In Vegas for Sphere shows and made plans to meet up with friends at Brera. The location in St. Marks Square inside the Grand Canal Shops at the Venetian is one of my favorite little corners of Las Vegas. Over the years we've been to different restaurants that have come and gone here, today we tried Brera and sat in the "outdoor cafe." We were so busy catching up with our friends that we failed to take any photos. Service was a bit slow to start and seemed like our cocktail order was a little advanced for them, but we got beverages and all was good. My husband had the branzino, our friend and I both got the pasta carbonara, and the other friend ordered the lasagna. Everything was well-prepared. We didn't share tastes with each other, but the carbonara I had was on point and made with guanciale for the win. We were brought plates of bread with your standard olive oil/balsamic dipping mixture.

I was here for a convention, and eating in this area is kind of fun, I'll have to admit. The faux Venice thing is way cheesy and campy. We had a work dinner here, and the staff were super accommodating as we weren't really sure how many people would eventually show up. They adjusted accordingly and did so without making a big deal--true professionals. Because of the party size, we had a set menu. The bruschetta was really delicious. The roasted eggplants made the dish stand out. We also had the insalada with the arugula, which was fresh and vinaigrette dressing had just the perfect amount of tang. The roasted chicken was my main course. Flavors were good, although I think it dried out a bit due to having to prep for a large crowd. The pancetta added a nice dimension to the dish.

Excellent service. Beautiful setting. But the food is the star. Everything was perfect. I recommend the frito misto appetizer and the salmon. Restoring my faith in the restaurant industry.
Be the first to ReplyA good stop in the Venetian.
We had a great salad and pizza before we headed out to the pool. There's also a good selection of affordable wine.

This restaurant had the BEST pasta and lasagna our family has ever had. For appetizers I highly recommend the meatballs and the calamari, and for entrees the fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, and the pasta carbonara were delicious. The service was great, waitresses were very friendly, the food came out quick, everything was amazing! Very clean, lots and lots of seating, and kid friendly. Arrived at 1:30 for a late lunch and we were seated immediately in a restaurant filled at approximately 10% capacity. Most patrons were finishing up their meals and clearing their checks. At least two servers present, not overly busy making eye contact on multiple occasions. After ten minutes of sitting we left assuming we were an inconvenience. Never acknowledged, like we weren't there. As we left, we told the two hostess's we are leaving due to no one acknowledging us, she said ok see ya later. Real bummer, we were told by a local chef the food was amazing.

Coming to Vegas can be overwhelming for your tastebuds and appetite, but when you know you want Italian food, you know to go to the Venetian/Grand Canal Shoppes/St. Mark's Square to get it! We had a late dinner at BRERA after arriving in Vegas. Love it b/c it's in the middle of the hustle and bustle but also a little tucked in the corner of it where you can watch the action in the mall from afar. We shared a few starters - the caesar salad, meatballs, and the octopus - all were great, and accompanied by a refreshing blackberry spritz and it was the perfect start to our trip!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible food.
overpriced with dumb portions. Lasagna $31 and the size of a medium cannoli and rounded like one. dry, no sauce. Bolognese had zero flavor. Bread tasted like dried out wonderbread. Server was very nice and tried hard. The manger looked like a dear in headlights. She wasn't prepared. We are locals and eat out often so we thought we would give it a try. NEVER again.
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing.
We ordered family style and each dish (gnocchi, lamb chops, Brussels, beet salad) was amazingly prepared. Service is top notch. Our water/wine was flowing non stop. This is in the heart of Venetian so ambiance is very romantic and cozy. Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplySeriously good Italian food that fresh and different.
We came here as a group of four and did not have a reservation but were seated pretty quickly by the friendly staff. It is a busy restaurant with a lot going on and the seating can be a bit tight but that is also part of the ambiance. I ordered the veal stuffed pasta with mushrooms and it was absolutely delicious! It was perfect and tasted amazing. I didn't have the desire to add anything type of seasoning or additional sauce, well executed! I had the dessert of two scoops of sorbet/gelato. I had the mango sorbet and the pistachio gelato, both tasted amazing and would order it again in a heartbeat. The service staff was great and very friendly as well. Overall a great meal and I would highly recommend!

Tried to arrange a 60th birthday dinner. Booked 3 months ahead and called to confirm 3 times. Was told everything was fine. On the night they spilt up our table and called me a lier when I complained and said I was told this would happen.
Be the first to ReplyGnocchi anywhere else may now be ruined.
Seriously, it was that good. Soft, light noodles in a pesto sauce with burrataThat being said, I don't want to neglect the incredible profiteroles- or the warm, attentive service. It was extra considerate of them to mention that the tip had already been added for our large party rather than receiving a double inadvertent gratuity.can't wait to return next time i'm in town

The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu, and everything is authentic Italian and homemade. It's next to the gondola river too, so we were surrounded by the beautiful pink and purple clouds, which made for fantastic photos! We started with the squash blossoms, and were blown away by the explosion of flavor. You can't go wrong with anything fried and filled with cheese! The tempura was so delicate though, so it wasn't heavy at all, making it a perfect appetizer. We give 5 stars for those alone! We had to wait a bit for our entrees and the risotto was cooked a little al Dente for my liking, but had unique, complex flavors that we enjoyed. The veal tortelli was excellent!! Very rich, hearty flavor with delicate pesto as an accent. The Tapioca Panna Cotta was so light and delicious!! We LOVED it!!

Reviews of this casual Osteria were so good that I was compelled to try it and was delighted. The Chop Salad was literally one of the best I've ever had. Not kidding. Was enough for 2-3 people and I surpassed myself by eating 80% of it. There were greens in it that I've not seen before, including a white leaf with maroon specs that may have imparted a peppery bite. The very nice Cacio was honestly anticlimactic after the salad. Gelato was nice with chocolate perfect and pistachio a little dense. Sat by the kitchen exit and everything I saw coming out looked enticing. On top of everything else, was reasonably priced and family friendly. Winner.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food in the Venetian shops.
We got 3 different pizzas and they were excellent. The venue and ambiance are really cool as well, part of the fake outdoors in the Venetian. Service was great. Above and beyond was the effort to help me get a receipt via email after I left without it. Will happily return in the future.

The food was pricey but, oh so delicious!! I would definitely eat here again. I had the mushroom risotto.
Be the first to ReplyLocated in St.
Mark's Square on the 2nd level of the Palazzo (Grand Canal Shoppes), BRERA osteria is such a beautiful spot to dine in. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do so because they were all booked up on a Monday night (holiday), though they offered to put us on a waitlist in case anybody canceled their reservation. We ended up ordering takeout instead. I placed my order with the bartender as instructed, and he offered me a glass of iced water as I waited -- such a kind gesture!I ordered two pizzas (Salsiccia and Coppia) and a pasta (Fettuccelle), and we were very satisfied with our meal. We just sat on a bench by the river nearby to enjoy our takeout and scenery. The Salsiccia was quite plain and left much to be desired, but the Coppia was flavorful and delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pasta and would absolutely order again. The prices are a little steep, which is expected for these hotel restaurants on the strip, but the portions are shareable. We'd love to return to BRERA (with a reservation next time!) to enjoy the full dine-in experience!

Located at the St Marks Square in the Venetian, I don't think you can't any better for ambiance. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Service was on point except between appetizers and main course they took away all our plates to give us new ones. Well the pizza came but they never gave us new plates and we couldn't track anyone down so we ended up just eating the pizza without plates. Took about 5 min before we got new platesFood was quite good but a general trend I found for all the dishes were that they were on the salty side. We ordered meatballs and calamari (fritto misio) for appetizer, margherita pizza, tortelli, risotto, sea bass for entree. I actually really liked the calamari. This was my favorite dish because they include fried bell peppers and mushrooms to the dish which adds to the texture and flavor. Sea bass was great but on the salty side for me. The tortelli was my favorite entree because I love any kind of dumplings.Overall 4/5 for me. Great to try once but not sure if there is any one dish I would crave to come back to.

Brera Osteria is an Italian Restaurant located in the Venetian in the Gran Canal Shoppes at St Mark's Square (where they sing). They offer a SECRET 3 course lunch for $28. If you want that then you have to ask for it because they don't tell you about it.I got my 3 course lunch with the salmon. The salmon they served me was excellent and they also prepared it to my request. I thought the salmon was worth the $28 alone. My husband got the meatballs, and the tenderloin (extra charge for tenderloin). He liked the meatballs. He thought the tenderloin was ok. We both thought the bread pudding was very dense but we liked the gelato. The Three course lunch for $28. for sure is one of the best deals in the Venetian.4.5 Stars
Be the first to ReplyHad a fantastic happy hour there, great cocktails and food.
Felt a little like being in a bar in Italy as they offered a chefs choice small bite with your drink. But the best part was the service we received from Richard E. His attitude was positive and overall demeanor of casual, genuine friendliness made all the difference. Thank you Richard, expect us again!

The food was decent but way overpriced for small portion of seafood on their pasta dish. Bad review is mostly for jacking up prices published on their website in same day by $8-10 for Valentine's Day. Not good for business and will not return.

If you'd love to eat in St Mark's Square, but don't want to travel to Italy, then BRERA osteria is your spot! Now my clients that I send to Italy would beg to differ that this is anything similar to the real deal, but it certainly gives an ambiance of actually being in Italy! The restaurant is located in the large square which makes it great for people watching! We were there only for a special occassion dessert. The desserts are absolutely decadent! I did notice the pizzas coming out to other tables and was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of each one! They also do have a happy hour with very fairly priced pizzas, apps, and drinks! Somewhat of a rarity for restaurants on The Strip!
Be the first to ReplyAs with every restaurant on the Strip, prices are higher
As with every restaurant on the Strip, prices are higher than what you might pay at home. We made reservations for 5:30 for 4 people on a Sunday night. (We wanted to be sure to have plenty of time to catch our 7:30 show at the Mirage). We were immediately seated and service was excellent. The four entrees our family had were the cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper pasta), gnocchi, mafalde di mare (seafood pasta), and tortelli (veal filled pasta). All the dishes received a thumbs up. The server warned me that the seafood pasta was a little spicy, and it was maybe a tad spicier than I prefer, but still good. The gnocchi was really good, but quite rich with the creamy sauce, so my daughter wasn't able to finish it. We also ordered a side of broccolini. The broccolini portion was big enough for the four of us to share as an accompaniment to our dishes.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an absolute gem of a spot.
The food is delicious, the atmosphere is romantic, the service is exceptional, and the overall experience is something I look forward to repeating when I'm next in town. I'd like to throw out an honorable mention to Taryn and Ricardo, you both made the night beyond memorable and we'll be coming back as much for you guys as for the food.
