This Place Has Been Closed forTwo Years
What more can you say other than it was a nice place but it hasnโt been open since 2017 so donโt know why trip advisor still lists it. Lots of Montauk restaurants have closed in the last two years and nothing new comes along.

Thought I could readily list the "best" restaurant(s) in Montauk but discovered I was wrong. Based upon my (too many) 2017 dining out experiences in Montauk, have to say, Arbor is by far (at least for now), my favorite restaurant. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in, until the moment we left! The exterior lush, landscaping is beautiful and there is no way to know, in advance what "perfection" lies ahead. There is a stunning outdoor seating area & separate chic bar; inside there are multiple, seating areas, for large or small groups, with dramatic lighting and exquisite, yes, sophisticated decor. Food was fabulous, delicious, fresh and creative. Staff was very helpful, professional and the busboy even "crumbed" the table after we finished our first course. Haven't had that experience in years and it was impressive. Arbor is an exquisite dining experience & is a fresh change from the many, more casual, average and expensive restaurants in Montauk.

The "truffato" or whatever the flatbread with truffle oil is, is good. Everything is overpriced and the vibe is more Miami than MTK - you can always get a table because everyone would rather be at Duryea's

A bit quiet for a Thursday at 7:30, but I really enjoyed Arbor. Very cool outdoor bar area with foosball. Great bartender/drinks. Super friendly service and loved the decor, great pizza and appetizers. The only iffy thing was I don't know if that "40oz" tomahawk I paid over 100$ for was actually 40oz, still it was delicious. I would definitely recommend Arbor.

Really really enjoyed my experience here. Dined here with some girlfriends as part of our ladies' weekend in Montauk. This place is really tucked away and you would never know it exists. In fact, when we arrived, we weren't sure if we had the right place because it looked closed. The exterior is so welcoming - bright white, large windows, dark patio furniture, but the interior is truly amazing. The decor of Arbor was SO cool; think: lightbulbs hanging down, natural wood, a green, living wall. I think when you see how much dedication and detail is put into the design of a space, it bodes well for the rest of the experience. And we were not disappointed, with anything! We were one of the first tables there, so we were just completely doted upon. Brian, our server was wonderful! He was so personable and had great recommendations not only for Arbor, but the area as well. The cocktails are stellar! (Backstory: the cocktail menu was designed by the same bartender from The Garret in NYC) We all enjoyed what we had - a bloody mary, the matcha, the tarragon, and a gimlet. The food was also so good - we shared the white bean hummus platter (YUGE and so delicious) and quiche of the day, omelette, and crab benedict - I was on a real seafood kick. The portions are more than generous. In addition, the aforementioned bartender was there that day and sent us over free drinks - such a nice touch! As I mentioned in my Surf Lodge review, we were having the best luck going to places at the right time and Arbor only continued that streak.

Here on the forth of July, maybe not busy because of holiday, but the atmosphere is great, the food is even better. Delicious seafood pasta, the steak was outstanding, cooked perfectly, flat bread pizza looked amazing. A must try
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant, disappointing food, intrusive service
This restaurant is beautiful! That's the best thing we can say about the place. We ate with another couple, and shared dishes among the four of us. The appetizers were good. The meals were less so. One of us had a strip steak, and it was quite possibly the worst piece of meat we've ever eaten at a restaurant. It was so rubbery that it was almost inedible. Between the four of us, nobody wanted to finish it. The rest of the meals were average-- not terrible, not wonderful. The service was strange. During our two hour meal, we must have been asked 15 times how our meal was going. The question was asked so frequently, by four or five different people, that it was deeply disruptive and almost intrusive. It felt to us like they were trying to to send us a message-- though we couldn't quite figure out what message they were trying to send.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice setting with very average food
Went for dinner. Very nice modern chic setting. Sat outside. Found the service a little annoying. Had the Caesar wedge which do not recommend. Others had Brussels sprout appetizer which was good. The Maine courses: pasta and shrimp- poor, sea bass ok, boullibase and mussels ok. This is a real nice place to hang and have a drink, it did not enjoy the food and will not return.
