Corto Jersey City Reviews from The Last Year
I have been dying to go to Corto for as long as I could
I have been dying to go to Corto for as long as I could remember. I finally got the opportunity to go for the first time for an early dinner last Saturday with one of my friends. Although the menu is on the smaller end, there were many options to choose from. Our waiter was exceptional, very knowledgeable and let us know that some menu items change seasonally. We sat in the heated patio which surprisingly got very loud when dinner ramped up. My friend and I tried two appetizers, two pastas and shared a main and dessert. The basil and mint on the spicy rigatoni was refreshing. Our favorite for the table was the mezzeluna pasta. I think we'll be back in 2-3 months to see how the menu has changed and maybe order one of each pasta!

One of my favorite spots in Jersey City! Definitely a good idea to get a reservation, especially on a weekend. Love that the menu changes to have different seasonal and local ingredients, there's something new to try every time I go. Our party of three this weekend ordered a salad, the ricotta and honey toast, and the salumi to share; a pasta each; and a dessert to share, and we left feeling like it was the perfect amount of food. We were sat on the patio which is great year-round - I've sat out there in the dead of winter and it was perfectly cozy and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, plus it's BYOB!

We made a reservation for the heated outdoor area on a rainy weekday night. It was absolutely pouring, which created a cool ambiance while we kept completely warm and dry. Our server knew the menu extremely well and pointed out exactly what I could eat and substitute as a vegetarian. The pasta was served steaming hot--delicious.
Incredible service.
Definite family oriented place with seemingly simple but sophisticated food options. Delicious.

The only issue with this perfect lunch at Corto was that we chose not to bring in a bottle of wine because it felt too early on this particular Saturday. (It was noon.) The service was perfect and our server was especially helpful as our party of 4 shared 2 appetizers, 3 pastas and 1 main dish. It was breathtakingly tasty. The venue itself is lovely and only added to a great meal.
Corto's been my spot since 2019 and I don't see that
Corto's been my spot since 2019 and I don't see that changing anytime soon. If you're expecting a super American, chicken parm type of place, Corto is not that (but you will be pleasantly surprised!). Some of the best Italian food I've had was in Rome and this place is the only one in the area that can compare. The menu is small but mighty and there's more than enough for a nice date night or a dinner out with friends. It's byob so bring nothing or everything. Don't skip the ricotta toast and make sure to try whatever specials they have that day, always worth it. The outdoor patio is all-season and warm so you'll always feel good there. The service has always been outstanding and I always can't wait to go back!
Everything is so good and fresh.
Woman run kitchen love to see it.. Best pastry chef in America. Great food great service:
Cute little hidden gem.
Very small place, will need reservations to get seated on most days. Great service . BYOB Started with ricotta honey 4.5/5 - the bread was fresh. Ricotta and honey very mild, paired well with Fusilli - 5/5 mild unique flavor. Ravioli with beets- 5/5 small portion, absolutely delicious would recommend Rigatoni- 2/5 bland, didn't taste like anything. Would not recommend Olive oil cake- very mild, not too sweet. A little dry- seemed like it had been sitting outside as the edges were dry. Overall would recommend this place as the server mentioned they change their menus seasonally.

You walk into smiles and greetings and an interesting view of the kitchen. Something different with a pretty good vibe. Food: family style since we were a larger group. Appys: a nice selection of cheese, a zesty Apple chutney and the most delicious butter. We had 3 different types of pasta. One more delish than the other. Our entree: Angry chicken. Super tender with a great taste The cod (I'm personally not a fan of cod) but I tasted it and enjoyed it. Crispy and well seasoned. Ana out server was on point and enjoyed how they described each dish. Will def be back. Wish I had taken pictures.
Best Italian Food Outside of Italy.
We sat in the sort-of-outdoor area in the back - curtains and space heaters. It was _cold_, guesstimate it was 50-55 F. We all kept our winter coats on. The food is unbelievably good. Go with 6 people and just order everything on the small menu which changes monthly. Honest-to-goodness Italian home cooking - fresh, local, every dish unique.
Amazing Food, Service and Ambiance.
Creative Menu and Consistent Quality! I absolutely love Corto and recommend to everyone!
Your Italian Neighbor's Patio (but the food is even better)
Corto is a hidden gem. There's nothing in the neighborhood suggesting such good food is here. There's nothing about the storefront that suggests such good food is here. But here it is. The staff make a big deal about "family style dining" in which everyone shares all the dishes, but we do that anyway. And it's absolutely the best way to eat at Corto because everything is delicious and you'll want to eat some (more!) of everything. The menu changes constantly, so you can count on fresh ingredients and fresh enthusiasm in the kitchen. The ambiance is very casual, but it's not noisy. My preference is to try to get a table inside unless the weather is really nice because dining outside can be either chilly (any season other than summer) or sticky (summer); after all, it's Jersey City.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
