Absolutely is the best restaurant! We love it , food and desserts are so delicious! 5 Stars
Carmine's is a definite cut above most Italian Restaurants.
The service & menu offerings are elegant & consistently delivered at the highest level. This is a fine dining experience to have & to repeat ! Cozy for a couple & also a great experience for a small group. The waitstaff & kitchen handles both superbly. One of our favorite places to dine in the Bellevue or Seattle. Make a reservation soon.
Really rude hostess.
She wouldn't sit us on a normal table just for desserts. I heard so many good things about their dessert, but we didn't eat there because of this rudeness. They would only sit us on the bar. It was our anniversary and wanted to have it on the table. Just to be clear, 40% tables were empty and we came in 10:15 pm so there was zero dinner rush! Rather go to Cantinetta!

We have been to Carmine's for many times the past couple of years. It has never disappointed us. The food is good, the staffs are friendly and accommodating, the vibe is lovely with beautiful Italian theme and it has the best location in town (situated next to the beautiful park). It is a much visit for out of town visitors and as well as locals who want to spend a nice evening enjoying both quality food and beautiful scenery. Thank you Carmine's for giving me good memories of this beautiful town.
The Ambiance was the first thing that swept me off my feet.
The service was top tier and waiters made sure you were taken care of and always had your glass refilled. My husband and I agree that the peppercorn steak was the best we've ever had by far and the pasta was absolutely divine. Phenomenal service, waiter was very friendly and courteous. The vanilla cake dessert was a huge portion and very decadent and delicious.
Super excited on Mother's Day to take our family .
., staff late with table , felt rushed and unfriendly . Food cold and just average .
Cozy ambience.
Very tasty food. Service was friendly. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

when you make your reservation, ask about how to park in the nearby garage. The staff will tell you what to do to park for free. Parking in the area is really tough so this is important. From the minute you enter the restaurant, the staff greets you so nicely that you immediately know you are going to have an awesome time. We had dinner. I had chicken breast-Suprema Di Pollo Farcita and it was filled with ricotta cheese--fantastic!!-- and my husband had a seafood pasta dish. We shared a Caprese salad. The Bufala Mozarella cheese was outstanding. Everyone gets complimentary bread and it is outstanding...we asked for olive oil with it. Wonderful Tiramisu for dessert. The service is outstanding. Also, the cappuccino coffee drink is A+. It is at the top of our Italian restaurant choice for Bellevue.

Lovely little restaurant, we had great weather and the doors were open as we enjoyed sunset. Our server was very attentive. We shared the Caesar salad, calamari, and I had the lobster papardelle. Delicious! We'll be back.

Our Favorite Restaurant!
We choose Carmine's for all the special occasions. We went for Mother's Day and everything was superb (as always). Our server, Ron was so wonderful. He was so attentive and so kind to our 9-year-old son. After we ordered wine, our son wanted a soda, but we wouldn't allow another sugary drink since he already had one during the day. Ron suggested some lemon wedges to put in his water to make it extra special & that did the trick, our son was thrilled. Ron told us about the daily specials and made great recommendations. I mentioned that I wanted to try something new since I always get the crab risotto or the veal. Ron said the halibut was really good, and that they do halibuts really well. It came with on a bed of parmesan risotto with saffron sauce and some veggies. I love their risottos (crab, lobster etc) so I decided on this dish, my husband followed. We absolutely loved it! If you love caesar salad like we do, Carmine's have one of the best caesars around! The dressing has a hint of green like pesto, makes it extra special. They always make up a special plate (kids portion) for our son (spaghetti with one big meatball). They are pretty good about making up a special plate that is not on the menu. Our son once wanted a pepperoni pizza and they made it for him. We just love this place from the hostess, the servers, the ambiance, the food. Thanks for making our Mother's Day meal special Ron!

5 stars! The food was top tier! The lamb, OMG! The service amazing! I loved everything about this place, to the way the servers dressed and how cute it is inside.

Upscale Italian restaurant with an elegant ambiance and delicious food. This is a lovely place for date. We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here. Servers are very friendly and always willing to accommodate your dietary preferences. Their patio seating is a nice option. Biscotti at the front desk is amazing. They validate parking for the adjacent Park 88 garage.
Decided to celebrate boyfriends birthday here.
The table had cute set up of a birthday card. Service is great, food is amazing - the house made bread was warm and so soft. We orders the bruschetta- you get the trio and it was superb! Highly recommend.
Very good food very good service.
White tablecloth and waiters all addressed and what appears to be waiter tux. Even for lunch. Very expensive overall but a overall and excellent top shelf meal.
Lovely restaurant.
We had a large party and the service was great. I enjoyed - La Caprese with wonderful tasty tomatoes and Scaloppine Di Vitello Al Limone & Capperi.
I came here with my husband for an early Valentine's Day
I came here with my husband for an early Valentine's Day celebration dinner over the weekend. First impression was that the restaurant ambiance was great, and it felt very romantic inside. We checked in early but luckily we were able to get seated about 30 minutes early in the bar area. It took a while for us to get our orders taken, as the restaurant was super busy. We also didn't get a drink menu until quite a bit of time later. The service was great despite the slowness. The drinks here were okay. I would stick to wine or get something off the cocktail menu rather than ask them to make a drink. They weren't familiar with a specific drink so when it came out it was completely wrong and not made correctly. They fixed the problem by offering to redo it but my husband got a different drink instead. He said it was still just okay. The food was good but salty. I thought the vodka sauce for the salmon pasta was going to be a red pasta sauce but it was cream based which I was not a huge fan of (too heavy for me). The rigatoni bolognese was tasty, as were the meatballs and cheesecake dessert. The cheesecake was $18, so that was sticker shock for us when the bill came out because it was pretty small. I'd come back for another special occasion for the vibes only.

I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and my son's first visit to my childhood city, Seattle! Carmines is an upscale Italian restaurant just outside of Bellevue Park and a short walk from the busy shopping malls like Bellevue Square and Lincoln Center. Street parking is hard to find and the surrounding area is dark at night, so use their $12 valet. Note the restaurant is NOT the same Carmine's at the one in New York or Caesars Palace Forum Shops in Vegas. We went to that Carmine's last November and those entrees were so big you need 3-4 adults to finish one. The Bellevue Carmine's has much smaller, but equally high-quality entrees. You'll have room for dessert for sure! The Vodka-Cream King Salmon with Penne is a superb dish, and yes its okay for toddlers too. The alcohol should mostly be evaporated leaving a rich, creamy sauce and super-soft and moist salmon (5 stars) Cedar Plank King Salmon is another wonderful preparation of you like things alacarte like me. Super moist Salmon with cheesy linguine on the side and asparagus and baby tomatoes are a winning combination. (5 stars). Wife got the pork chip, medium well. Good flavors but probably better cooked medium to squeeze some more juice out of the meat. It came with some nice risotto so you're not missing out on carbs (4 stars). For dessert, you can't go wrong with either the panna cotta or the red velvet cake. Our son ate a good portion of mom's birthday cake.
Sat at the bar - service was amazing.
Our bartender was Matt who was very knowledgeable about all the wines on the menu and trust me there are a lot! We settled on red wine to start and dessert wine (a 10 year old tawny port and a 38 year old sherry) which were very reasonably priced. I would try the vanilla layer cake if they still have it - it's a special on the menu and was available when we were dining there. It's not too sweet and is the best vanilla cake I've had!
LOVE this restaurant!! Food is great and service is top
LOVE this restaurant!! Food is great and service is top notch!! Although the noise level is very loud on busy nights - that was the only drawback for us. I'm working my way through their menu, we're just making an effort to go when it's not so crowded/loud. Parking is easy due to valet (they don't validate btw) - otherwise it's a challenge to find a spot. Very busy little mixed-use neighborhood with a beautiful park across the way. Nice to take a brief walk after eating your meal at Carmines! This is one of our top 10 on the east side - definitely recommend!

We tried the squid ink Capellini, but it had an overpowering fishy taste, and the noodles were overcooked--soft and overly mushy texture Not recommended. Service was satisfactory, and the other dish was decent, but unfortunately, this particular one fell short of our expectations.
Carmine's was a wonderful experience while we were staying
Carmine's was a wonderful experience while we were staying at Atlantis. Resort/island pricing is a bit "extra", but at Carmine's it's worth it. We had a cocktail and glass of wine at the bar while we waited for our table. We were lucky enough to be on the patio by the fireplaces and surrounded by lights. Our server was great. Carmine's is served family style, so one order serves 4-5 people. We began with the Caesar salad and it was AMAZING!!! A must order!! We also ordered the lemon chicken and rigatoni in vodka sauce. They were both delicious! There were 4 of us and we still took home leftovers. The tiramisu was only okay... I make mine from scratch, so I may be a bit spoiled, though. Overall, a wonderful dinner! Definitely recommend! (BTW, the tap water is just fine there and doesn't cost $12 a bottle!)

Excellent Food but Noisy
Food was excellent. Service was superb. But the Noise level made conversation very difficult. If you want quieter ask for an outside table next to the gas heaters.
Superior food, service and ambiance for our 43rd wedding anniversary. If you like good food, and Italian cuisine, this is your
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and I can't think of a finer local restaurant in which to have our celebration. We are lovers of Italian food, and Carmine's has among the best. The calamari appetizer was the best I've had in my nearly half-century of eating it. Thus was the only time calamari was not served rbbery or tough, but rather was soft, tender and beautifully done. The veal scallopini and canelloni were excellent. The tiramisu and spumoni were also top notch with small, sweet cherries on the side of the spunoni. Our server, Matthew, was extremely professional, friendly, and proud of his team's work. We can't recommend it highly enough.
food ok but quite overprice and pretentious
This is a decent Italian restaurant, though the pretentious service and certainly the final check suggests it's something special. It's actually an absolutely regular Italian trattoria in terms of food - which is a welcome thing in Bellevue with its rather dull food scene, and had they sold themselves as such I would have rated it higher - but a top quality Italian restaurant it ain't.
Savory Success: A Culinary Journey for Biz Lunch
This was a ladies business lunch for two. It was a beautiful day with people strolling by the adjacent park. Most diners opted for outside dining beneath the pergola. We were seated inside in the great room, where it was less busy, so we could enjoy a conversation. Warm, crusty bread was quickly set on the table as we read the menu. So many tasty options, it was difficult to decide on the dish. She opted for a Caesar salad and cannelloni with ricotta and spinach. I opted for pasta with vodka sauce and handmade fennel sausage. The sauces were rich, savory, and had wonderful flavors & textures. Absolutely delicious. Portions were generous. A perfect business lunch. We will visit again.
Like dining while the plane is taking off.
Had not been for a few years as the last visit was just OK, but our good neighbor picked for a night out together. First impression on a Tuesday night-super busy at 6 PM. This restaurant and the general area was hopping! Second impression was that the pandemic is totally over. The tables are tight and the whole area set up for maximum guests. Our waiter even requested we move our table from the original setup so staff could have a passage to get around. Third, other reviewers comments about the noise do not do it justice. Felt like 90dB. I never get headaches, but by the end of the evening had a low grade throbbing and could not wait to leave let alone consider dessert. We were at a square table for 4. Could not hear my wife to the right (think about when you hear about every 3rd word and have to guess to fill in the rest of the sentence.) Guest to the right wanted to wear a mask, but in order to be understood this was impossible and I had to lean to within about 20 inches away to have a conversation. Forget about hearing anything from the person across from me. If you wish to have conversation you are much better with the outdoor seating option, though people have to walk past you to get to the entrance/exit door. Service was efficient, but perfunctory. Food was average (below for my wife). Perhaps we were jaded by eating in Turin last fall. Calamari came out almost instantly, hot and crisp- My wife thought batter was a bit hard (she prefers the same dish at Daniel's broiler). Osso Bucco ($57) was surprisingly dry. Wife felt the flavor was lacking. More tomato notes than wine braising that she was expecting. I tried some of the marrow which had a somewhat off putting staleness. My risotto with crab and mushroom was not artful-a bit of a glob on the plate. The mushroom flavors were prominent, but other than detecting the texture of crab it did not lend any flavor to the dish. If you wish for a beer it only comes from a bottle or can. Pandemic has seen a dramatic increase in restaurant pricing with smaller portions and lesser quality regionwide. So per couple in the end about $270 for 2 Osso Bucco, pesto and risotto and a calamari appatizer. No drinks, dessert or other extras. Though I always tip at the 20% level, I do appreciate that Carmine's does not do the "20% mandatory added service fee-please feel free to tip more to your server, and by the way we need to add on sales tax to that" that seems to be so pervasive now.
Crab Mac and Cheese!!! Yes yes YES
Came here for a friend's birthday lunch. The food was delicious. I had the crab mac & cheese, which I would recommend anytime. It was rich and creamy. Others in our group had the halibut which was also good. The waiter was very good, but clearly had too many tables. Not his fault. He was wonderful. We share desserts...all good but none excellent.
I went with a friend and had a reservation.
My dietary restrictions were accommodated as a vegetarian.I started off with a salad and my friend had a cauliflower soup. I ordered Venison Ravioli which was potatoes with tomato sauce. For dessert we had tiramisu and the coffee flavor was strong. There are multiple parking garages around the restaurant and a waterfall park in front of the restaurant.Reasons for Rating:+1 Excellent location and parking+1 Food taste really good+1 Customer service+1 Interior/atmosphere+1 Would return/recommend others
Carmines is a beautiful experience from beginning to end.
The service is incredible. We make this a regular stop, and it feels like you're family when you visit. The ambiance is beautiful and also social. The food is addictive. It's a stop I make every trip to Bellevue!
First things first, we came on Tuesday night for a birthday
First things first, we came on Tuesday night for a birthday celebration, there was about 14 of us. They had us outside where it was absolutely freezing only one of the heated lamps was working, they took forever to come fix the second one.. I wouldn't say the service was horrible, it was mediocre. The waiter later on did catch a attitude because we asked to split the bill. He said he was unable to do that, even though I work as a server myself. I know it's possible. I asked him for a box for my food & he completely ignored my request. Now for the food, it wasn't as good as it should be considering the pricing. Literally everyone at my table disliked what they ordered. Some of us even sent our food back & requested something else. We ordered probably about 15 minutes after being sat & didn't get out entree until about 2 hours later, as I said before I work in the restaurant industry so I know how things may be, I tried to be patient. But it was horrible. Super disappointing because I was excited to try something new but the experience overall sucked. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

yesterday my friends and i dined here for one of their birthdays. i have never had such bad service like we did yesterday. i don't know if it's because we were all "young". mind you most of us were over 21 & all work in a fine dining restaurant as well. our server never even stated his name. he was rude & just didn't really care to serve us. it was never stated to us when we made the reservation that we'd all have to figure out what are totals were per person as they "can't split the check".several of us had to return our food because it just wasn't what we expected. you'd think that for $69 a plate our food would have been made right. overall our experience was horrible and it definitely ruined the birthday girls night. also when we spoke to the manager, she was rude and kept rolling her eyes. we definitely will never be back.
Delicious rack of lamb!Wonderful service.
Good wine choices and friendly atmosphere.

Carmine is our typical go to for Italian on the east side
Carmine is our typical go to for Italian on the east side and we (used to) always loveddddd their gnocchi, but this time we ordered it to share with friends visiting from out of country and first time the order came the order was super salty, when the second time it came they were half frozen sad to see a staple going down hill. Hopefully next time will be better
One of my best dining experiences in my life.
The service is impeccable and food is amazing as well. My favorite spot for a special occasion dinner.
