OK OK hotel
truly not my type of place to stay. Although location is in the main Bindi bazaar area. it is truly hard to walk to this hotel and certainly not by car as the roads are too narrow and very congested. however the hotel was surprisingly pleasant in the middle of such area. The rooms were too small but clean and good enough to spend a night or so. No windows and not much space to move around. we had taken a family room thus it was very suffocating. it is not at all as shown in the photographs. we could not stay long enough so checked out almost immediately. but then again if you have no other alternative and you need to stay in this area. this will be an ok ok hotel.

The photos are not honest, it is very bad and old hotel, a lot of cockroaches in the room, we need to sleep with light to have less them running on the bad, floor, wall. In the morning there are some animals scraping - may be rats, very dirty! the hotel is direct incide the dirty market. Trash!

Now Hotel is been renovated and upgraded Hotel amenities is too good. cleanliness best. Standard of hotel like foreign! password lock door system is extremely attractive and high security! Hotel manager behavior is too good!

This is a horrible hotel to lay your luggage with your family and friends. The rooms are tiny, no hygenic with bugs and water spots on the roof. Not recommended at all please don't go by some sites reviews. I can proof with photos

Very different from the pictures
Have booked Al Madina hotel for 2 nights and ended up booking another hotel after seeing what it looked like. Bathroom was really dirty & there was loads of mould on the walls in the bedroom. The area itself was overhelming too, dirty with rats on the streets, wouldn't reccomend for the first time visitors.
Staff was friendly & helpful though, even when we have decided to go to the other hotel shortly after checking in.
Very basic hotel in interesting, 'real' Mumbai area.
The hotel is a little difficult to find and the area is quite hectic, dirty and overwhelming, especially if it is your first visit to India! We have visited India before so we loved being in this new area of the city - lots of street food, noise, people, animals, etc...! The walk to Colaba/Gate of India is long (around 5km) so I don't recommend staying here if that is where you want to hang out.
Staff in hotel were friendly and helpful and there was free (and good) wifi in the rooms. The room was basic - we had no windows and no hot water (the boiler in the bathroom was purely for decoration!) We actually stayed here twice on our trip to India and on our second visit the room was not as clean as the first time - there were quite a lot of hairs on the bed and in the sink plug. We also had one evening with no water at all - not ideal after a day walking in the city!
Another issue we had was the loud noise, from the staff, at night. Our room was close to reception and the staff were shouting and talking very loudly for most of the night which made it very difficult to go sleep.
Staffs are good but hotel is not 😉
It was difficult to find the hotel even in the rushy place. I chose the hotel by seeing star rating in some other sites. But after reaching the hotel I was dissaapointed. Really nice. Inside the toilet the roofs we're leaked. Walls were weired and bed as well. The only thing which consoles there is the staffs.
Be the first to ReplyOverwhelming location for Mumbai newbies
The staff of the hotel are very pleasant and helpful. However, the location of the hotel and cleanliness of the hotel is not great.
I would not recommend the hotel to anyone other than seasoned travellers or those who know Mumbai. I was travelling solo and found the location of the hotel to be very overwhelming. It was not a gentle introduction to India and a serious culture shock to those unfamiliar with Mumbai. It is about a 30-40 min walk to Chowpatty and even longer to Colaba, where you will want to spend time as a tourist.
The reception and staff were however very pleasant and they have chilled bottled water available.
Authentic and friendly
My First stay in India and in Mumbai as well was this Hotel. Boss and staff are quite friendly, reliable and help at any problem there might ever occur. The House and rooms are what you can expect in this part of the City and rate. An authentic stay in the Environment, good streetfood everywhere. Look pics of other comments; they show real setting.
