Amazonico Jazz Club Madrid Reviews
Mediocrity at a Premium
Place has a cool vibe and the food is good. Itâs a bit pricey for what it is at 10⏠per oyster and steaks well over 100âŹ. However after dinner we went down to the jazz club, sat at a table and bought 2 bottles of champagne, more food and Don Julio Blanco tequila drinks (42⏠ea), clearly not a cheap night. The manager comes over trying to get us to leave or force us to allow a group of strangers to join us at our table. We still had more than 50% of our food and drinks on the table. When the bill arrived just I was shocked to see it happen but I have read the same gouging in other reviews, the staff tried to sneak more items in on the bill and will cause a scene if you call them out on their error. The Paraguas group has several restaurants that I like and frequent. However, I will never return to any of their establishments again. So many other great places in Madrid where you are treated better and better overall quality. Sandro being a savvy businessman would probably be mortified if he knew how the restaurant treats guests.
Avoid this place! The place to never come again
Avoid this place! The security guys can prohibit to let you in even if you have a table with group if Friends, and he doesnt like someone of your group without even explaining the reason! Like that they destroy the company and the evening! Than even if you have a chance to visit they try to cheat in you with your bill, put extra chages for anything, treating you very rudely!
Average
Good atmosphere and music but average food and unfriendly staff . Shame really as could be so much better , worth a trip for â party mode â
Racist place
The most racist and disgusting place I ever visited! I am an elegant well dressed lady , model looking one, well-travelled and used to go to the best and most expensive restaurants everywhere. I have made a reservation there and the security kicked me out of the table violently, (despite of the obligatory minimum spend which is not little price at all), insulting me that as I am from other country I cantbe there and pushed me on the street like a dog! The official claim is made and I am taking legal action against this violence! Interesting fact, they did not let in my friend from Brasil the same way and i witnessed cases like this with other ladies cause curiosly i live close by this place!
Disrespectful staff behavior
The rudest, most aggressive and disrespectful behavior in a night venue. My wife and I had one drink at the bar and a member of the staff asked us to move to the other side of the bar to which we responded that we were leaving the venue. At that time he asked for the venue security to throw us out of the venue without any explanation. Subsequently we were waiting for the manager for almost an hour to no avail. Avoid this place at all costs!
What a Disappointment.
Too expensive with horrible service. Our food was inedible, truly. And our waiters did not care and also tried to rush us out as you are only allotted 2 hours. We were guzzling our wine in front of still-filled plates of food!
Nice place, Very bad service
We were celebrating a birthday, the atmosphere is nice but the service was horrible! The waitress shouted at us and forced us to give her a 10% tip. Then while we were ordering drinks, she kicked us out of the table and intimidated us into leaving without any reason. Worst restaurant in Madrid
Not bad
Super cool environment, good service and good music. Average food, too expensive for the quality, but you pay for the location and the show, and you know this in advance. When we finished eating we were told by a person of the staff that we could have stayed after dinner to enjoy the music. So we ordered drinks. While drinking, a girl of the personnel came and asked us to leave since âthey needed the table because the club was fully booked after dinnerâ and offered us to move to the bar (an incredibly small area with no seats and loads of people masses together) to finish the drinks (20⏠each). I responded that her colleague had told us that we could have stayed so we had ordered drinks. At that point she contradicted herself saying that we could have stayed against a minimum expense of 60⏠per person in drinks (so the table was available). Since nobody claimed the table afterwards, we stayed there and enjoyed the drinks anyways. Thought it was the minimum.
Loud club music, no jazz.
Website says its a jazz club with live music. Instead we got a DJ blasting club music. They have an outrageous 60 euro per person minimum. We bought 2 20 euro drinks and then just paid 80 euros to be able to leave, it was so terrible.
Terrible experience
I booked a reservation for the Jungle Jazz Club, 1st issue the music wasnât even jazz or similar to jazz, 2nd issue they put me on table where the waiters are constantly in front of you organising forks or arranging plates meaning you canât even see whatâs happening on stage. The manager was awfully rude, when I asked for a new table she abruptly said she has no other tables. Irrespective of whether the restaurant is busy or not , your tone and the way you speak to customers matters. The food is expensive for what it was. I literally had to ask multiple times to get some sort of service. You can tell when the restaurant is lacking in service when they donât even ask you how your food was. Restaurant is overrated, I wouldnât recommend going here!!!
