After many delicious visits, it's about time I post a review! The blue plate will make you a meatloaf believer, a goat cheese mac&cheese fanatic, and (if you aren't already) a never-skip-dessert individual. Absolutely blown away by the menu and service every-time I come. It's so clear how intentional the staff are to make your entire experience perfection. Between the patio with warm lighting, heaters, and excellent landscape (pretty sure there's a lemon tree), to the inside of their homey restaurant with beautiful decor, THIS PLACE IS IT! Eat here, go here, celebrate here. Love you blue plate! xx don't skip the keylime pie
Small, homey restaurant.
Friendly staff, great food. They have their standards, the meatloaf & fried chicken, but then mix up other offerings depending on seasonal availability. Recommend!
Holy moly.
Everything is so, so good. Never even been in person but I order their chicken, kumquat salad, octopus, and key lime pie (a whole one once) time and time again. It's the type of homestyle food that tastes wholesome to its core; skillfully balanced and not too salty, greasy, or intensely flavored. While I love bold flavors, I get satiated with them easily. Not this. It's like Thanksgiving dinner made by your favorite aunt who plucked half the ingredients from her garden out back. Blows all the Southern places I've tried in SF out of the water. And most of the salad joints. Thank you for nourishing my soul!
We loved it here.
Nice dining room, felt like someone's house. Waitress was efficient, friendly. Food was great! The menu was simple, very small, but fine with us. We got the octopus for appetizer, it was cooked perfectly. I had fried chicken, it was not greasy, the buttermilk sauce was a nice compliment. My husband got the steak, medium rare, it was sooooo good! Tender and tasty, and the veggies that came with it was full of flavor. Key lime pie was great! Will def come back.

Lovely neighborhood joint that is also worth a trek if you live out of town or in the Richmond or something. Ate here to weeks ago--it was probably our 10th visit since the pandemic started. This is always an easy choice for a "fancy" dinner: the food is fabulous in a setting and atmosphere that feels grown-up and a little sophisticated but not super upscale. Setting: The interior is cozy and fun and intimate without being stuffy. The patio is beautiful with large Angel Trumpet trees that are constantly in bloom. Service: Friendly and attentive without being smothering. Food: Their fried chicken is a standard, but I always feel their appetizers and vegetable sides are the real highlight: they always do things just a little bit differently. We split a dish of burrata with preserved tomatoes, olives and orange--something familiar but with a twist. Super good. We also spilt a salad of thin-sliced fennel, gem lettuce and kumquats with a tahini-based dressing that was honestly the highlight of the whole meal. A side of pillow-y mashed potatoes cost 5$ and we didn't finish it. They were out of roast brussels but the substituted asparagus was a delicious replacement. Butterscotch pudding, y'all! They tout the key lime pie and I know plenty of people rave about it, but maybe you didn't realize that butterscotch pudding, done for grownups, is a primo treat.

I ordered the meatloaf for dinner through Door dash and I have to say it was the best meatloaf I've ever had. It was seasoned well, right amount of moisture. It was packed with so much flavor, the mashed potatoes with bacon bits was creamy and silky buttery good and the side of green beans made this dish just perfect! For this dish alone this place gets 5 stars!

Can I please live here? Everything is perfect - the entire menu (I go family style so I can enjoy fried chicken and every other entree and save room for dessert but good luck choosing as they are all divine) the garden patio, the heat lamps, and best of all the humans that welcome me and feed me like I was family. A true gem in my neighborhood and worth a drive across town.

Came here for SF restaurant week and the deal they offered was great. I had actually been here years ago and things haven't changed much, which is a good thing so they've remained consistent. We got here early knowing parking would be difficult. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. We sat inside so I couldn't fully see the outdoor area, but it looked really cute. When we arrived there were only a few tables that were occupied, but it definitely filled up fast. I would recommend a reservation if it's a Friday or Saturday night. We each ordered an appetizer, entree and dessert, so we could try a little bit of everything and it was all fabulous. The butternut squash risotto was rich, but tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend it. Amazing food and great service. Can't wait to come back.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
