Alchemist København Reviews
Absolutely mind-blowing
This was once of those once in a lifetime experiences. Very unique concept. Loved the food. Every single dish is just a work of art. I truly cannot believe the extraordinary talent of . Rasmus Munk
You have to experience yourself
It is really an experience - not “just” food. From the entrance until the exit we had been positive surprised. This concept of experience/food will let us remember your service for a long time. Thanks for sharing you interpretation of our climate situation, food behavior and more .. with us in this unforgettable evening. Of course, there are dishes which are very challenging - others have just been THAT perfect. Just try - and build your own opinion.
Unforgettable Experience
What an experience from start to finish! To start with we arrived there earlier and they managed to get us in earlier, even offered a poncho - as I was cold - in case we would have waited. Needless to say it’s certainly kicked off our experience in a great way. The entry room took us by surprise in a fantastic way and managed to get us in the mood even more. We wanted to try the bunny ears cocktail, which we did and highly recommended then the magic of the food started flowing. Me and my partner went there with very open mind, which is needed to fully understand and appreciate the amazing work what Rasmus and his team does. Every single dish was on an other level, what we both have ever tasted even if there was one or two more challenging dishes. Service was exceptional throughout the evening and all of their knowledge of the food and beverage. Our host, Hannah was very professional with a cracking sense of humor. All of the team member has such a great character, which we were both pleased to see. Booking a table can be stressful as tickets are gone within a very short time but certainly worth to go through the nerve wracking time till you managed to be quick enough to reserve a spot :)
Brilliant, amazing, made better by the staff!!
Cocktails were out of this world. Had a very wild variety, all of which were amazing. The wonderful guy that served us was amazing. Knew what we wanted before we did (in the. Best way). If I had the personality and wherewithal in my 20’s I’d be as successful as we know he will be!! Can’t wait to bring our friends
Mindbogglingly awesome
We were here in December and this restaurant is definitely in my top 5 of all time. The food, staff, surroundings and ambience were all exquisite and this restaurant is truly memorable in more ways than one. We were looked after by Nandi, Mireia and Nina for the bulk of our meal and the service was excellent and it was so wonderful being able to have a chat and get to know them. I truly can not express how mind bogglingly awesome this place is and it was wonderful being guided to see the experimental kitchen and even getting to meet Rasmus himself! Thanks to everyone at the alchemist who made our evening so memorable it was truly spectacular from start to finish! I don’t want to ruin it for people who are booked to visit but I can guarantee you will not be disappointed and it is impossible to not have fun here! There are so many elements to this place like layers of an onion, and everything is planned with precision and flair.
Differently surprising!
Aware of this restaurant reputation, but intentionally avoided reading up in advance, I was ready for the complete surprise. A true multisensory experience - from start to finish . Unexpected was the humour and honesty of most of the dishes all paired with a fantastic cinematic effect. Top experience,
Mind blowing
WOW what a night. 8 hours with a full treat, incredible set-up, food, wine, art, chefs and hosts. A special thank to Liza and all staff for taking care of us, including Chef R. This night will stay crafted in HCA paper cuts, marble, reflections, copper, digital space journeys and the human mind! THANKS - this was for me mind blowing :)
One word: YES!
It’s incredible and words can’t really do it justice. The food is great, the service is perfect and the whole experience is unforgettable.
Worlds best restaurant
Perhaps the best restaurant in the world. This is not only about absolute world class food but also about a statement and an emotional tour through the different rooms in Alchemist.
best experience I ever had - impeccable service
Cannot stress hard enough how much I loved this. It was like traveling to outer space or entering a portal to another world. The service was amazing, both prior to our visit (from the people in the office) and during, from the kitchen and waiters. Our server was very attentive and told us a lot about the wines, which were very good. Will try to book again and come back <3 hope to take the kids here too when they're old enough to appreciate it. My partner has some pictures that I will try to upload later.
Mind blowing
An experience extraordinary. And in every way. Of course the food is very special but so is everything else. If you are into this kind of gastronomy it’s a must try.
Best restaurant of the world
The experience is balanced for everyone. The message that Rasmus wanna share is so strong, no one can describe it cuz you have to feel it.
Worth it
This place is ridiculous because of the experience and how they pair the food with the wine and the graphics in the dome and the sound. I’ve definitely had better tasting food, but never in this context. Highly recommended.
An Adventure
We were lucky to get some last minute reservations, and lucky to be able to afford them… Visiting Alchemist is certainly a privilege for the few; both as it is nearly impossible to get a reservation, and as it costs in the range of a family holiday in Spain. That’s why I was a bit surprised when we were asked upon arrival if we would like a cocktail (which was clearly not included in the price…)? I would very strongly prefer to pay just that little bit more up front, and the not be reminded more about money on such an extraordinary evening!! I know that you must chose if you would like wine, which wine, which wine pariring package etc – that is of course unavoidable; but apart from that, I highly recommend Alchemist to provide an ‘all inclusive’ experience. A small additional hiccup is that you cannot chose ½ a wine menu. We are actually many who would like just a sip of the wine for the experience, but who do not tolerate a whole wine menu. If you chose ½ wine menu, you must pay 50% more, I cannot understand why? The rest is history - the food, the show etc. You could argue that at times the symbolism is just too thick at Alchemist. I would like to make another point about the costs, as the story repeated itself later. We had coffee and tea and had to pay extra for that as well. I wanted to taste the tea that my son got, as I thought there was more in the teapot; however, an extra 100 DKK was added to the bill. That is, indeed, a drop in the sea; but the waiter should have told us, and it was just not nice. I was not very impressed by our southern Italian female waiter. Other personnel that we met were highly professional, and it was of course a privilege to chat with Chef Rasmus Munk himself on the occasions where he showed up at our table Hats off for Alchemist, but I would prefer to pay just a little more up front, and then be confronted with as few as possible additional costs during the evening.
A meal for all senses
Why does this place not have 3 Michelin stars? I really do not know... because, in my life as a traveler and food aficionado, I have never experienced a meal with all senses. Starting from the walk-in experience, discovering oneself, then being led to the bar area where one can watch the chefs prepare the first bites of the evening paired with intricate cocktails. Yup, I was able to stomach the ball of smoke in one bite. The omelette, as well as the Catalan cheese sandwich were so well masked as something else, that they left me just wondering what would follow. The whole meal/experience is self paced and I love it. I tend to be fast at times and slow at others. No rushing at all here. The iPad with the drink menu app was simply wow; so was the wine cellar. Moving on to the dining room, which has a huge domed room with projections. The space is gorgeous, elegant, simple. Lighting is perfect and individualized. So is the server and experience all evening. Only have I experienced this attention to detail at Eleven Madison Park before. The whole meal had a story and raised awareness for how wasteful humanity is. Did this bother me? No, it helped me better appreciate my food and, more important, the science and art needed to make the "weird cuts" of meat palatable and delicious. Wine pairing was perfect and provided the right mood for the ball pit (where I could have napped for 30 mins, to be honest). Afterwards some drinks in the bar and off we went. ... I will come back. Promise.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Alchemist København at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Alchemist København page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* BraveCloth47, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* BraveCloth47 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to BraveCloth47 for any questions Peter may have as BraveCloth47 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* BraveCloth47 now uses their connections at Alchemist København to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If BraveCloth47 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, BraveCloth47 receives the $200 reward which is credited to BraveCloth47's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Alchemist København!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
