My Personal Opinion
Don't live up to the expectation of a fine dining restaurant. The ambience was not well maintained and not sure why they play Mandopop song as their in-house music. Food is ok but nothing special. Food serving was so slow even the place was not fully booked at the open dining area ( only 5 tables are filled on a Sunday lunch time ). The only plus point are the service crew, they are friendly and know the menu well.

This was a total disappointment. We went for a New Years Eve dinner and one course was decent, the others varied from poor to inedible. We left before dessert. The ingredients seemed to be of low quality and the preparation was poor. The final straw was “wagyu” beef that was just cuts of fat cooked or blow torched on the outside and raw on the inside. Having eaten all over the world in everything from the highest end fine dining to market stalls can say confidently this was one of the worst meals I have ever had.

The food is amazing! The truffle xiao long bao was so good we had to order another round immediately. The Cod was excellent! Great flavors and infusion. A unique experience. The service was great, reservations were accommodated promptly. The ambiance is nice, cozy and fancy. A great choice for fine dining.

Had high hopes but overall food was average for the price (except the bread and mushroom soup quite nice)Had to say that service and attitude of the waiters (except the lady waitress)left much to be desired. All diners on the table felt the same so guess I am not bias

Our party of 4 attended the 8pm light show at the esplanade at Marina Bay Sands Hotel and then we wanted to eat dinner. We lucked into an empty table at this French Asian restaurant. It is a pricey restaurant but the food was good. One of our party had the lobster pasta and really enjoyed it. 2 shared a good salad….sometimes you just crave salad in Asia…..and the other mains were good as well.

The food was exceptional but the service was so poor it let tithe whole experience down. We waited over an hour between courses and had to ask twice where our next course was. The food was then delivered in rapid succession to clear the dining room. We were provided a complimentary wine as compensation for the wait but this was small compensation for the poor dining experience. Waitstaff were ironing tablecloths around us and emptying bins. An angered diner had an outburst beside our table refusing to pay yet no attempt was made to move him away. All in all the exceptional food cannot compensate for the poor service. The background music was too loud and not in character with a fine dining establishment. With so many restaurants nearby I would seriously consider the other establishments. The meal was expensive and at that price point my expectations for service are somewhat higher. All in all the most disappointing dining experience we had during our trip to Singapore.
Be the first to ReplyMy Last Visit - TERRIBLE
This was not my 1st but definitely my last visit to Chinoiserie. Their kitchen management & food quality are miles away frm other restaurants within MBS (spago, lavo, koma, wakuda, motts 32, waku ghin, db bistro etc etc). The waiting time in between every course was terrible! In fact, all the dinners were waiting together! A table ended up walking off without paying & yelled at one of the waiter for poor & rude service. I can see some tables were so frustrated too with the wait! A shared kitchen management between chinoiserie & flavour of asia is a very bad idea!! It affected your good quality, kitchen delivery efficiency & services & overall enjoyment by your dinners!

Have had a great and wonderful dinner with friends at the restaurant. We enjoyed our night gathering with amazing and delicious food plus superb service provided. I would like to take this opportunity to specially thank Chin Fei for all the arrangement. Great hospitality from the whole team too. You all made our day. Thank you very much!

Excellent customer service and food. Staff was proactive to ask if we would like to have coffee. We didn't know it was on the house. Thank you.

Most of the MBS restaurants are full on a weekday evening and this one by celebrity chef justin quek wasn’t. I entered tentatively and waited a while for the front desk staff to appear The menu is mostly western. We started with the oysters (large and good) and xiaolongbao (good). For mains, we had the cod, lobster pasta, chicken and tenderloin, which were all very good Service was pleasant Better than i imagined
Be the first to ReplyHorrible food, over priced and dirty restrooms.
The food was below average and definitely not worth the money. It was our last night in Singapore and we wanted to have a beautiful meal which was a huge disappointment. Ladies restroom was nasty so can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like. Singapore is know for being clean and everything was but this place. Too many restaurants to choose from and would never recommend this one!!

Wonderful experience and great food. The service is very good. The children’s menu is lacking is this normal not much choices for children other than that it’s good
Be the first to Replychili and gralic lobster worth the wait
bread was warm and delicious, the baguette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the cheese bun was also nicely baked with just the right amount of cheese melted without overpowering the flavor of the bun. the truffle butter was a bit crumbly and don't spread well, it ooze nicely when slightly melted so give ti some rest time before digging in. chicken was well cooked, not too greasy nor too dry. but the highlight was definitely the Maine lobster cooked with garlic and chili. the chili was not so spicy that it killed off all other flavors. the garlic was crunchy brought out the full flavor of the crustacean which was fried with a thin outer layer of crispiness soaked with all the herbs and spices... the entire lobster was covered with the garlic and that topping itself is great with bread... wanted to bring the rest home and not waste it.

Terribly disappointed with the food. Went for the recommended set menu at $138++ per pax, main course was served cold, had to ask for a change which the restaurant did. But the dishes weren’t impressive.

As a vegetarian … Was not sure of what to expect but turned out to be excellent food and great service. Mushroom cappuccino soup was delicious.
Be the first to Replyaverage food and service
i wouldn't say the food is bad.. it is nice, but i am expecting it to be awesome from Justin Quek.
Also, as a high end restaurant, i would expect better service but what we have is a run-on-mill service.
if i were to spend the same amount of money, i would rather go back to mott32 or summer pavilion or cassia
p/s: no one checked my vaccination status
Good overall experience
The service was good, especially from justin. Food was well proportioned and tasteful. Will recommend to orhers

We went for a birthday celebration and I mentioned it in the notes on the online booking. When we arrived, i told the hostess who brought us to our table to serve us a slice of cake with a candle at the end of our meal (it’s supposed to be a surprise). At the end of our meal, the waiter in charge of our table asked if we wanted desserts and I discretely told him that I had made arrangements with his colleague. He couldn’t figure out who and came back and asked me and I had to point out his colleague to him.
At a fine dining restaurant, I would expect that the waiters would have been briefed about the table they’re serving and that the staff have better communication between themselves. The restaurant wasn’t even busy.
In addition, there was a waitress in charge of refilling our water who kept emptying the bottles into our glasses. It was unnecessary because our glasses were more than 2/3 full. She kept pouring even though the glasses were relatively full. She would open another bottle of water without consulting us and leave it at the side. We did try to finish our water at the end but we ended up barely touching the last bottle. It was simply wasteful.
The food was average. Not bad, not spectacular.
The ambience was nice and quiet.
Love The Pasta
The Marco Polo pasta was good, and the XO sauce gave it a nice smoky essence without being overly spicy. The prawns were fresh, if a tad small. The seared tuna starter was also fresh, with a nice char. The accompanying salad was light and fresh.
Dessert was so so, and the banana ice cream was slightly odd in taste, as in overripe banana. The earl grey was much better, though was out of balance tastewise with the banana.
Service was okay, though it was surprisingly noisy, with orders and cooking noises coming from the kitchen area. It was not totally befitting a high-end restaurant.
Highly recommended
We ordered set dinner. Can feel the Chef has instilled meticulous attitude and perfectionism in his work. Our feedback has been responded quickly and decently. Kudos to the Chef!

A nice experience , reminiscent of dining in a Nice Parisian Restaurent with Excellent service, well versed staff and intriguing cuisine as the name indicates. A worthwhile Saturday evening experience , great value for money comparing the competition.

Had the prawn noodle. It’s very salty, not flavorful, definitely over-rated. Tried their satay too. Meat is tough and not nice.
The prawn noodle is nice.
Staff not particularly friendly
