Properly portioned sweet and savory bites against a backdrop of live piano music, beautiful interior design filled with natural light, and amazing service. We opted for the £70 afternoon tea set with one flowering jasmine and lily tea, and one whole rose buds tea (free unlimited top ups of tea, finger sandwiches, and cakes/scones).Round 1 - Six finger sandwiches (cucumber, organic egg salad, coronation curry chicken, Morecambe Bay brown shrimp, smoked salmon, line caught tuna). Favorite was the line caught tuna on what tasted like a bed of freshly made guacamole with a squeeze of lime.Round 2 - One of us ordered the herb steamed salmon, and the other opted for the goat's curd heirloom beetroot. Didn't take myself to be a beetroot person but it paired surprisingly well with the honeycomb. New home recipe!Round 3 - First tray had two kinds of savoy signature cakes (don't recall the name but reminiscent of a mini muffin with lemon meringue and a butter shortbread topped with a chocolate cherry coated citrus). Second tray had plain and raisin scones. Third tray had Cornish clotted cream (like butter), lemon curd (like lemon pudding), and strawberry jam.My vote for best traditional afternoon tea in London.
