My wife and I went there for drinks.
The ambiance is spectacular. I had a Vespa martini. It was so very good and delicious. My wife had a regular martini. We then had a second round. Highly recommended.

Bartenders are super friendly, and you have to love the Bacharach glass. Kind of surprised that the poor was not a better poor, considering the price point of the drink. But a fun experience nonetheless.

I've stayed in plenty of five-star hotels but THE BACCARAT?! I was not prepared for the level of luxury, professionalism, attentiveness they've shown me during my stay. I decided to come here for some quiet time for my birthday before starting a new job and I received the best rest and massage ever! They showered me with sweet treats and a lovely card for my special day (Thanks Melanie!) There was NEVER a time where my room wasn't cleaned or mini-bar stocked (I only drinked the water). I received plenty of check-ins to see if anything was needed. Room service was excellent and efficient. The air quality, television and amenities were amazing - definitely worth the price tag. Additionally, I'm not sure if this is important to anyone but I felt safe in this hotel. The level of security is intense but worth it - especially in NYC (and I'm a Native New Yorker!) When time and space permits, I will definitely stay here again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, perfect for walking or catching a car. The entrance was very cool yet chic at the same time with dark accents. The elevators were quick and efficient, I really enjoyed the pool area. The bar in the evenings was happening and staying in the hotel gives you better access to a table for the evening. The beds were so comfy and the water pressure in the shower was outstanding. Of course the smell of the entire property is magnificent.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for the tea service.
The scones were burned so badly that they were hard as a rock and inedible. The entire underside was black and it badly burned my fingers trying to break them open. The rest of the food was average. Overpriced for what you get.
Be the first to ReplyStill on my journey to find my favorite staycation
Still on my journey to find my favorite staycation Manhattan hotel and this one is a one and done. Don't get me wrong, the bar and hotel itself is gorgeous with all of the crystal.. I will definitely continue going to Baccarat for their tea service or restaurant/bar to eat and drink but the stay was meh. Had some hiccups with room, we booked with Amex and were never given any of the FHR benefits. Room was pretty but mediocre. View of alley. Room service was expensive for no reason. Ordering late night dessert would be a crazy amount for some cookies and milk, then they have big service charge, bring it up to your room charge, etc etc. Ended up making late night munchies of 3 cookies and a glass of milk close to $70 or $80. Maybe more worth it if the cookies were extra special and great tasting... nope, just Baccarat nickel and diming everything. Mind you, this isn't a huge resort where they're walking far to get your stuff to you. Turn down service was hit or miss but they did stop by and drop off macaroons each evening. They have just the restaurant and bar for dining so not a ton of options, and during the week the restaurant and bar were pretty dead. Picked up on the weekend. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous but small and lacking other touches I like from other 5 star hotels. I will go back for the bar but my top Manhattan hotel hunt continues!
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel is 5 star.
Really upscale nice custom boutique hotel. Everything is French. Upon checking in your room you will find two macaroons best I ever had so soft it melts. Highly recommended great hotel love the designs and bed & sheets are high quality. One good thing the hair dryer in this hotel is a decent T3 hair dryer it isn't one of those cheap ones you find in vegas hotels.

..it's been a while since I've been to NYC. By far my favorite hotel here now. And I've been lucky/fortunate and blessed to stay at some of the most premiere/ luxury hotels all over . The job I was here paid for it but I'm so surprised I've never stayed here. Defintrly going to be my hotel of choice if I get to pick with other clients 100%! Or If Im really treating myself next time I'm in NYC for business or Leisure. It's truly worth it .

This opulent property is incredibly swanky with luxury exuding from every angle. I stayed here for a quick, solo weekend trip in NY. After seeing social media vids and reviews on this hotel, I couldn't resist. Booked my room and I DO NOT REGRET THIS DECISION. My hotel room was pristine clean; cozy, yet spacious; dripping with the Baccarat-like details from the crystal light fixtures to the mirror embedded television, clear and crisp surround sound features, perfectly scalloped etched wall textures, the comfortable, 4-post king bed, Baccarat bar ware; and the bathroom was BEAUTIFULLY designed including white marble, rainfall shower, and Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris bath products. I carved out time to visit Spa La Mer, and had a relaxing treatment. Lastly, the on-site 53rd Street Boutique gives us the option to shop Baccarat products and, honey, the decor and merchandising concept of this space is artsy & elegant. Last but not least.....THE SERVICE was top tier. Every single person that I encountered who worked for the property was professional, accommodating, and kind. I was always greeted with a smile from day one. Thank you for a memorable stay. I will be back!

I'm regular coustiumer of the bar, here is use to be always good atmosphere and service. My friend and I were there yesterday night. I decided to pay cash, but friend ask me to give him a cash and he will pay for both of us by card.Several times i asked bartenders to give me back my cash. They don't wanted to.I don't know what's what dark business you have with cash ,but if client ask to give back the money - it means give back the money. In the end Afro-American bartender was shouted on me that I have to apologize and and say please Sir if I want my money back .Why you bartender ask clients to apologize for them money?Maybe every time when I come to your bar to spend my money I have to apologize before have sid?

The crystal chandeliers are exquisite. The staff is beyond helpful. The recommendations were not a disappointment. Bar is elegant and lively.

We have just returned from a four night stay at Baccarat and can't stop raving about it. Elegant luxury combined with impeccable service establish Baccarat as the PLACE to stay in NYC. The GM, Pradeep, was incredibly attentive and generous with his time, and went above and beyond to provide us with a top-notch experience. The F&B Director (Vittorio), the Bar manager, as well as Antoine and Soulman were all remarkable. Thank you to the entire staff and special gratitude to Pradeep and Vittorio, for making us feel welcome and well cared for. It was our first stay at the hotel and you have converted us to life-time guests!

I don't even know where to begin! Can I start with a negative star! I've never felt discriminated and disrespected the way Baccarat Employees treated me and my little sister last night ever before. After a fun dinner we decided to go Baccarat and have tea but instead we we're treated with disrespect, humiliation and discrimination. We requested to be seated at the salon and before we even take our coats off or give us water. We were disrespected by the host(Alicia)! She was nasty and rude. She said a snarky remark "by the way, you guys told me that you are just having tea! There is a $75 per person TO sit there! and the she walked away. Me and my little sister couldn't believe on what just happened. We were both confused because it came out of no where and totally unexpected. I understand that each restaurant have rules or law that we need to follow but I didn't need to get treated like that! She made us feel like we don't have enough money to cover the bill! It was beyond uncomfortable.I've never experience something like that ever before! I simply told the waiter to bring that rude host back because I have so many questions! She then tried to save herself because she knows she did something wrong. By then the whole night is ruined! She ruined the fun and sucked the air out of it! We have no choice than to walk out . It was beyond an uncomfortable scene! I can't believe that happened to me and my sister in a 5 star facility. I hope that Alicia (the nasty host) realize that because of what she did it ruined someone's night. That someone planned for weeks and in just like that it is ruined. What is she gonna gain from this? I am beyond disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyExpectations were high given their reputation for luxury so
Expectations were high given their reputation for luxury so if a classy ambience is what you're looking for then this place fits with beautiful crystal chandeliers. However, the food selection for the afternoon tea service was incredibly disappointing. The tea selection was decent and included several flavors. The scones were nothing more than hard corn bread dusted with powdered sugar, the savory items were minuscule pieces of salmon on a thumb sized piece of pancake, a dry tiny piece of waffle with dried out caviar, a tiny lobster puff, small beef tartar on a flat piece of flimsy potato skin and a turkey and cheese mini sandwich (which I could make at home). The sweet portion consisted of mini chocolate mouse cake, an almond cookie, a raspberry cream puff and mini muffins. Overall, the food lacked creativity and was nothing special or luxurious. I could find the same desserts at my local bakery or any decent bakery in NYC. The service was average but really non-attentive never asking if we needed anything. Given that the price for two people totaled over $300 without any additional glasses of champagne or wine, I expected a level of service and food that just did not deliver.

Be the first to ReplyWe came to the Grand Salon for afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea with tea is $140 per person and more for alcoholic drinks. Overall, it was a very good experience. Enjoyed the opulent decor and ambiance. There is no doubt that the venue is blingy with beautiful crystals everywhere. The food was also decent. My favorite was the savories - the wagyu skirt steak as well the octopus carpaccio toast were very flavorful and delicious. However, the rest of the sweets and savories did not amaze me. I would expect better service from Baccarat afternoon tea. Our waiters were pleasant and polite, however, they were not the most attentive. Our tea ran out of hot water and we had to look for them a few times to get more tea.

We've stayed here for 10 nights and the experience has been nothing short of spectacular. It's a beautiful, unique hotell, but it is the service that really makes it second to none. The icing on the cake was our experience with Gen, the trainer/Physical Therapist in the gym and pool area. Prior to my arrival, I had injured my foot working out, and arrived in pain and on crutches. Within a day, Gen had me walking, after performing some therapy maneuvers on my foot, teaching me some water therapy exercises, and stretching me out. The hospitality provided by him was like nothing I've ever experienced, and I've stayed at many 5 star hotels worldwide. Although I am enthusiastic overall about this hotel, it is my experience with Gen that will 100% assure my return to this hotel every time we travel to Manhattan.

I had such a great stay at the baccarat hotel for my boyfriends birthday weekend! The details in everything was so amazing- the service, keys to the suites, the bathroom toiletries (bis 540 smells AMAZING, and it's NOT baccarat rouge 540 as a lot of people mistakenly think it is, I was told the bis 540 is not for sale at the moment.), and the finishing details in the rooms were so luxurious. I loved the large mirror/tv in front of the bed.

What a beautiful hotel with all the crystal everywhere! Entering was a little odd but really nice! We went for high tea. Expensive and good!
Be the first to ReplyWe wanted to have drinks at the bar.
The bar is upstairs so we have to pass security n take the elevator. Pass the beautiful wall of lights. As soon as the elevator doors opens, Omg fancy! Great atmosphere! Amazing place for yr Insta pics. Glimpse into lifestyles of rich n famous. The bar is super fancy w giant chandeliers. We had a glass of Sincere, but I love it when the glass is the size of yr head! It was $34 but Wow it's like 2 servings. Well worth it. Can't wait to come back.

I am completely disappointed with this hotel and will never ever book there or at any baccarat product. I booked one night two rooms for executives to attend a conference in NY in June for $3200+. The travelers flight was cancelled that night and they couldn't get to NY. I called this hotel to cancel and they said to write them, send proof of the cancellation and they would reconsider the charge since the cancellation fell outside the cancellation policy. I did all of what they asked and never heard from them. I wrote again. Still no answer. I called twice to ask about the refund and I even suggested I'd take a credit for a future stay. They flat out refused. Don't support this business. They did not live up to their promise. They just took the money with no consideration for what we went through that night of a long travel nightmare.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful down to the simplest details. From arrival to check out it's a complete five star experience. The room I stayed in was 404. Very comfortable the bed the lines the robes the housekeeping, room service everything was incredible. I loved the key fobs very chic and easy to keep track of. They provide Evian water throughout your stay, not to mention everything we asked for including an exclusive reservation to Carbone was taken care of in the mist timely of manner. The staff was also incredible every single one we came in contact with went above and beyond to exceed our needs and wants. This is NOW my go to hotel while in NYC.

Be the first to ReplySo yesterday 3/30/2022 was my 18th wedding anniversary.
After Having dinner at Fogo de Choa my husband and I decided to have drinks at the Baccarat. Upon our arrival we were greeted extremely well.. As we were waiting another couple came in at that time he explain to us that they were no seats at the bar but we can be seated in the main dining area and order drinks we were both fine with it he even went as far as to explain that you know you guys will be the last people to get in so have a good night. Well that's when the niceness ended. When we got on the floor with the bar the female hostess kept explaining to us that the main dining area is closed they close at 10 o'clock they won't be enough time last order out of the dining room was i1015 and I kept reminding her like listen we got here before 10 o'clock that's why we were let up. We stood there about six minutes going back-and-forth about what time they close and how she apologize but the whole time I thought the other security was looking for spaces for us to have a seat. At that time I could see my husband getting frustrated and said he would leave to go use the bathroom. At that time I walked over to see what the bar was looking like because from where I was standing I didn't have a few at the bar directly. When I came back the white couple were seated in the main dining room and we were left standing there so security was trying to tell the female hostess that they were together but I was like no you know what we're not together but clearly she had a problem because we were black she didn't sit us and waited for us to walk away in order to seat the white couple. I pulled the security decide and ask can I speak to him for a moment I explain to him how disappointed I was that we weren't seated because of the fact that we were black and that I wasn't interested in being somewhere that I wasn't welcome so no need for him to battle with her because I no longer wanted to be there this behavior is so repulsive I am totally disgusted in 2022 they are people still acting this way but way to go female hostess what a way to ruin somebody's 18th wedding anniversary night I hope you're proud of yourself.
