Be the first to ReplyJust awesome from food to staff to ambiance.
We have been there a few time but the first time ever was for our anniversary and the owners made it very special and memorable for us. Please go.

We've always enjoyed this restaurant but the food was horrible tonight. Basic. The steak should NOT be served on the skillet where it continues to cook the dish. Sitting in all its fat and under seasoned. We ordered med rare. By the time we ate it it was well done. Plus- that's so 80's. The steak also was thin and had no flavor. You can get a better steak at COSTCO. The scallops were delicious but it was because there was WAY TOO MUCH butter and salt. The drinks were were poor. Large but not good. Desert - they used Ready Whip. So easy to make whip cream - why not make it! Cake was, eh, ok. Coffee - grey and old. Super disappointed.

Great experience!! It has a very cozy atmosphere-- we were right next to a fireplace which made it even more aesthetic. Your meal starts off with bread (always a great start). I got Newtown Chicken for my main, which comes with mashed potatoes (yum!) and bacon brussel sprouts (they were okay). Other people got the scallops, steak, brisket, salmon, and pasta; everyone was happy with their meal. I tried the brisket and that was pretty solid as well. You can also order sides separately-- we got mac and cheese-- and it was a QUALITY portion, definitely shareable (we shared between 2 people but you could also share with 3 and still get enough per person) Finally, dessert!! Look no further than the sea salt and caramel cheesecake.... It was delicious!! The chocolate chip lava cake (chocolate chip cookie, with chocolate sauce-- not chocolate cake with chips) was also enjoyed! It is located in a plaza--like a little strip mall-- so depending on the time of day and what other businesses are in the plaza, I'm not sure how busy/what parking ends up being like. Use this information as you wish lol

We dined outside. We ordered their rice balls, fried calamari, and the pan seared scallops which were on their special. The scallops were excellent and was not overcooked with nice sear it melted like butter. The appetizer came out hot and fresh. They were delicious.I ordered the steak Medium and it was excellent.I'll definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Service....what service?! Cruz was unfriendly and couldn't have possibly paid less attention to us if we tried! Food was good. But I won't be rushing back here anytime soon to sit if this is how servers treat people!
Be the first to ReplyGreat for takeout and I'm sure even better for dine in.
Love that they have spot to note food allergies. Got burgers, pasta and brussel sprouts and that hit the spot for a light family dinner. Service was great and the ambiance inside looks like a fun place to meet up with friends.
Be the first to ReplyGood service.
I started with the calamari which was in a bit of a spicy and sweet sauce, not typical for calamari. It was interesting. I didn't hate it, not love it. I had the brisket which was drowned in a quite sweet sauce. I wasn't a fan. The tiramisu for dessert was the highlight of the meal. Worth the trip for that. Overall, it was a fine meal, but it was quite pricy for the quality, so thus only 3 stars.
Be the first to ReplyI got the Kobee burger and it was amazing.
The place is great and the atmosphere is nice. You'll have a great time!
Be the first to ReplyNice place for drinks a casual meal.
The food was ok. Staff was very nice. They sat us outside by the kitchen door and it was really annoying but other than that we had a good meal

Looking for new to us restaurants, my wife and I found the Barnwood grille. We absolutely loved it. Great service, paced beautifully, a nice decor and convenient location but the star is the food. I enjoyed the pork belly app which had a great BBQ sauce that complimented the pork and did not overpower it. We had two special entrees, the Seafood Pappardelle and the Pork Cutlet Milanese. We were impressed with the perfect flavors and balance. We will be back for sure. A shout out for our waiter Cruz, he and his staff serving us were attentive to all our needs.

Meh. Went there for lunch on a Sunday. Service was polite but very slow. Food was not great. Bland. Poorly cooked. I could have made better at home. Skip this place.
Be the first to ReplyMother's day prix fix.
And might I add, it was not inexpensive either. 5 of us. Three entrees were fine and looked like what you'd expect. This was my entree. 1 piece of French toast, 3 slices of banana and some bacon. I was shocked and asked for the manager. The manager came to the table and rudely told me "well how many pieces do you want? You can have two". Just not how you treat a customer. No comp was offered either. Just ridiculous. I like to support local but only those that know how to properly treat customers. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area that deserve our business.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and a very attentive and pleasant wait staff.
Had a wonderful entree of the Chileian sea bass. The raw bar is also fresh and tasty. The salads and lobster ravioli are also excellent.
Be the first to ReplyJust a few things were not to my particular taste.
I like a cheesier french onion soup and the rice balls were Ok.Our table was super wobbly I was afraid food and drinks were going to slide off it. The fried calamari was lightly fried and nice big rings. Both of our steaks were nice, juicy, and tender. The atmosphere was beautiful from the dinning room to the bar.
Be the first to ReplyWe would absolutely recommend the Barnwood Grill for family
We would absolutely recommend the Barnwood Grill for family friendly dining, gatherings with friends/coworkers, or a date night. Service was friendly and ambiance was inviting. Their winter sangria and espresso martinis were delicious. Burger and fries were average. The Chicken Milanese Burrata is a must try, served hot on a cast iron skillet with enough for a second portion to bring home. Parking lot was very crowded for a Friday night, we had to park in other lots. Would recommend making a reservation.

Very disappointing how far Barnwood Grill - Newtown has fallen and it's not due to lack of staff or anything Covid-related. It's that they have made it a practice to regularly overbook. Last time it took an hour to be seated with a reservation. Tonight it was a 7:15pm reservation for two. We walked out just before 8pm. The hostesses do their best to ask for patience, but a table never opened despite being told three times they were just cleaning one off. No masks on any staff either. Just a shame that a pretty good place, which we went to with some frequency, has chosen to do business this way. Three strikes and you're out. Solid drinks. Decent food. Good staff. Bad management.
Be the first to ReplyI came here with my cousins for dinner after the holidays
I came here with my cousins for dinner after the holidays and it was such a cozy and welcoming restaurant. Everything was decorated nicely for the holidays and our table was next to the fire. It had a rustic feel but still a classy ambience. We started with the fried mozzarella, which was tasty and a great starter. I had the lemon chicken, at the adamant recomendationnof our server, and it did not disappoint. My cousins got pasta dishes--the butternut squash ravioli and rigatoni and both loved it. Also, the cocktails were fantastic! The margarita was the perfect blend of tasting delicious (i.e., you can't taste the tequila) but you could feel it as soon as you started drinking. A good sign of a quality bartender. I'm excited to go back again!

I've been coming here for a few years with my family, Easter brunch has been a staple for us here. The food is too good. The service is always friendly & helpful. The atmosphere is very nice. The music they play is also always very good. I've never had a bad experience here!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time dining here and you can bet it won't be the last.
We had some pretty amazing meals this afternoon and I must say that the lobster ravioli was truly the best. Great service by our server Jasin, and would like you to let him know what a wonderful young man he is. Gave us tips on what to have and he was spot on. Thank you for a delicious, memorable meal.

The Barnwood grill is getting 5/5 stars for this delicious gluten free rigatoni. Thank you for accommodating for your guests with dietary allergies/restrictions etc. as someone with a gluten sensitivity it's greatly appreciated! Service here was only ok but it was a busy night. The food here never disappoints will be back again!

Great food, and wine selection! I split a lobster ravioli with my friend that was delicious (we're going back just for that). We also both had the pear basil martini which is as award winning as they say lol. Overall great place and I'll be going back!
Be the first to ReplyThe atmosphere was relaxing.
Saturday night full house so definitely not quite, but nice to see people out. My drink was weak, had a second just because and same. Calamari was really good, entrees tuna tacos, Buratta Milanese, excellent. Dessert and cappuccino is where it got 4 *'s. Got the chocolate lava cake, very disappointed when it was a small round piece of chocolate cake with chocolate sauce poured on top. Was warm but no melted chocolate from inside which is the whole idea of lava cake. Mentioned the waiter and he was the least bit concerned. Cappuccino was lukewarm.. mostly milk again, just do it right! I'd go back for the food but skip the end.
