Sprawled across the Philippe Starck-designed atrium at T Fondaco dei Tedeschi guests will discover Amo, Chef Massimiliano Alajmo’s casual eatery toqued by longtime collaborator Silvio Giavedoni. Once an exchange for goods from northern Europe to Venice, and now a shopping center for luxury goods from top brands, those entering the building near Rialto Bridge to dine will be seated in posh booths with bright colors while service is efficient but not necessarily friendly. Still the youngest Chef ever awarded three Michelin stars, la calandre’s location just 48km away allowing Alajmo to remain involved, familiar diners will notice several ideas referencing the flagship though Fried Pizza with Mortadella and airy steamed Pizzas are also available. Pricey in comparison to other Venetian eateries, though certainly not expensive considering the Ingredients involved, Organic Cornmeal arrives as a textural masterpiece thanks to fried Shrimp while Ravioli in Duck Ragu are elevated by fragrant Orange Butter. Also with a grab-and-go area offering Pastries and Coffee, plus several packaged goods from Max’s kitchen, those looking for the best bites will find it in handmade Noodles bright with Paprika coiled beneath Caviar and a Millefeuille made a la minute with Pears and Zabaione.

Discovery
Taste discovery, it was good... only downside, the quantity given the price of artichokes! Friendly and quiet place.
Nice cocktail, terrible food
Do not waste your money. I picked this restaurant for our last night in Venezia because it was mentioned in the Michelin guide, and I was severely disappointed. The cocktails were the only positive about this place - it would be decent for post-work drinks. As for food, we ordered a shrimp cocktail, thinking it would be something special; however, it was essentially cold shrimp with what tasted like supermarket cocktail sauce—we ordered an avocado carpaccio, which was literally (not figuratively) half an avocado with avocado sauce - nothing else. This was followed up by stuffed artichoke that mentioned nothing about fennel in the menu (we said “no fennel due to allergy” - we were also served fennel seed crackers) and Lamb with béarnaise saffron sauce that was a Lamb curry. When we mentioned the fennel issue, the server said he’d check with the chef, and nothing further was mentioned. We left the restaurant as soon as we finished our wine to eat somewhere else because of the combination of the small servings and the inability to eat everything served (allergies). We paid 152€ for such a disappointing experience and finished by eating somewhere else afterwards- we would not eat here again.
I LOVE ALAJMO “BABY SPRITZ”
I ask for a delicious Alajmo spritz which I usually drink, specifying with an ice cube, a glass full of ice arrives, I politely ask them to take it away... I get the same glass half empty... I swear half empty (full price) fried pizza accompanied by greasy... arrived when I had already finished drinking my Alajmo baby spritz. Congratulations for the service.. I don't LOVE you anymore!
Surprising
For our last evening we had dinner in this restaurant which is located on the ground floor of the Fondazione dei Tedeschi. The place is a little confusing but the cuisine is well executed and the service attentive.
To flee!
This restaurant is a disaster. We arrive around 11:30 a.m. to have a drink and then eat. We already have to wait in front of a cordon and depending on our mind the wait is more or less long. The waiter arrives, we tell him that we want a coffee and a drink, he tells us that we have to go to the café next door… we insist a little because I am pregnant and I have to settle down, he answers. that in any case the benches are all taken and shows us the bar and a table. Go to the table, we waited for him to clean it, he never came except to throw us the QR code. We command. The drinks took 15-20mins to arrive with the same grimace soup. A couple who arrived just after us were still not served 1/2 hour after their arrival. We chose not to eat there and we were right. Accustomed to gourmet restaurants, this one is just a low-cost one in a nice shopping center. I don’t even understand why it’s Michelin! The service and prices are ridiculous!
Eating at Kaufhais Tedesci - light and shadow.
In summary, a nice location for a small lunch while shopping. The restaurant is nicely located on the ground floor of the Tedesci department store. A bit too empty/lonely in the evenings, although the furniture and bar create a perfect ambience. Service attentive and quick. However, there were no instructions when ordering wine and food. The starter was very sophisticated and tasty - octopus and steak hache with white truffle are highly recommended. Vegetables as a side dish were fresh and extremely tasty. The fish and shellfish as a main course were a real disappointment, as they were extremely breaded and far too fatty. The lamb, which was also a bit deep-fried, was OK, but also fell short of the starter. Conclusion: a bit disappointing for a Michelin recommendation and in terms of value for money.
A corner of beauty, with the addition of Courtesy and Professionalism and very good food
We already knew this restaurant located inside the Fondaco dei Todeschi, and this year too it confirmed all our expectations. we had an excellent lunch, courtesy and professionalism, especially from Miss Katia, professional, kind and above all polite. complimenti.as I anticipated this restaurant is located inside a historic building (formerly the Venice post office), so it means having lunch in a particular atmosphere and then if we add very good food and the courtesy of those who serve you the magic circle is closes. Congratulations to everyone and thank you Katia and certainly, God willing, see you next year
It’s hard to do… worse!
It's a shame that in a place that seems dedicated to luxury the service is so dismal. Clearly we seem to be bothering the waiters who don't even bother to say hello and throw you a QR code as a menu. The order taking is as good as the welcome: the waiter doesn't even bother to look at you when you speak to him. In short, staff who would have more place welcoming people in a funeral home. Damage.
Relax in a historic setting
When visiting the beautiful historic department store Fondaco dei Tedesci, a visit to this lunchroom/restaurant is a must-do! The lunchroom is located on the ground floor in the center with a beautiful view of the higher floors. We were pampered and all the dishes we ordered were as if an angel were kissing your tongue (piss). Simply exceptionally tasty and worth repeating. A golden tip is to definitely try the pastries (which you should not call pastries but works of art). My partner has tasted tiramisu before, but the taste of this one is really excellent. The service is friendly and professional. If you are in the area, let yourself be pampered and enjoy life and culinary snacks. Unfortunately, the photos for illustration cannot fully convey the experience, but the eye also wants something.
Pricey.
And the treats are nothing special. The woman in the store didn't greet us or acknowledge us. The counter had used espresso cups on it. I'd skip this place.

I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
