Sorry, don't come here, nothing to see. It's not 85 words yet, but I'll stop now.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was so good.
They tied in with Lemongrass so I had filet with green curry sauce. The soup appetizer was lick your bowl spectacular. And then red balloon dessert was the perfect light and tasty finish. Matt waited on us and was informative, helpful and most of all FUN. We'll be back.

My wife and I visited on 12/16 for some good wine and shared plates as we have frequented Lemon Grass a number of times. We decided to eat at the bar at Bistro Elephant. Since my wife drinks white wine and I prefer red we decided to order by the glass. I ordered a glass of cabernet which was served in a somewhat smaller glass usually used for white. I asked the bartender for a larger stemmed glass and was told the following "It's an unwritten rule here that you have to buy a $100 bottle of wine in order to get one of those glasses." I asked him to repeat what he had said again just to be sure I heard him correctly. He reassured me that I wasn't allowed to drink from the stemmed glass but he would be happy to get me one of the stemless glasses that they also have. I asked if he was worried if I was going to either steal or break the stemmed glass and that's why I couldn't use it. There were 9 of them on the back bar. He again repeated that I just wasn't spending enough $ to get the nice glass. In order to not embarrass my wife, I let it go. We ended up spending $156 on some apps and a few glasses of wine. Everything was very good. Prior to this visit I we had come after an SU game and I asked for a larger wine glass than what was served. I was told then that they were for a private party. Max, you may need to revisit your policy or purchase some inexpensive stemmed glasses. I spent many years in the restaurant business and many dollars at restaurants since. It's one of my greatest pleasures. I have told everyone I know that enjoys nice restaurants this story and they were amazed. I also have asked them to tell their friends. All of them. And for them to tell their friends. I loved the food and especially the Lost Slipper dessert. Never again, unless I'm out with my drunk friends and your restaurant is full.

Shhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone. The steak and chicken plates are scrumptious. Friendly neighborhoods wait staff. I'm going to keep this limited, as is the seating. Mostly wanted everyone there tonight is how appreciative I am as a frequent diner. de lish us

Steak was ordered medium. Came out rare. Sent back and came back out rare. I am not the guy to ever send meat back but the 4 other people at my table all said that is horrible. Server was wonderful. Setting was wonderful. Advertised as a steak house. Absolutely NOT a steak house. It's almost fusion they sells steak. Ive eaten all over the world and travel for a living. Place sounds great and I would t say don't go there. Just don't order steak or meat period. I had the oysters they were wonderful. That's where it ended.

Ignore the Bistro Elephant menu posted to Yelp because it's no longer the menu. To be fair most of it is similar, but without plant based proteins. We were expecting a fine dining dinner with vegan and vegetarian options. The good:Atmosphere was elegant. White table cloths. Nice wine glasses. We observed several staff members that were energetic and engaging with their tables. The vegetarian dumpling appetizer was delicious. The chili sauce really makes this dish so be sure to spoon the sauce over your dumplings multiple times.I had prig prow with tofu. The tofu had a uniquely meaty texture. The plate was spicy as advertised, and there was ample sauce to soak up the side of white rice that came with the dish.My wife had the apple crisp bread pudding and if we were alone she would have licked the plate clean. The prix fixe menu for $35 was economical if you are getting an appetizer and a main. They had a wine sale going with apparently discounted bottles. The meh:Our server was easily forgotten. Took orders and served food but did not engage with us.The Pinot Noir I ordered got worse with each sip. This may be just my preference but it took away from the meal. The bad:As mentioned before we thought we had reservations at Bistro Elephant but really found ourselves at Lemon Grass. As a vegan, not seeing tofu or plant based protein on the menu makes me nervous. If you make it well, it should be in the menu. If not, I fear it's thrown onto a dish without thoughtful preparation.Seeing white cloths and nice (large and thin) wine glasses everywhere, I was disappointed when my Pinot Noir wine came served in a short, thick glass that my grandparents used for their everyday wines. The salad that came with the prix fixe menu was right from a cheap diner. Spinach and green leaf lettuce, a few red onions, and cherry tomatoes that were so cold they were difficult to taste. The balsamic vinaigrette had to be the same bottled dressing purchased by diners across the country. My wife ordered the pad thai and said "this tastes like noodles in barbecue sauce". I tried it, and she was spot on.The night before we had an amazing meal at another restaurant (message me for the recommendation, or read my previous reviews!). Both nights included an appetizer, two mains, two drinks, and one dessert. The total here came to over $40 more than the night before.Hopefully their chops and seafood are worthwhile, but for vegetarian/vegans, there are better options around.

amazing food with perfect serving sizes! the service ( joe and aaron) was very attentive and catering towards our large party's needs. they played jazz music the whole time and the ambiance was soothing and not rushed even after we stayed a little after closing
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food!! The soups were also great.
All around great experience. Cannot go wrong with the steak or the Thai food. Both did not disappoint.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered the Massaman Curry with the seafood of the day
I ordered the Massaman Curry with the seafood of the day which was swordfish. The curry's flavor made for a delicious meal, and I would definitely come back to order it again. The swordfish was good, although a tad dry. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. On a Saturday night, there was live music, and the seating makes you feel like you are there on your own although close to another couple. The staff was very pleasant and attentive without being annoying. The dessert we ordered however was not good. We ordered the Taste of Honey, which was basically a huge pile of granola with the tiniest scoop of ice cream and a honeycomb. The honey was sweet, but do not recommend unless your idea of a dessert is a big handful of dry granola.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Went there last night for my husband's 26th birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive. The wine list is broad and as well is the menu. In addition to the food being delicious you could tell they also took price in their presentation. Everything was beautifully displayed. My husband got the ribeye steak medium with a lobster tail and I got the orange tamarind duck. Both were equally amazing. The overall experience was great. My husband and I will definitely be returning!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a great steakhouse to visit in Syracuse.
The food is great and can be pair with some nice wine and cocktails. Staff is very helpful and responsive to requests. I would certainly recommend this for special dinners or business entertaining.
Be the first to ReplyYou cannot go wrong.
Apps were perfect. Specials did not disappoint! Although you won't get outta there with a low bill, the value is definitely there. So just know that you're gonna spend some dough and it will be totally worth it. :)
