claridge's out, and highly recommend you do the same!
Disappointing Expensive Experience
I chose Claridge’s for afternoon high tea after considering a number of other options including the Ritz, Savoy and Connaught. The criteria included the food and tea offered, as well as atmosphere and service. Unfortunately Claridge’s service in The Foyer was in my opinion lacking, clumsy and indifferent. Claridge’s is a truly beautiful hotel with outstanding Art Deco period details and flower arrangements everywhere. This includes the Foyer where high tea was served. On being seated we both noted that the jacket our waiter was wearing was crumpled and had stains when he introduced himself. The sandwiches were delicious and pastries exquisite. There is a wonderful selection of rare teas. However, our tea arrived after we had eaten our sandwiches when our waiter apologised for forgetting our teas. It then took 20 minutes to get our teapots refilled with hot water for a second pot of tea. It was not possible to catch the eye of any of the wait staff circling the tables until I raised my hand. When the waiter did appear with my second pot of tea, he was unable to fill my teacup as there was insufficient hot water in the pot. His response was to tip the teapot such that the final drops ended on the tablecloth, despite noticing this he didn’t stop. We came away disappointed and will not be returning.
Beautiful hotel but lacked service
We had a birthday lunch in The Foyer and Reading Room. The food was truly amazing, well presented and full of flavour. The hotel is so well decorated and has a really pleasant atmosphere. The downside is that tables are rather too close together, and just felt as if you were on top of each other. Also the service was lacking, we had different servers for each course and even a sauce for the fish arrived 5 minutes after we started. If you are looking for a special venue - I would choose The Ritz, far better experience
An amazing time
We came for afternoon tea, as part of my son’s 21st birthday celebrations in London. Just a truly, wonderful experience from beginning to end 🥰 service was impeccable..our waiter was so lovely, but not overbearing, as we have found in other places.Everything we ate & drank was delicious. We didn’t feel rushed..in fact, we were in there for over 3 hours. We also had a free bottle of champagne, I won’t say why, because I wouldn’t want people to just try it on…..but that did add to our experience. Would definitely recommend x
Tea at Claridges is wonderful.
theatrics is beyond compare and the Tea and sandwiches and desserts absolutely amazing .... the room is perhaps the best tea room I have been in. It is our second visit and still tres bien.... it deserve its 5 stars for an exceptional two hours.
SIMPLY THE BEST - BETTER THAN ALL THE REST! EXCEPTIONAL!
If I could rate a review higher than the TripAdvisor’s 5 points, I most certainly would. Some restaurants simply exceed excellence! I have been to hundreds of afternoon teas over the years (lucky, I know)! Many of the have been with friends and family and many with clients. But, this time, four friends were celebrating our 60th birthdays, and in my view, there was no other option for afternoon tea, but Claridge’s! Last time I went (earlier in the year) we were sat in The Reading Room. If you prefer a quieter setting, then you will enjoy The Reading Room, which is off of the main room, but we wanted to enjoy the buzziness, entertainment and experience of The Foyer. When I say ‘entertainment’, we were lucky enough to enjoy the most wonderful pianist and cellist – oh, it was perfect! We couldn’t help but thank both gentlemen as we left. But, going back to the actual afternoon tea ……. We were seated at a wonderful table and were greeted by the most charming server called Mimi – she was a delight in herself; explaining the food and everything we were about to enjoy, together with talking us through any teas and coffees – there are so many on offer. With a glass of champagne, to start us off, we had the most scrumptious selection of sandwiches delivered; smoked salmon with lemon and dill crème fraiche, roast chicken with honey mustard, roasted ham and tomato relish, egg mayo and cress, but my favourite being the gorgeous English cucumber with mint cheese! The four of us couldn’t get enough and were delighted when we were served another plate. Maybe we were all starving, or maybe they were just scrumptious and we couldn’t stop eating, but we had to ………………….. the delicious scones then arrived; freshly baked – I’m sure they were still warm, they were that fresh! Raisin and plain scones, with oodles of jam and Cornish clotted cream – yummy. But, when we were ready, after a little rest, we were served with the most mouth-watering tarts/pudding/pastries! Four each! I thought “we are never going to be eat our way through this lot”, but of course, we did! There was a different selection to that which I had had back in February – how lovely that the menu gets changed so regularly! So, a blueberry and elderflower mousse, almond cake with mango compote and coconut cream, red berry tart and a chocolate and coffee choux! Every one of them was simply delectable and heavenly! I was hoping that the girls would leave some, so that I could take them home (how common, you might say!), but of course there wasn’t a crumb left on the plates! All four of us could have sat in The Foyer all afternoon. The room itself is high and bright, with the most wonderful centerpiece – those orchids! The hotel is truly charming – the art deco – oh so stylish and elegant! And, when I think about other hotels, where we’ve had afternoon teas, the rooms are dark, with no ambience or excitement or …………. class! Lastly, ignore the bad reviews on T/A. Not that there are many, but there are a few ‘moaners’. I only wish everyone who had the most truly wonderful experience, as we did, would post! Claridge’s really is wonderful, so central and so close to Bond Street too, if you fancy a little shop afterwards! But, with the most delicious food presented – definitely my top choice in London Town.
The Perfect Place to have Tea in London!
We had a wonderful dining experience in December of 2023 when we had Tea in The Foyer at Claridges for the very first time. I have just found in my notes the name of our fantastic waiter, Jairo. He set the tone for our meal from the moment we sat down. Jairo was warm and welcoming and professional. We were meeting London friends here and our table was in the Reading Room was perfect. It was a quiet and private place to carry on our conversations. Every course of our afternoon tea was excellent. We felt wonderfully pampered and well looked after by Jairo. My husband and I come to London on a regular basis. We will be back soon!
5 star Experience
If you are looking for a special Afternoon Tea experience this is the place to visit. From start to finish we were treated like royalty and nothing was too much trouble. Chryssa made sure we could not ask for anything more. We were lucky enough to have the festive upgrade and the Christmas Pudding was divine. All the food and champagne was perfect and we had cakes to bring home as we could not eat everything. This was an exceptional Afternoon Tea! I am sure the pictures do not do it justice!
Beyond Impeccably……..
Been coming to claridges a lot over the past few months it’s my new favourite haunt while I am in London. First time in this part of the hotel. Staff are fantastic so polite and welcoming. I am a very casual dressed person so I’m in jeans, hoodie and trainers and I was still treated very nicely (compared to a lot of other London hotels where this would not happen). Got sat in a nice little corner of the restaurant which is what I asked for. The food was fantastic and the staff you cannot fault at all. The experience you get for what you pay is worth every single penny. Got given a for box of fudge ton my way out by the amazing waiter. Can’t wait to come back.
CLARIDGES not the experience you pay for!
We went here for afternoon teas as part of my sisters 50th birthday, and it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for. I wish we had booked The Savoy or The Ritz, which incidentally are cheaper. It started when we arrived by taxi, the doorman asked our taxi driver to move along, the taxi driver explained he was dropping us off, we were then greeted with a half hearted doorman opening the door for us with no greeting, he was too interested in the BMW behind us, which the other doorman was dealing with. We then went into the foyer for our afternoon tea, I know the dress code is smart casual, but a hoodie and trainers for me is not this. Our server was nice, but I felt we had more attention from other more senior servers. We had booked Claridge’s Bar for 6.45, we were taken through and were seated, we were quite happy until we realised they had us sat beside a door that leads out to the terrace, which people were using, including staff, the door was left open and the wind that was coming through was quite something. The bar staff were very apologetic, I asked one member of staff if we could move to another table, he went and spoke to the hostess and came back and said there was nothing at the moment, at that time there were a couple of tables free, he asked the hostess again later and was told, yes I have a note. We decide to finish our drinks and go elsewhere, which was a shame as we were looking forward to relaxing and having a few drinks. One of the tables was still empty when we left, so we could have had the lovely night we were looking forward to. The doormen had changed when we left and they in turn were lovely. I wouldn’t recommend and I certainly won’t be back.
Wonderful 50th anniversary celebration
We dined at Claridge’s restaurant for lunch for my parents 50th anniversary. From the moment I booked to paying the bill our experience was fantastic. The team at the restaurant emailed options for champagne on arrival and a cake to celebrate. I also wanted to have flowers delivered ahead of our arrival and they helped to ensure the flowers were received and taken to our table. We had drinks at the bar beforehand and without even informing them of who we were they brought a little dessert and happy 50th anniversary written on the plate. Once in the dining room we had a wonderful oval table to seat us comfortably- we were 6 adults and 4 children. Elizabeth and her team were so attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious- especially the halibut and beef wellington. One of the halibuts was overcooked but they quickly brought a new dish when this was raised. All of the children had an adult meal and thoroughly enjoyed them. The cake was delicious. The atmosphere as wonderful- not too quiet but enough buzz. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Thank you again
Perfect
Utterly delightful. Without a doubt the service, food, ambiance is worth every penny. Fabulous attention to detail. Beautifully presented selection of sandwiches which are replenished seamlessly as required. Tea selection which is explained with precision. Warm, fresh scones fluffy and gorgeous. Staff are well trained and could not have done more. Pianist tops off the overall experience. Fantastic and highly recommended.
I had such a wonderful experience here.
I went alone to afternoon tea, which I was a bit nervous about, but everyone was so welcoming and it didn't feel awkward that I was alone. The food and tea selection were delicious and overflowing. I ate so much I genuinely thought it was going to be a problem. Some things are expensive but not worth it. This was not one of them.

Came here for afternoon tea and had a great time! There was beautiful decor and relaxing live music playing the whole time we were there. We were served fast and the server always made sure we got more sandwiches and tea whenever we wanted! However though the food and desserts were good and presented in a nice way, there wasn't anything that I was overly impressed by, given the high price. I would come again for the overall experience, but not for the afternoon tea menu itself.
Classy venue
I don't understand how the other reviewers failed to notice the Christmas decorations - there were loads and it was very festive. Although the Louis Vuitton "Christmas tree" in the lobby was questionable. The food was of an excellent standard and the service faultless; friendly and efficient without being intrusive. However I have a couple of minor quibbles which prevent it getting an Excellent rating: firstly if they're going to charge supplements on the festive set menu, it's not unreasonable to expect this to be reflected in the online versions nowadays. Secondly, the light in the side area was too dim - I can have trouble reading in low light, so reading the wine list was difficult. I will definitely return.
Rather disappointed
We had the afternoon tea and it was deeply disappointing. I understand it’s Christmas and may cut some slack to the staff. And they need it: the service was extremely slow and uncoordinated. But the very least you’d expect from a place of this class and pedigree is good food and great presentation. None of the above at all. No beautiful tiers that English afternoon tea is famous for. Just stacks of sandwiches that looked very industrial. Unremarkable tableware too. And of course food… the bread that sticks to your palate… I would expect on a cost cutting airline. Please, go to the nearest Brown’s and ask them for a lesson. This is not a rant, this is just a shock of discrepancy between the setting, the cost and the value.
Very disappointed
Went for lunch . Considering it was Christmas there was no Christmas theme in the restaurant. Service average, poor starter, over priced and inconsistent as table next to us were served petit four . Maitre d didn’t even present herself and had to ask who was the maitre d . We voiced our disappointment but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears , she was not interested. London has far superior restaurants than Claridges in this price bracket .
Disappointing food at outrageous prices
We thought Claridges would be the perfect place for a treat for Christmas. The Louis Vitton Christmas tree was underwhelming. We had booked for lunch and was expecting something really special. I had the recommended chicken pie and mash which was ok. The chicken seemed dry and for the price I would have expected something more exciting. The chocolate bomb dessert was nice but the limoncello dessert did not look appetising at all and was just half a lemon with some sour tasting mixture inside. Very disappointing. However it was the cheese plate which was really dreadful. Some tiny bits of cheese and none particularly exciting or interesting, a few crackers, bits of celery and grapes and a pot of tomato ketchup!!! The person serving us kept denying that it was tomato ketchup but then had to concede and took our teas and coffees off the bill. The bill was exorbitant as expected. The service was good, the cocktails and bread were probably the best part of our lunch. A complete let down and the food quality was very poor. I won’t be returning.
Plush
Claridges Foyer is sumptuous to say the least. £110 festive menu plus drinks and service. The staff were wonderful, the food delicious and quite plentiful. I recommend the gingerbread dessert.

gorgeous breakfast & setting
We picked a lovely time to visit for breakfast end of November, as the entrance and lobby were beautifully decorated for Christmas. The foyer also stunning. The breakfast croissant was very tasty, great quality. Service was flawless and staff attentive. Of course on the pricey side but overall lovely experience and I recommend. Also nice touch some sweets to choose from when leaving.
A great hotel located in the heart of London has great tea
A great hotel located in the heart of London has great tea (afternoon tea at 3 p.m.) They take several different credit cards, and have big rooms. I went there with my family years ago, and they serve delicious food. I don't have any photos or I would share them. It is not cheap, but it is definitely worth it.
Simply the best.
Love this Decco ocean liner, like hallways.sumptuously Deep n thick wool carpeting. They still have the bell system With , Valet - housekeeping and (1) for the waiter. That comes to ur room to get ur order- def old school proper, upstairs /downstairs air to get this 5+ star hotel rating - definitely one of the best hotels , in the world. Afternoon tea is a Luxury, to have in one's room or suite . Champagne and Endless trays of tea sandwich's and warm scones & Devon crème.
I recently dined at Claridge's and unfortunately, I can
I recently dined at Claridge's and unfortunately, I can only give it a 3-star rating due to a disappointing service experience. Upon arriving early, it took an excessive 30 minutes for our order to be taken, but we understood that we were early diners. However, the major issue was that the staff completely forgot about us. On the positive side, Claridge's did serve some of the best sandwiches and tea I've had, but the downfall was that they never returned to check or refill our tea, despite us asking for it. We specifically came for the tea experience, and it was disappointing to have our dessert without tea since it had disappeared. What added to our frustration was the lack of attention from the staff. We had to actively seek out the waiter every time we needed something, and even then, they often failed to follow up on our requests. This overall experience was quite disappointing, and one of the waiters even admitted that they were understaffed for our table. Good service is a fundamental reason to choose a place like Claridge's in the first place, and this aspect was severely lacking during our visit. I hope they address these issues, as the potential for a great dining experience is there, but it was marred by the poor service we encountered.
When it meets the standards of your friends, people you
When it meets the standards of your friends, people you need to keep in good graces such as your in-laws and thrills your MOTHER! Thank you for always making everything so wonderful and amazing!
Hard to overstate how great the tea service is here.
Every piece of it was perfect, from the service to the quality of the teas, to the qualities of the food, to the ambiance. It was perfectly done, and even had lots of personalized elements to it. Very pricey for sure, but worth it as an experience!
Best scones
Best place for afternoon tea. The scones are delicious and the people watching is amazing !

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Afternoon Tea at Claridge's London to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Afternoon Tea at Claridge's London!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
