Aliz Hotel Times Square New York Reviews from The Last Year
Great times!
Great location - perfect for looking up New York! Rooms are comfortable though I would recommend the normal rooms over the ‘room with a view’. The rooms with a view are small and cramped, including the bathroom whereas the other rooms don’t have a view but are more spacious especially the bathrooms! Other than that I would definitely stay here again!
Excelent option for NYC
Excelent hotel and staff service. Gorgeus location! I missed the free breakfast but I think no hotel has it in NYC.
Definitely worth it !
First time ever staying at the Aliz and the service is AMAZING! The lobby is definitely inviting that includes a bar and restaurant called FarmToBurger. Guestroom are clean that provide great views of the city & you definitely have to check out their rooftop bar
Unhappy with the stay
Not happy with the stay. Here are the reasons. 1) The room service was given after 3 phone calls (it took half an hour for the cutlery to reach the room) 2) The cups provided were dirty (pictures attached) 3) The hair dryer didn’t work, had to ask for another one. 4) The automatic curtain malfunctions when operated.
Tiny rooms and long waits for elevator !
The rooms are tiny, we stayed for 4 nights and it was really uncomfortable with 2 suitcases. The breakfasts were really average and the wait for the elevators was awful, we had to walk down 18 flights of stairs one evening as all the cleaning staff were using them and one of the 3 elevators had broken down.
Gives Times Sq Hotels a Good Name
I usually avoid Times Square hotels because of the noise and chaos, but this little gem is tucked on 40th, closer to Garment District, and reviews reflected that it was quiet. I figured “quiet” for NYC in TSq would still involve traffic noise and dumpster dumping, but the soundproofing and location made this one of the quietest 4-Star hotels in NYC that I’ve stayed in (of 20+ hotels), including sound of A/C unit. Plus: spotless, modern, efficient and friendly. Oh, and good water pressure. Only down side is size of room. Fine for solo traveler for short trip but can’t imagine staying in regular King room with another person.
Good Hotel
One of The Best Hotel in Time Square area. Good Receptionist Near to everywhere Cozy room Clean room Good service Good Food Can kerp luggages after chek out The price very rasinable Near by to time broadway Cheeper Nice people Good food n beverages
The chair was broken.
The tv was broken. They charged and refunded the wrong card and can't seem to understand that, even when the person booking the room was a completely different person than the person adding the deposit once we arrived. Now I am seeing a charge AGAIN. I've never experienced such a mismanaged hotel.

There are only three elevators that are very slow, one of them was broken for a chunk of the time, so each time I needed to go back to my room I had to wait at least ten minutes. The staff were rather unfriendly and annoyed rather than helpful when about the elevator situation. The room was fine but rather small. The view (13th floor) was nice. The breakfast was fine but a bit overpriced for being so generic. The elevators combined with the attitude of the staff made it a real mood killer though.
okay at best
Very unwelcoming and dead-pan staff. Lobby always so busy with the roof top bar. The hotel bar only has 3 seats. The bedding was extremely well worn, pulls and threads hanging out of the duvet cover, burn hole on the duvet itself. No assistance offered for any luggage.
Pros: Clean room, nice location, comfortable beds.
Cons: expensive, check in was a nightmare, 1 elevator worked in a 40 story hotel, no microwave, outlets don't work properly.
The staff was beyond nice and accommodating.
The building was nice and clean and the bar on the 40th floor is a must! The atmosphere was chill and everyone was really nice. The bar tenders made good drinks as well. The bar tender in the lobby was nice and his drinks were superb! There were 2 staff members names Natasha and Brandon they were the best! And Diego from the bar/ lounge was very nice as well.
absolute worst client services.
the only toiletries at check in were moisturiser and conditioner. no soap, so shampoo, no shower cap, nothing else. called front desk, 30 min later called again, 15 min later called again, 15 min later went down to lobby and we were told "request was closed" wtf??? called again. after two promises to "bring up personally" thenbit was CLOSED? was then told to CALL BACK IN 30 MIN!!! i, the guest, has to follow up. was also told THERE IS A SUPPLY SHORTAGE. so dont tell your guests that they need to figure out a solution to clean themselves????? this is MANHATTAN. a "Nice " hotel that cant keep a soap and shampoo supply???? what the h*ll? never again, just the idea that they couldnt take accountability and prolly rationed the soaps to the suites it BS
Amazing hotel
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the start of February and can't praise the place enough absolutely fantastic hotel very very clean and the staff were all very helpful and super friendly.this was our 1st time in America staying in new york and we certainly weren't disappointed.its in a great location very central to most of the attractions literally a 5 minute walk to times square.would definitely recommend this hotel to people and would certainly stay here again. our room was on the 37th floor and the views are amazing.staying at aliz hotel made our first time In America amazing would definitely return.

Clean room, comfortable bed, amazing water pressure in the shower. Staff was very polite and the location is perfect. You can venture out to nearby restaurants and bars or stay in the building and go to the rooftop bar or eat at the farm to table restaurant. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Most amazing value for the price! So you might get 2
Most amazing value for the price! So you might get 2 welcome drinks and a $25 resort credit, this was the promo being run when I stayed there. Only negative is they don't have their own valet so they have a third party and charge $75 a night with no in and out. Most people don't drive much if at all when staying in town square so not the worst. I would say everyone staff wise was perfect, check out lady was a little stressed but she was handling it well. Bell hop, night security, and bar tender/barista all amazing. Might become my go to cheap, safe stay location in the city.
I last minute needed a room and this place came recommended.
The price was awesome and looked great online. They definitely did not disappoint. Really nice, looks new. Very clean. Super comfy beds. Great location. It hit every mark with me. If I wasn't such an explorer id def go back but I will recommend.

I checked in this hotel for 4 nights including New Year's Eve. First I want to say I really tried to give this place a good review but it just did not happen. This hotel is very expensive for the service and size of rooms. When you check in and check out there is always a mob of people waiting in the lobby. A large number of rooms is not available at the time of check in. It takes 1-1.5 hours to get your car from valet. Also pray to god the alarm does not go off in the Hôtel because it takes the staff forever to figure out what the problem is. They give you different stories as to why the alarm has gone off. Meanwhile it is 4am and you are once again in the middle of a mob of people who have no idea was is going on. I definitely will not stay here again. I only gave 1 star because it would not allow me to write a review without it but I would not recommend staying here for $500+ a night. It was not worth it.
I did not appreciate security coming down to the business
I did not appreciate security coming down to the business center harrassing me about what I was doing down there, when the front desk gave me the key to take the elevator to the LL and wait while my room was being prepared. How would I have even known where the business center WAS, and how to get there, if the front desk had not directed me? Then I got to my room, which had a lovely balcony, but the heat did not work! So I was switched to the room on the floor above, with NO balcony. And it's not like the heat was much better in THAT room EITHER. I actually felt confined. I would not stay in that hotel again, UNLESS I had a room with a balcony. And I would need to bring my own heater if it's winter or fall.
Friendly staff.
Housekeeping kept the rooms clean. Would definitely stay there if we ever go back to NYC.
I have never had worst experience with a hotel stay than
I have never had worst experience with a hotel stay than this. My bag with clean underwear and socks was taken/stolen/missing after a regular housekeeping. The housekeepers left sponges in the room, misplaced bed covers, everything was don so sloppy. The hotel never offered any compensation for this inconvenience, which was mind blowing, someone literally took my personal stuff from a room I am paying $1300 for 2 nights. They even charge me at the end some additional fees. Allegedly they started a claim with their insurance but never heard back from them its been over a month. What a scam of a hotel and service staff. Stay away off this place if you don't want to be robed, literally.
