I'll never return.
Poor quality food. I placed an order an hour in advance via Yelp and the order wasn't even started. It took over 20 more minutes. Pretty sad process.

I'll start with saying I will enjoy a place, even if the food is poor, if the staff is friendly. Unfortunately neither was the case when we visited Blue Ribbon Chicken. We go to Vegas frequently and stay at Bally's so the Bazaar is somewhere we eat at often while there. After seeing this place closed, I was not surprised. Though I understand different people have different experiences and if a place is busy it can cause a down tick to the experience and food quality. This is why I did not give a lower rating because I understand this. For a year or two they kept advertising this place and when it was finally open and we traveled to Vegas I was super excited. It wasn't super busy, but the staff was acting like it was. They also acted like these strangers should automatically know the customs and how to order/where to sit and do they wait or sit themselves on their own with no signs. You know most of the people coming in have never been there, no reason to treat them like idiots. But to move ahead with this review, we ended up sitting at the bar or whatever they decided to call it. The waiter did not speak and just stood there for us to tell them then seemed upset that we ordered food. Then we waited around 37 minutes for the food to come. One of my party actually walked to a hotel down the way and back for Starbucks, when they came back we still did not have food. I can forgive timing issues, I've worked in retail/food service for decades I get it.However, then we got the food. It all looked ok but none of it had any taste whatsoever. I was thinking we're all sick aren't we? We've caught it, oh no! But there were two other parties that mentioned it as well. I tuned out after that and ate maybe a 1/3 of what I got.I'm sure they have other locations that are still open, one day I may try them, but it will not be any time soon. I'm from the heart of where fried chicken comes from, I know chicken, and I know when it's something else. One day I will try a different location and give them another try then update this review or write a new one for that locations page.

They said that the oven wasn't working so a lot of items on the menu couldn't be ordered. Do not come here. Ghetto fabulous. There are more places to go to that have better food and service. I have no idea how they have 4 stars. A whole mess.
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite chicken spot.
Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is near Bally's in the Grand Bazaar Shops. Most Vegas hotels on the strip do not have a microwave. I liked that I could purchase a meal and head back to my room with delicious hot food. Sidewinder Fries - curly potato wedges were hot and seasoned well. On the outside, the chicken was hot and crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning. On the inside, they were cooked to perfection and juicy.

The food was AMAZING ! Everything was fresh and the chicken was done on the inside. The wait wasn't that bad being on the strip..the line moved very quick and efficient. Was able to sit down and enjoy the food dining in also.
Be the first to ReplySomewhat disappointed but mostly my fault on choice.
I split the 6 piece tenders with my friends and didn't realize that tenders were white meat. I think my issue was that the tenders didn't have an aggressive seasoning to make up for the lack of flavor from the white meat. I expected some sort of sauce but didn't get that either, so I've got no qualities of the chicken to rave about besides the breading being fried nicely. The sidewinder fries were good but battered fries are always good. I want to go back and try their sandwiches to get a better idea of what is so good about these sandwiches because those tenders just weren't what I was expecting

I saw that they had tender dogs (chicken tender in a hot dog bun), and the wanted to try that. My boyfriend also ordered a side of battered fries (I don't know what it's called on the menu but it's basically like potato wedges). The service was a bit slow - there were maybe 5 or 6 parties in front, and it took about half an hour just to order. But that could also be the customers and not the staff. I did see that a few people who ordered before us got their order immediately. The potatoes were good! Even after walking it back to our hotel about 15-20 minutes, the batter was still crisp on the potatoes. However, the tender was underwhelming. Chicken was also crisp but was lacking in flavor. It was moist but not as tender as I would have liked. I did wish they gave us some of their special sauce on the side since we also ordered 6 piece tender and 2 orders of potatoes, but I guess we should have thought to ask.
Be the first to ReplyBlue Ribbon Fried Chicken is a counter-serve fast food
Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is a counter-serve fast food restaurant in the middle of the Grand Bazaar. Several tables were available for indoor seating. This provides shade, though there wasn't much in the way of AC since the doors were kept wide open. A sign stated that the stove was broken and they therefore didn't have mac and cheese, 'add the works', and a few other items. There was a line, but it wasn't too bad. Prices are average for a fast food joint on The Strip. My takeout order came with wet naps. The classic (chicken) sandwich was OK, though the chicken was kind of dry. Tater tots were perfect.

We had the sandwich and chicken tenders and the sandwich is what I would get next time. Very crispy and flavorful. Doesn't feel heavy or coated with oil. Will be back again.
Be the first to ReplyVery good chicken, but NOT worth the wait or frustration.
Only one cashier, stood in line five deep for five minutes. Then had to wait 25 minutes for my order. The cook had all the food up in no time. The cashier, only did the cash register, the soda person only made sodas, expediter was crazy slow. All the while, two people hung out in the office. At least 10 customers came in, saw line and then left while I was waiting. Cashier and soda person were watching the expeditor but no one offered to help. To make things more excruciating, order before me someone ordered a fancy or alcoholic drink. Maybe the soda person was new or under age, because the expeditor had to make the drink, and no one thought to put together orders while she was doing so. Two people in office watched her make the drink. Then when my order was finally ready, I asked for a salt packet and side of ranch, and was given 19 salt packets and 8 sides of ranch.Honestly, if place was run better, sales would be doubled and food costs way lower. My chicken was ready when I ordered it 25 minutes beforehand. Ughh!!
