This hotel is incredible! From the location, to the superb service we absolutely recommend this stay. A BIG kudos to Nikola who helped us with our reservation, which needed some slight changes. We are very appreciative of the service and care. We have been traveling for a few weeks now and felt very tired upon coming into Venice. Centurion Palace made is not only seamless but almost like home. Thank you!

We stayed here for 4 nights, ate breakfast each day, had lunch one day, and room service. It was pretty good. Restaurant: Satisfied with our daily buffet breakfast (with prosecco!) and our 3-course lunch while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Food was flavorful. Gluten free and dairy free was easy (I had pastries, bread, crackers, biscuits, and pasta!), and staff was very helpful. Service was very attentive. All drinks we had were good. My favorite was actually the fresh mint tea, with only mint leaves and hot water. Gorgeous views on the canal were a big plus. Note that they (and the whole city) close by 12 am so only early night caps on the terrace. Hotel: It's a centrally-located 5-star hotel that clearly has some wear and tear. Our first room - a delux room - was okay but felt a little dated, worn, and small. We paid to upgrade to a junior sweet and I'm so glad we did. Views of the canal were $$$ but priceless, just opposite one of the most renowned hotels on the island. Room had 2 balconies and comfortable seating, and a nice bathtub. Service is generally good. They also offered a free trip to visit Murano island (glass blowing) and Burano island (lacemaking), which is worth it if you have the day! Just note that you have to get yourself home from Burano by public transport or a private taxi, and restaurants stop serving lunch by 3 pm. What I didn't like: No free shuttle to cross the canal; the taxi price is standardized regardless of distance so instead we caught the water bus 3 min away. Also, they don't have irons (and paid laundry service wasn't possible on the holiday we were there, so we wore wrinkles). I wish there were more amenities for the price point, but I was more than comfortable. $$$ but would happily haves stayed in our room all day or eaten another meal there. Would have also preferred to do our fancy dinner there vs a bistrot that totally disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant here, Antinoos Lounge, is fantastic.
Great food and pairings, with the wait staff attentive and impeccable. I'd come back again without question. The sunset view is just amazing as well!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Centurion Palace. First off I can't say enough about their general manager, Paulo. He welcomed us with open arms to his gorgeous hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and stunning. Our rooms were spacious and had lovely details. It also offers wheelchair accessible rooms which was perfect for my wheelchair bound dad. The continental breakfast buffet was also a plus and a great way to start the day. I especially loved the the range of foods they had to offer: eggs, fruit, pastries, bacon, lox, and bacon. I also liked the fact that it is one vaperetto stop away from Piazza San Marco. Overall I highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Venice!

What an amazing place! Modern and stunningly beautiful with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. We left the windows open all night to hear the boats and watch the gondolas. If I could go back anywhere in the world, this would be it! Not a detail missed.
Be the first to ReplyNot the white table-cloth dinner you'd want to appreciate.
Beware, prices are such.Thé aubiance is 'spectaculaire'. Service should be superb as there are 12+ servers. Blu cheese olives = pitted olives. Unless you may eat, no service. Wearing white pants... Black napkin hairs all over my shorts... 5 star?... How?Save your money. Go to a local bar and enjoy

Old world meets new in this spectacular hotel in the Dosoduro district. Nestled between the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, this is the perfect place to stay if you want relaxation and more space than the average Venetian hotel room, and is worth every penny. The finishes are upscale and modern compared to the ornate Venetian style that you see in a lot of other places. The lobby opens up to a foyer with access to a balcony with seating to enjoy the grand canal. Our room in particular was quite spacious, with high ceilings, a comfortable tub in the corner and a beautiful view out the tall windows, which we opened a few nights for a cool breeze. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is nicely appointed and golden all over, with a modern and fresh feel, including a bidet. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with an outdoor seating area! Cereal, fresh fruit, fresh juices, eggs, bacon, sausage, salmon lox, etc... It was very enjoyable, especially when you get to sit and enjoy a great view. There's a tiny work out room on the top floor where we stayed, but it only has a handful of cardio machines. However, I think having an exercise room is hard to come by in these parts, period--so it's definitely a plus! The staff is courteous and ready to help! I'd personally stay away from the hotels in San Marco not only because of the ridiculously exorbitant prices, but the ridiculous crowds as well! I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Venice!

Be the first to ReplyI always wonder when a hotel wants all their money up front.
This whole Venice thing is a scam. 60€ for a taxi, 280€ for a lousy dinner, 40€ to park my car each night. Over 1000€'for two nights in a small room that was cold all night. This place is on an island. I had much better service , food, and rooms in Rome and Florence. I live in Venice , ca. I could have had a much better experience for less than this place. I feel they hate Americans and try to squeeze every dime out of you. Be smart. Just come here for they day. Save your hard earned money. By the time I am done with this 2 day trip, I will have almost 3,000 into a crap hole with a view.. That smells bad and has no heat .
Be the first to ReplyThis is a nice hotel with a fabulous location.
It is away from the crowds. It is close to the sites. It is right up the path from the Guggenheim museum. There are a lot of unique shops in the neighborhood. I like the shop with the locally made silk lamps and silk scarves. It is worth a visit to sit and have a cocktail with a view. The hotel is sweet to stay in too. It would be a 5-star spot but they make it difficult and expensive to sign on the wifi.

Located in the Dorsoduro district, Centurion Palace was worth every penny we paid.We reserved two nights in a double deluxe room (a bit more spacious than their deluxe) and shoulder season still rang in at around $300/night. The hotel itself is beautiful and amenities can't be beat: complimentary transportation to St. Mark's square at night on their private water taxi, turn down service, fine toiletries that do NOT dry your skin (you even get an "intimate wash"!), fluffy Italian Ferrara bathrobe and slippers, beautiful and modern decorated rooms, gilded bathrooms with a rain fall shower head. The bed was super comfy and the extra pillows were much appreciated! The breakfast spread is ridiculously luxurious: hot food, lox, cheeses and salumi, actual FRESH fruit (not just from the can!) and a smashing view of the Grand Canal. It was chilly out so the patio area was closed. Oh, did I mention the mimosas? Si, un altro, per fevore! A hotel of this caliber comes with professional, flawless service. After our guy checked us in, he personally escorted us to our rooms, explained how the central control and the safe worked, etc. The vaporetto Line 1 stop is a short walk from the hotel which leads you to their private courtyard. The view of the dome of Santa Maria della Salute is just a peaceful sight to behold from our 3rd floor room. I'm in love with this place and can't wait to return again.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful, beautiful hotel.
Hotel star ratings in Venice are supposedly iffy. This place claims to be 5, and it makes a good case. Did I mention the beauty? The rooms are nice, large, modern, and luxurious. Soaking tub, walk in rainfall shower, and a tiny balcony looking over the inner courtyard awaited us.Very convenient location to the vaporetto. If you are a walker, it is a bit of a hike to St. Mark's because you have to backtrack a ways to get to the nearest bridge over the Grand Canal. You can also purchase direct private transportation to / from the airport through them. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and the dining area affords you great views of the Grand Canal. If you sit in the outdoor area mind your lox, or you will have a split second chance to pet a seagull (I was unsuccessful, and made fishless). A couple small downers. We had arrived via overnight train from Rome at 5:30 am, so needless to say we were up for a nap later. By the way, walking across Venice at dawn is one of the best decisions you can make. It is beautifully desolate, a polar opposite of the Disneyland it becomes a few hours later. Anyway, they could not check us in early, and actually ended up being 15 minutes late. It was extremely irritating in the moment. The hour or so we spent waiting exposed us to their awful lounge menu. It was terrible even though I was ridiculously hungry. You also get to pay a lot for it. Wifi is also not free. Seriously?Don't get me wrong though, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The rooms, building, and buffet are worth it.
