Amarylis Restaurant Kraków Reviews from The Last Year
Very nice Dinner
Excellent dinner. When we told the waiter to slow down with serving, she did so and everything was great. Beautiful food and tasting very nice.
First Class
This is a restaurant within the Queen Boutique hotel located in the basement. It has a Michelin star and has had for a number of years. It is well deserved. You can eat from the A La Carte menu or opt for the tasting menu. There is a 4 course or 6 course depending on how hungry you are. We went for the 4 course. Each course was a delight. Both in presentation and the quality of the cooking. You can also have a flight of wines to accompany each course if you so wish. A restaurant we would be delighted to visit again to enjoy the food another time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic experience Delicious food, terrific wine and extraordinary staff. 6-course tasting menu with accompanying wine menu, just sitting in the cupboard... Perfect evening in all parameters
Cozy restaurant in Krakow
I found this restaurant in the Michelin Guide for our trip to Krakow. It had good ratings and looked promising. The food was tasty and overall a good value for the amount we’ve gotten. The service is also really nice. Some improvements are: Better timing between the dishes. In the beginning the timing was good but after we’ve gotten half of the dishes it took way too long. Also the staff did not let us know anything about this (maybe problems in the kitchen?). Be honest about this. Overall nice restaurant but definitely room for improvement if they want to keep performing on a higher level.
A real Gem
Service from Paula and all her staff was amazing and food was exceptional Fully recommend a visit to this wonderful restaurant and hotel. A real gem in Krakow 10/10
Glutenfree options
Me and my friend had the 6 course tasting menu with wine package, and it was amazing all the way! I informed them about my celiac disease when making the reservation, and my gluten free food was almost the same as my friends. I didnt feel like I was missing out. Also really nice service!
Average
Hmm, the food is tasty, but in no way surprising or delightful. Wines are matched randomly. It would also be nice to get something from outside France. Very decent service...
Tasting menu
It was something wonderful - the chef outdid himself. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and I will be dreaming about these dishes for many weeks. A restaurant worth recommending - especially for a special occasion.
The perfect fine dining experience! 🥂
This was a wonderfull experience! ☺️ We went for a date on aour trip as a couple. We love to try fine dining restaurants on our travels. My boyfriend is not a fan of seafood, but he enjoyed it betyer than the meat. Absolutely high quality food with exhiting flavours and textures. My favourite was the pork cheeks plate with a delicious sauce with hints of garam masala! Also the service was perfect. The wines were excellent. Would definetly recommend! 🍷
Good, but not THAT good!
The restaurant is located in the basement of a hotel. Which doesn't make it easy to find... There is an ok. Service. But it's not very cosy... Sharp lighting on the walls doesn't exactly create a cozy atmosphere. We took a 6 course tasting menu. With corresponding wine menu. The food is nicely presented, but some dishes are better than others...
Amazing experience with excellent customer service!
A superb experience, 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Would highly recommend for a perfect date night. Excellent food with amazing wines. I wasn't warned about the extra charge for the wine pairing since I only booked for the tasting menu so it was a little bit more pricey than originally expected, but it was all worth it in the end.
Beautiful 6-course menu with lots of food and experiences
Fantastic 6 course menu with wine menu. Exciting compositions and beautifully arranged. The wine was an interesting choice, which will probably divide the waters, but they all went perfectly with the individual dishes. In addition to the 6 dishes, we got 4 smaller dishes, so remember NOT to eat from home!! The service was very professional with knowledgeable information, as you would expect at a Michelin restaurant, but there was also room for a little personality,
Amazing Food
We had the 6-course with the wine pairing and have to say everything was outstanding; the standouts being the vension, sweetbreads, pork cheek and dessert. The presentation of each dish was absolutely incredible, probably the most artistic food I've ever had. The kitchen staff is clearly very talented. Service was impecable and staff was extremely friendly. The only criticism I have was the atmosphere. The lighting seemed overly bright and the decor very plain so IMOP it didnt equal the sophistication and quality of the meal. I think if they made a few changes this would be a homerun.
Great experience
I had an incredible pleasure to visit Amarylis in February with friends for birthday celebration. We booked recommended tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was excellent - perfect service with good knowledge of all dishes and wines, food was sensational (chapeau bas for chefs!), great wines complementing dishes, you can't expect more. It was a great experience and I could recommend it for everyone looking for something special.
Deserves the Michelin Star!!!!
We had an amazing evening for our wedding anniversary! The food (7 courses) was so tasty and special, the waiters very friendly without being too stiff or too lazy, and especially the young sommeliér was a delight!!!! We highly recommend the Amaryllis!
Excellent food but fell short of an excellent experience…
We were staying at the hotel and after checking out the restaurant on Trip Advisor we were blown away by the positive reviews and this being within our hotel. We were not disappointed by the food which was delicious. Both me and my partner had different favourites from the menu which is always a great sign and the wine pairing was spot on. As always with a tasting menu there was a couple of things not to taste (mandarin veal) but that is the fun with this experience as you get to try things you wouldn’t normally. Our waitress was personal, knowledgeable and always had a smile which was nice to add to the experience. A favourite of mine was the trout and both the pre desert and desert were delicious. However a star has to be knocked off for the seating. When we went in there was two other couples in the restaurant and at least multiple spare tables. We were sat less than a metre from another couple. Didn’t think much of this when we first sat down but it quickly became apparent that the restaurant was extremely quiet and we could hear every word the other couple were saying and no doubt for them us too. In fairness they seemed like a very nice couple but I felt like I was sharing a table with them and it killed the mood somewhat. Further to this every meal/drink was explained to them by the waitress and then they would do the same for us but mere seconds afterwards and it all felt a bit silly when you had just heard it. I feel this experience could have been a 5 star one with a little more attention to detail given to the seating. I appreciate having customers sat next to each other is easier for the waiters but in this instant it went against the customer experience. I would encourage any couple thinking of going here to keep this in mind when they go to sit and ask for a table with space between others if possible. Otherwise the food was great and would recommend this highly as a place to eat but the experience could have been made excellent by simply sitting customers a little further apart.
Where are the stars?!
The pictures of the restaurant do not do it justice, it's a beautiful light and airy space, with a buzzy but never noisy atmosphere. We came for dinner just before new year's eves 2023 and had the 6 course tasting menu with the paired wine. The food was sensational; every course was a work of art. For me the rabbit was the highlight, but the kitchen never put a foot wrong. We went for the caviar as well which was a lovely start to the meal. The service was impeccable from start to finish, but special praise has to go to the sommelier for his charm as well as his excellent wine selection. What I don't understand is 1. How are they doing this for less than £200 per head? and 2. Why don't they already have at least 1 star? We're fortunate to have eaten at several 2 star restaurants, and I would choose Amarylis over most of them. We will be back in June, and I am very excited to experience it again.
Fantastic all round
Visited last night with my friend. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely blonde lady. The service she and others provided was fantastic. The waitress was knowledgable and patient with us over our indecision over the wine! The food was beautifully presented, tasted wonderful and spread over a decent time period. Definitely recommend. If I could make one suggestion it would be the lighting. Perhaps a slightly dimmer environment would help improve the surroundings. A must visit whilst in krakow.
A boojey meal
Staff are warm and knowledgeable about food being served. All dishes presented incredibly and tasted amazing. The timings between each meal are perfect, with nice gestures across the amuse bouche, intermezzo and Petit fours. It’s a great night to relax and converse whilst enjoying some high quality food
Excellent tasting menu
We went here as a special treat to celebrate my birthday and weren't disappointed. We chose the 6 course tasting menu, but with bread, intermezzo, pre dessert and petit fours it actually felt like 9/10 courses. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiter told us all about each course as it was brought out. The restaurant was very quiet (maximum 9 people) so it didn't have much atmosphere, but we still really enjoyed it.
