Leaving this review as a one time customer/local/ and food deliver. I ordered from this place a while back through Uber eats and the food was alright. The reason I am leaving this review is cause I have had the worst experience walking into this restaurant about three weeks ago and yet I am still suffering for it. About 3 weeks ago I came in to deliver an order for Ubereats and the host/ server (not sure what she is at this point but she is the only woman I have seen working at the restaurant so far) decided that she wanted to be disrespectful and unprofessional that day and every day since I have had to walk into this place. I was there to pick up two different orders and she wanted me to take an additional order to one of the customers because it was going to the same location and it was a "group order " now the issue with this is that I am not supposed to do this per Uber but I also don't get paid for this and the next driver misses out on their earnings as well. I tried explaining this to her calmly and she was just not having, she started yelling at me that I had to take the order because it was going to the same address and it didn't matter. I kept calm because I hate making scenes and I am very calm person , I told her I would call Uber just to confirm what I told her or to even see if I could take the order, and they ended up siding with me and instructed me to only pick up the orders I was assigned. I went back in the restaurant and this woman is still going off and upset and just not having, I told her if she like she can call Uber herself to confirm because going back and forth with me was going to stop, and no one should speak to another human being the way she spoke to me. Another employee came to hand me the second order that was finally finished and this woman came and snatched it off my hands ! She stated you're not going anywhere yet. At this point she is holding back the orders that customers are waiting for because she wanted the last word. After waiting a few minutes I approached the manager ( who was standing by the bar the whole time) and explained the situation and this man stated to just take the orders I was assigned to and leave . Before I left I did tell him how disappointing it is and that no one should speak to someone the way she did, to add insult I'm not even their damn employee. He shrugged it off and I went about my way. I did call Uber and reported it cause I never experienced that with a restaurant ( been delivering since 2017) and I really do take pride in all of my jobs big or small. Just to conclude this I had to come a few more times to deliver other orders for this restaurant and this lady maliciously gives me a thumbs down every time and I don't even interact with her. I usually speak to the other servers who are friendly overall. What is upsetting and disheartening , Uber is one of my main incomes and now I am being affected by something that is out of my control I wasn't worried at first because I deliver every single damn day in this area and I have good relationships with all the restaurants in this area but this is affecting me at this point every time I walk into this place, Cafe Avanti, today For example her one thumbs down has affected my satisfaction performance and that affects the benefits I have with Uber. It doesn't even matter that I have a 97% high rating. This review might be too long but I needed to speak on my experience with this place.i have reached out to Uber as well and really hope someone helps me out with this. But definitely won't be ordering or visiting this restaurant as a local .
