Cool vibes and good customer service! I like the concept of having a coffee shop/ vinyl store. There isn't too much seating but it's a cool place to browse through what they have. I had their lavender matcha latte, it was really good. Some people are heavy handed with lavender but they added the perfect amount.

A record shop-vegan combo may seem like the most "Los Angeles" thing to ever exist, but when you've got a great owner (Oren) and great employees (Meadow, etc.) it makes the place feel just like home. Their selection is awesome and always fairly priced. There's a cute seating area tucked in the back where you sip on some coffee and work. All around, just a great atmosphere. Of all the record stores I have visited in L.A., this one is probably the most welcoming one.

of all the record stores i've been to, this is by far the best. they had a solid selection and great vibes, not to mention the best lavender matcha latte i've had in a minute. definitely swing by for all your coffee/record needs.

So, Mariah Carey had a signed autograph saying this is "the best coffee in LA", I love her (that's why I came to try it), but I disagree with her judgment on this. I ordered Mocha with oat milk and I think it's very underwhelming.. tasted like watered down milk with a touch / hint of chocolate. I mean, I should've tried another drink but I doubt Mariah Carey goes around LA to coffee bar hop like regular folks like myself. Most times, I've decided whether the coffee spot is good or not by how they serve their mocha. The coffee shop has food and also sell vinyl records which I think is cool. I might give it another chance in the future however 3 stars on this visit.

Was just stopping by a few record shops and stumbled upon this absolute wonder of a store. I in all my years have never seen anything like it!! Vegan food out the wazoo AND amazing record selection what a score. Didn't come in with the intention of getting anything to eat or drink but I ended up getting some sort of mushroom drink (I can't remember) and the tomato cheese danish ! Phenomenal these baristas know their stuff!! Went home with 3 new records and my new favorite spot to hang out at!!

My favorite coffee shop in LA - no idea why anyone would go across the street to Starbucks!! Amazing coffee, friendly staff, and a cute seating area with great AC, perfect for hanging out or getting work done on hot summer days. I try not to look at the records too often, because when I do I always end up buying something from their eclectic and diverse selection. Always a necessary stop when I'm in echo park!

WOW. I am utterly gobsmacked. Upon arriving, I was already expecting good vibes, however the gorgeous atmosphere and the excellent customer service elated my entire physical and mental being. I ordered the Lavender Matcha Latte and all I have to say is ORDER IT. The taste was exquisite, each sip allowed the liquids to surge throughout your body, quenching all insufficiencies. I would love to go back and relive this amazing experience again!

A true blue neighborhood spot with amazing coffee and treats, a warm and welcoming vibe, a great vintage vinyl /cassette / audio equipment selection, and a sweet cozy nook in the back to hang out and work. Cosmic Vinyl is the best!!!!
Be the first to ReplyStore owner definitely seems like he owns this shop, I will
Store owner definitely seems like he owns this shop, I will say that. Far too patronizing to justify the worth of gentrification, lack of substance, and undeserved pretentiousness. Makes sense with the employees he hires who will probably continue to talk mess loudly and proudly about customers and their edgy manic pixie dream girl lives. Didn't want anyone in trouble for a silly undeserved review considering I'm amicable with record store owners that actually know how to organize and manage their stores. Not saying people who work at shops shouldn't have leeway, but common sense dictates you don't loudly talk about "sh*tty drummers" and customers who were just there in front of customers that are right here, Oren. General politeness aside, the collection was lacking and unorganized. Even if other customers were moving vinyl to other sections, it does not warrant an entire rows having only 9-20 vinyl to flip through or rows with 10+ genre cards with zero vinyl genres in between. Consolidation when you don't have product doesn't have to be done everyday. I don't have the patience, meticulousness and knowledge on records so that's why I don't choose to own a record shop. What I do know is, If you go a week looking barren and unkept at any store, it's not a good look, Oren. This establishment: -lacks tact and substance-is a specific type of gentrified tackiness that fits in with the rest of the face value shops on the street-should just be called Cosmic Cafe instead raising hopes by featuring vinyl as the saving grace. I didn't have a latte but I'm sure it was better than the selection. At least the other pretentious record shops nearby have the sense to organize their items, be polite and at least rudely respond through a DM or simply not at all. So I'll be taking my pity star back and give it the rating you deserve for your management, Oren.

The concept of this place is great - a coffee and record store with a vintage ambiance. We got an oat milk latte that lacked flavor, mostly tasted like steamed milk. And the record collection was all very obscure artists and genres, besides the typical pop/rock section in most vinyl stores. No Latin section :(Overall, we left a little disappointed because there was so much potential.Might be a good place to pop in and see if the record curation is your style.

I'm torn! ย Super cute concept with the vinyl records and the cafe together. ย As a coffee shop to just hang out/do work, it's amazing. ย Ample outlets to plug in your laptop and comfortable seating inside. ย Has outside seating as well. ย Food/drinks massively overpriced. ย I was not impressed with the iced lavender matcha. ย ย As to the vinyl/cassette section, I can't say much since that's not my thing. ย Boyfriend expressed his disappointment at the lack of international records as compared to Amoeba Music, the holy grail of a record store. ย ย A for ambiance. ย C for food. ย Free wifi. ย Parking is street only.

This place is a super cute coffee shop/ vinyl record shop in the middle of Sunset. The pastries are all vegan AND I LIVE FOR THIS. The best decision they could've made was to have pastries from the Good Good Bakery. Their croissants are incredible and I could never get tired of them. The barista was super sweet and I'll definitely be back for a coffee and some jams. Street parking is available, but depending on your time- it could be a hit or miss. It's also a good area to just walk around.

A bit pricey, but the quality is there! They have an amazing selection of all things vegan, even some excellent donuts! And while you're waiting for the drink, it's so much fun to record shop. Definitely a hidden gem!

Oren was really kind and lent out a preamp to me to test out in my new setup. He then sold it to me the next day at a very generous price. My setup sounds amazing now thanks to him! This spot is such a gem. I have been in a few times for coffee and records and always have had great conversations with the staff. You should definitely stop in to check out the great selection of vinyl and grab a delicious coffee / vegan treat.
