Best kept secret, highly recommend for a quick bite
This is a stunning place to have a quick fast bite with lots of options to choose from. I had tacos al pastor from one shop and an imported beer from another one. The seating is varied, comfortable and quiet. The interior design is quite lovely.

Chevalier Burger was burnt, when I ordered medium. No tomato when ordered. Fried cold. A1 Pasto confused our order with another. The water was undrinkable

Ordered the Blood Orange Bellini… absolutely delicious! Definitely surprised with how busy the place was so you must check it out!

Great food,6 different kind of food; good prices. Excellent place, feels like 100% USA. Employees treat you so good. Feels like home.
Be the first to ReplyQuick lunch, with multiple selections
On the 5th floor of the shopping center attached to the Four Seasons hotel, this is a convenient place for a quick bit, with multiple, different culinary options in a sedate environment, far superior to a fast-food place. The flavors are, in general, good, the portions generous and the prices moderate.
Be the first to ReplyModern Concept of Dining
Aster Hall in The 900 Shops Mall on N Michigan Avenue offers a new style of dining, if you will. This food court is located on the two upper levels of the mall -- Level 5 and Level 6. The order of the meal is done on the self-service, touch-screen menu board, cashless principle, then the meal is picked up at the specified food station (aka "food vault"), and you take a seat pretty much anywhere you would like to. A 22,000 square foot giant food court provides ample seating at the tables near the food stations, or in the comfortable, well appointed areas of the atrium, or in the booths of Level 5 and Level 6. There is a fantastic and posh -- all in marble and lights -- full bar on Level 6, with some luxuriously furnished seating rooms, that open to the great views of the busy city and Lake Michigan: awesome! Aster Hall opened to public in 2018. Last month I visited this vanguard food court twice. It took me some time to figure out the system, a very amiable staff lady Tanit at the Chocolate Bar explained it to me, that was so nice, many thanks! So, the first time I just had Americano at the Midnight Juice & Coffee Co vault -- coffee was good, nothing spectacular. The second time I had Caffe Latte and Pain au Croissant on Level 1 , where 3 Greens Coffee & Bakery kiosk is located. The kiosk is the part of the whole Aster Hall system. The seating area on Level 1 is as comfortable as on the upper levels. The order was done wrong, Latte was reordered -- eventually, everything tasted very good. Overall, I found Aster Hall new, fresh and interesting. I think, I am more into the traditional settings and full service when dining out, though. However, given the vast menu options from the world cuisines -- American, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Mexican -- the quick service, and the convenient location of Aster Hall, I would think, this place can be quite good for some quick dining out.
Be the first to ReplyUpscale food court, bar/lounge, with TopGolf as Bonus
This high-end food court is on the 5th and 6th floor of prime real estate - 900 N Michigan (Bloomingdale’s). We came here on 2 occasions. The bar/study on the 6th floor has a relaxing feel similar to a hotel lounge, with comfortable sofas and club chairs. The views are great if you are seated near the windows overlooking either Michigan Ave or the lake. Happy Hour has decent food ($5) and select drinks at reasonable prices. Plus on Fridays, they have live Jazz. We also went to the food court on the 5th Floor and TopGolf on the 6th floor. Food on both floors are from the same restaurants. Some food are better than others, and the food portions on the 5th floor are small for the price. I thought we got better portions when we ate at TopGolf and the 6th floor lounge. My feeling is mixed about recommending coming here, since it is pricey for a food court, but the atmosphere is so much more relaxing with varied options of activities. Lounge/Bar - yes worth a try, especially during happy hour and Jazz Fridays. Top Golf - great entertainment for the family while having good food and drinks. 5th Floor food court - meh… small portions with above average prices
Be the first to ReplyGet your coffee in the downstairs kiosk
I get coffee here frequently. Make sure you go to their downstairs kiosk. When I go to the one up in Astor Hall they NEVER make my cappuccino hot - lukewarm at best-even when asking for it hot. Today manager was too busy talking to her staff in front of everyone to pay attention to customer ask.
Be the first to ReplyGood Place for take-out
I needed something quick to eat while out shopping and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I wound up at Aster Hall. The restaurants are closed though they serve take out. You place and pay for your order at a portal. They then prepare it and call out your number. The tables are available if you wish to stay and eat there. The Al Pastor Tacos are good. They are street size tacos so if you are particularly hungry you may need more than two. You can do add-ons as well, like guacamole.
Be the first to ReplyVery good for a takeout place.
They do have seating but everything is served in packages with plastic flatware. We had salads and a bowl. Good but not memorable.

Stopped in for the first time last Christmas. It was also my first time in a Bloomingdale's. Takes up most of the 5th floor of the building. Was pretty amazed at the concept of ordering and paying by "kiosk only" and then going to pick up your food at one of the different restaurant choices. The kiosks are in the open area of the main floor. Pretty darn efficient. The choices include, stir fry, pasta, mexican, waffles and chicken, lobster mac n cheese, burgers, hot dogs, pastry, chocolate, sandwiches, salads, and more. We had a great meal and enjoyed the people watching also. Gotta give Aster Hall a try so this is a go to place in my book.
Be the first to Replyexcellent, unique options
Aster Hall is lovely! It rests on the upper floors of the 900 North Michigan building, which is one of the best shopping centers out there. They have everything, ranging from macarons & muffins, to burger, tacos, hot chicken sandwiches, and more!
I had a lettuce-bun cheeseburger from Aux Cheval and the parmesan truffle fries from the chicken restaurant. Both were absolutely delicious, and since you order from a kiosk you can customize exactly what you want (i.e. allergy-sensitive, condiment choices, etc.). You then go to the "vaults" where each restaurant is and they call out your number for pick-up. I was solo for the day, so I enjoyed my meal at a small table and it was a great experience!
Post Modern Food Hall
Aster Hall is a massive, two floor post modern food hall taking up much of the 5th and 6th floors of the 900 North Michigan building. The space is so large that it can't help but feel sparce except for the peak of lunch time. The selection is diverse and varied and you need only wait 2 minutes for the vaunted Au Cheval burger.

Clean, pleasant surroundings, easy to get food items, we could converse easily as it was not noisy, good variety of food to choose from, and food was great.
Be the first to Replycan be good if not crowded
Love the idea of ordering food from a kiosk and getting multiple menus all at once; just don't go if it's crowded - the wait time for food and temperature can vary if they're super busy.

My daughter, Jaymee, suggested we go here and give it a try. She had seen it on Instagram. We went and ordered tacos and a ceasar kale salad. The salad was ok at best...absolutely would not get again. Kinda disappointed honestly.
My husband and daughter enjoyed the tacos very much.
Super cool atmosphere...we hung out and had drinks to relax and catch up!
