Ai Fiori New York Reviews from The Last Year
Dinner at Ai Fiori
Excellent food and service. Very sophisticated, but accessible at the same time. Also, just right potion sizes. Much of the flavors were actually new to me.

What an amazing restaurant! My first visit was for dinner, and it was just fabulous. Today, I had the pleasure of dining here for lunch, and I enjoyed every single bite. Located in the Langham Hotel, which is exceptional in its own way this restaurant truly elevates your dining experience.
Nice food and nice place and nice location.
Just on the fifth avenue but you have to get into The Langham Hotel on the second floor from lobby circle steps. It's a little hard to find it.

Everything We ordered was awesome! I strongly recommend the lobster soup and trofie nero. Also the staff was really nice.
Beautiful environment date restaurant, appetiser
Beautiful environment date restaurant, appetiser recommended octopus, crispy outside and tender inside, the sauce is also very unique, pasta recommended lobster that (forget what to call it), feel like Italian dumplings, super tasty , non-alcoholic cocktails are also very good!

TREATED SHABBILY!!!
I made a reservation at Ai Fiori one month ahead of time, as soon as the reservations opened up for the evening we wished to dine. A good friend had highly recommended this restaurant. We are from out of town and do not get to New York very often, so when we do it is a special occasion for us. I received a phone call ONE WEEK ahead of our planned dinner telling me that they were hosting a private event that evening and our reservation was cancelled. Many of the preferred/popular restaurants in NYC book up as soon as reservations open up so I don't understand why they would take my reservation and then wait until a week before to tell us it was cancelled. They didn't know they booked a private event until a week before? It was clearly too late for me to get another reservation any place we would have wanted to dine! The woman who called me asked if we would like to dine at their sister restaurant Marea, which would have been okay with us. She then obviously checked online and proceeded to tell me they were booked for that night as well. This was NOT helpful. I could have done the same thing, with the same result! The only other time something similar happened to us in NYC was when we arrived at a restaurant that unfortunately was having a kitchen fire and was unable to open (no lie!) They got on the phone immediately and secured a reservation for us at a wonderful Michelin starred restaurant on a Saturday night by pulling some strings. This whole experience with Ai Fiori was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. There are too many excellent restaurants in New York to patronize one that does not appreciate their patrons.
Exceeded my already high expectations
Both the service and the food were wonderful. we shared a few appetizers (Tartar & Foie Gras) and I went with Halibut- the Spaghetti (w one of my favorite- Bottarga) was also sublime. 'm not generally a desert guy, but I was so impressed with the appetizer and entre I decided to go with the tiramisu- so glad I did, as it was next level. cannot wait for my return to the Langham.
We had a wonderful dinner here.
Attentive service, ambiance really nice! Worth a try!!!

Wow, just wow! The hubby doesn't like to spend a lot of money on Italian food so he was a bit skeptical about Ai Fiori but it was worth every penny. The space is beautiful, on the second floor of a boutique hotel - both elegant and modern. Our server was wonderful and attentive, he told us about his many trips to Sicily - made this location higher on our bucket list! We had: - Fluke Crudo - wonderful - Tartar de Carne - delicious and fresh - Market Beet - very good - Risotto - delicious - Black Pasta with Truffle - very good and not fishy - Coconut Rice Pudding - delicious - Gelatos - fresh and delicious - Cocktails - delicious Overall a wonderful meal!
Delicious food and great service.
I really appreciate the care and precautions taken to accommodate allergies.
My husband and I visited Ai Fiori for our first wedding
My husband and I visited Ai Fiori for our first wedding anniversary. The service here is simply impeccable. We were greeted kindly and were even congratulated on our anniversary after checking in. The waitstaff handled everything perfectly and explained the menu and answered all questions. Even took account for my soy allergy. The food was excellent! Genuinely one of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had. Flavours were subtle and surprising. The tiramisu is an experience! Which brings me back to the service. We received the tiramisu and it had a little chocolate square reading "Happy Birthday". Our waiter checked on us during dessert and we explained the funny little mix up. He apologised and in a flash we received a gelato acknowledging our anniversary. --That is unparalleled service!

Best Italian place we've ever been! They had a great Italian dishes with some hint of Japanese ingredients. If you are in NYC area, you should try!
Best...
What a great meal for a celebration with family. Impeccably served and with 10 of us all were happy. And a great wine list. Reviews regarding the cost are all in the eye of the beholder....you get what you pay for. Best restaurant we have attending in a while.
High Prices and Disappointing Food.
Sadly the amuse bouche, poorly presented and lacking any depth, was a good indicator of how the rest of the meal would be. Venison was served rare when I asked for medium while the sweet potato slices were undercooked. The risotto had to be sent back to be warmed as it was cold. The shrimp in the risotto was more like shrimp bits (see picture). Yes humans are not perfect but this was barely adequate. A complimentary dessert was appreciated but could not overcome the disappointment.
Always Wonderful!!
Perfect service, food and atmosphere!! This was my third visit (twice for lunch and once for dinner), and it is always delightful!! In fact I’m booked to return for dinner this week and can’t wait! Victor is our server at lunch and he just goes above and beyond!! Certainly deserves a Michelin star!!!
Food was great, but they tried to overcharge us.
Food was great, but they tried to overcharge us. It isn’t a few dollars I am talking about, it is a $100! After this experience, I will never go there again. So why???
Breakfast was disappointing
We had breakfast and was extremely disappointed. The service was very slow and unprofessional. This is the second time I have had breakfast there and had the same experience the first time. I would not go back.
I am still thinking about that squid ink pasta!
Ai Fiori offers up some incredible pasta dishes that burst with flavor, an extensive wine list and a beautiful setting that will leave you wanting to come back again and again.
Really Good
Really good restaurant. The food was amazing and the service really good. I recommend the lobster!
Good but not extraordinary
Nice restaurant right on Fifth Ave. Very good appetizers, especially the fish with caviar. The pastas are nothing extraordinary and neither are the desserts.
Avoid this place
This was one of the worst meals I’ve had at any restaurant in memory. The pastas were gummy, lukewarm and under-sauced, they had forgotten to add the dressing to a dry Caesar salad and the fish was far too well done. Wait staff was amiable, but had to be asked for everything. There’s clearly no one in charge at this restaurant.
