Lovely place to eat. Such a wonderful meal at a splendid restaurant. The food is not only delicious but also well presented. Magical experience here.

Be the first to ReplyFantastic upscale dining
Fantastic upscale dining. Really like the short rib, chicken, cannelloni, scallops and turbot. The wine selection was excellent too. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing.

Perfect example of a upscale, Michelin-starred restaurant worth paying for. Innovative, unfussy cuisine, exceptional service, and great presentation. Really worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyJust go and you will be blown away!
The town hall hotel is a stunning spot, dropped by the bar for an aperitif and the welcome was warm and cozy, friendly but not overbearing. Upon entering Da Terra Canapes flew out and bombarded you with intense deep flavours that made you really sit back and think about life. The new quail dish (3 months in the making) was exquisite served in four different ways. blown away and don't even get me started on the sourdough bread The olive oil "butter" no dairy showed technical precision and used in conjunction with the bone marrow was a cheat code. The signature moqueqa ticked all the boxes and I loved the additional Brazilian chilli. The pork main left me speechless, the endive playing a huge role in that. Romeo & Juliette.... might be the best balanced dish on the planet. Pure genius as was the next dessert, never would you think pistachio and caviar on the same plate, but here you are sweet and salty in perfect harmony. The pineapple dessert also hit the spot, with a great pairing- S Africa chenin blanc sweet wine. Sets a high benchmark, spectacular and elegant service. 3* in my personal opinion sits just around the corner with a bit of luck. Thank you
Be the first to ReplyThe fine journey through chef Rafaelโs experience.
Da Terra Itโs been a while since Iโve been to a Michelin stared restaurant, Iโve steered myself away from fine dining scene but Da Terra has definitely put fine dining experience on back on the map for me. It all started with the warm family welcome from the entire team, Iโm not talking hugs and kisses from every individual staff but its the smile of confidence, the eye contacts and the relaxed shoulders. Something you rarely see in places like these. You can tell that the team have created a sense of family environment and you are in for a treat! We booked in for a lunch tasting menu, there is no physical menu given out because itโs done in a blind tasting menu full of culinary surprises. The journey through chef Rafael Cagaliโs heritage and culinary experience begins with 2 surprise bites. To be followed by the 5 course lunch tasting menu. Iโd highly recommend the wine pairing with the dishes because it elevates the journey to another level of elegance. Their in house sommelier, Maria, is full of wine knowledge and is eager to share that with you through the journey. It was a very though decision to choose a favourite out of the entire menu, especially between the humble chicken and the Moqueca (traditional Brazilian fish stew) with aged Turbot. The humble chicken took the win for me because of itโs interactive, fun and eating with your hands kind of dish. The dish also has zero waste because they have used every part of the chicken in all components to the dish. The other star of the show, I must say, is the pineapple dessert! The combination between the light and airy coconut parfait, fermented pineapple juice and lemon verbena ties so well together as a finishing dish. It is fresh, cold and full of tropical flavour notes. As I have mentioned that this was by far the best fine dining experience yet for me. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to experience what Da Terra has to offer with its unique take on the style of service and the relaxed family style atmosphere. I can guarantee that you will being leaving Da Terra more than satisfied, full of memorable moments.
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable, Creative, First-Class Experience
My best friend and I booked a 40th birthday dinner at Da Terra and the entire night was indescribable! The food was first-class, creative, and visually stunning. Every bite offered layers upon layers of flavor. Candidly, I have no clue what we ate and what was on the tasting menu because we were living in the moment and savoring every second of the experienceโฆall I know is that everything we ate was perfection! The service was exceptional and Chef Rafael himself even served us a few dishes โ we were starstruck! The tasting menu is worth every penny...go for it and treat yourself! Chef Rafaelโฆ. Thank you for an unforgettable night!
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, mixed views on the food
I visited for dinner on a Friday night. The venue is split into two sections. The front room faces into the open kitchen and this is clearly the place to be. The back room may still offer a partial kitchen view depending where you are seated, albeit youโre a bit too far back to really appreciate it. Views aside itโs a nice enough venue and it was nice to see theyโve tried to keep things relatively informal. Only one tasting menu is on offer, priced at ยฃ225 per head. Interestingly, apart from the usual wine pairing (ยฃ150), they did also offer a non-alcoholic pairing (ยฃ95), as well as a half and half option (ยฃ125). Our meal started off strongly. The carabineros as well as the โhumble chickenโ were both stand out courses which were excellently prepared. However, I didnโt enjoy the second half of the meal as much. Donโt get me wrong, it wasnโt bad, but it just didnโt deliver the standard I would have expected from a 2-star venue. Dishes were all beautifully presented, but I wasnโt convinced by some of the flavour combinations, for example in the moqueca dish. I donโt eat pork, and the one pork dish was substituted with a seafood dish, meaning there was no red meat included throughout my meal, which was a bit disappointing given the Brazilian influenced menu. I also thought the desserts were a bit too adventurous, with two savoury/sweet combos followed by a pineapple based dish. Something more typical (e.g. chocolate based) would have been more enjoyable, but perhaps is just down to personal preference. Service was excellent. Staff were quite friendly and they created a relaxed atmosphere. I liked how different chefs would come out to present individual dishes. The meal progressed at a decent pace and we were done in around 2.5 hours. The bill for 2 people including a wine pairing came to ยฃ900. Overall, although the service was good and there were enjoyable components of the menu, it felt a bit inconsistent and I came away slightly underwhelmed, especially considering the price point which is definitely at the upper end of the range for fine dining in London. Having tried most of the 2/3 star restaurants in town, this unfortunately wouldnโt rank as one of my favourites.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent, technical food with plenty of originality
A couple of canapรฉs kicked the meal off to a great start. An amuse-bouche of prawn, vodka and tomato was so tasty and warm. The rich shellfish flavour of the prawn married perfectly with the tangy and strong flavours of the tomato and alcohol. It was also served in one of the coolest bowls I have seen. A delicate and vibrant dish of hamachi with a pea dashi followed. The next dish was named 'Humble Chicken'. This was just great; so rich, so satisfying and above all so delicious. The bread and butter was very nice but I didn't like the bone marrow spread beside it as it was far too rich and had very little flavour. The texture reminded me of hardened fat. Next, I had a sophisticated version of Moqueca, a Brazilian fish stew. The aged turbot was good but slightly too chewy for me. The sauce was packed with all the flavours of the seafood. It had a good spicy kick too. The main meat dish was pork with morels and endive. It was tender and had a good meat-to-fat ratio. The morel added plenty of flavour. The refreshing and subtly sweet bitterness of the endive balanced the dish. A cheese course named 'Romeo & Juliette' came next. It came in the form of a smooth and sweet cheese which had set to form a small cylinder, topped with a delicate guava gel. This was one of the best cheese courses I have eaten. It could have easily been eaten as a dessert. The first dessert was a Baba, which was served with pistachio ice cream and caviar. Unfortunately, this dessert wasn't the one for me. The liquor was too bitter and the caviar added an overly salty flavour. The flavours were rather unusual. There wasn't enough sweetness. The main dessert of pineapple and coconut, on the other hand, was gorgeous. The coconut parfait was cool and had a great consistency. The pineapple added a refreshing element. It was just the sort of dessert you want in the summer! It was also highly different from many of the desserts I have tasted over time and really had some originality. Some petit fours, including a super boozy liquor candy that looked like a gummy completed the meal. Generally, the food was brilliant. The Brazilian elements really differentiated it from your typical European cuisine, which made it all the more fun to eat. But I do think that ยฃ215 is slightly overpriced and I was expecting a little more from a restaurant that had recently been given 3rd place in the National Restaurant Awards. But I will come back!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food, incredible service
Had a wonderful evening here. Da Terra is a tasting menu concept - each dish was beautifully prepared and also explained by the team. Yes, itโs pricey (especially with the wine pairing) but definitely worth it for a special occasion . Rafael Cagali had his team have developed a wonderful restaurant and itโs great that Rafael himself comes round the tables to explain the menu and chat to diners . Highly recommend

My friend and I booked Da Terra after scouring the web to choose a Michelin star restaurant. I am so glad we picked Da Terra. The food and wine flight were amazing and it was the relaxed but efficient service that struck me. We both felt at ease and really relaxed when other Michelin restaurants can give off an air and pomp and grandeur. Definitely worth every penny.
Be the first to ReplyThank-you Team Da Terra!! Exceptional; Well Worth A Special Journey
Yet again, Chef Rafael Cagali and his superb team at Da Terra have excelled and exceeded all expectations for a well crafted, unique, and flavorful meal. I was so impressed with the quality of the meal I had 18 months ago that I brought a friend to share in the experience on this trip to London. And while we also visited two 3* restaurants on this trip, we both agree, Da Terra was the best all-around meal and foodie experience. Chef Rafaelโs personal attention to detail and passion for the food were evident in his frequent stops at our table to introduce a particular course and the quality of the food itself. I definitely will plan a return visit the next time Iโm in London and look forward to the day Team Da Terra earns their 3rd Michelin Starโthey and the food experience they create are worth it!!!
Be the first to ReplyTHE BEST
My partner and I came here for the first time to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and I was surprised at how low-key and relaxed the atmosphere was, which to me is a good thing! The service was truly impeccable and always friendly and warm. The decor appeared classy and minimalistic but look closely and you will see the incredible attention to detail. And the food, oh, the food. It was far and beyond better than what I expected. The chef definitely tells a story with each course and everything was very unique. Truly one of the best meals I've had. Absolutely phenomenal and worthy of its Michelin status. Chef Rafael Cagali deserves it all!

My wife and i are very lucky in that we visit a good many michelin star restaurants but we were not prepared for what Rafael had to offerโฆ.. I didnโt know if i should write a long review filled with all the incredible highs of our evening or leave it short as, i am still quite speechless and wouldnโt want to spoil anyoneโs visit by giving anything away. Hands down this is the finest restaurant I have even been to. Amazing evening thank you very much
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding
We had the evening tasting menu. Everything was perfect: excellent food & wine, very nice & attentive staff, beautiful place & table setting. Compared to other Michelin Star Restaurants we have been to, Da Terra feels more relaxed and genuinely friendly. Even Rafael himself spends a meaningful amount interacting with his guests and explaining some of the dishes.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing attention to detail and top quality food.
Such a great experience at Da Terra. The quality of the food and presentation was first class. The staff were fantastic and knowledgable. Head chef is such a humble gentleman who takes pride in his restaurant. Three Michelin stars on the horizon..
Be the first to Replyร fantastic culinary experience again and much more
We went back there for our second dinner in this restaurant and we loved everything even more than the first time. The creativity of the chef, the recipes and the preparation of each dish are second to none. In addition to a perfect service we enjoyed very much the opportunities to talk to the chef when he brought himself dishes to the table. This was an extraordinary experience again.
Be the first to ReplyImpeccable Dining Experience
Weโve been coming to Da Terra since they opened and have seen them grow in to a fantastic two michelin star restaurant. The food , wine and service has always been exceptional. This continued today with yet another amazing visit as once again the creativity from the kitchen of developing new dishes and the constant willingness to improve the quality of those that have been on the menu from the beginning. Our visit started with the usual warm welcome on arrival before we entered the restaurant. Here we were to be greeted by manager Charlie , sommelier Maria , head chef Mark where after a brief chat we then headed to our customary table 10. Once settled it was then nice of chef / owner Rafael to come over and say hello. This was followed by a nice surprise as we were treated to a complimentary glass of bubbles of our choice from Mariaโs new champagne trolley. Next was to decide on our menu choice. We opted for the full tasting menu and for the first time I chose to have the wine pairings whereas my wife only wanted to go for wines by the glass. We started precedingโs with the Caipirinha a take on a Brazilian cocktail. This was followed with a fabulous selection of snacks including a Duck Caesar , Stout Cup and Scallop along with the Mushroom and Taleggio Doughnut. Now it was time for the first course and what an incredible way to begin. The new Carabineros with datterini , palm heart and tomato vodka was absolutely mind blowing. This was paired beautifully by a Symington Family Estate Quinta de Fonte Souto 2020 from Portugal. Next to arrive was The Humble Chicken where the style of the dish had changed once more only to produce another stunning result. The wings , foot , yolk , white beetroot , tucupi and white truffle was a sensational burst of flavour on the palate. This version we both thought was the best to date. The dish was complimented superbly with a fantastic Negotians Vinarius Posip Tardiff 2020 orange wine from Croatia. Next to arrive was the Sourdough with bone marrow , cultured butter , gonneli 1585 olive oil. This dish has also been redeveloped to include a bone marrow spread and two slices of charcuterie. The pairing for the bread was a local dark mild from the local Boxcar brewery. This led us to the classic Moqueca a brazilian fish stew of aged turbot , manteiguinha beans and farofa. The few little tweaks made in the kitchen elevated this classic dish to an even higher level. The wine selection came from Mariaโs home country of Greece. A fabulous Estate Argyros Cuvee Monsignori 2019 was an absolute treat. Our next course was the Cannelloni of courgette , houghton springs farm trout and chervil along with trout charcuterie. The wine pairing for this course was a Chateau Montus Blanc 2014. Now it was time for the main course and what a lovely surprise we were about to receive. We were honoured to be given the opportunity to try the new Pork Loin dish with cassava , sausage , morel and chimichurri. Well be could both honestly say it was amazing and I hope everyone gets to enjoy it soon. This was matched by an incredible Shafer 2018 red wine from the Napa Valley in California. Full of red and black berry flavours but not high in tannins made it an absolute dream. Next to come was the Romeo and Juliette a delightful cheese course featuring a goatโ cheese and a guava gel. This was nicely paired with a 30 year old Apostles sherry from Gonzales Byass. This brought us to the Baba with cachaca , pistachio and N25 reserve caviar. Now it was time to finish this fabulous menu with dessert. The Pineapple with coconut , fermented pineapple juice and verbena was a perfect way to end. The pairing was a sweet wine sent from the gods. The Umathum Beerenslause 2019 from Austria with citrus and honey flavours was just the perfect match. We finished with tea and coffee accompanied by a selection of Petit Fours including Cupuaca Cake , balsamic ice cream , macae chocolate and passion fruit and liqueur candy. This brought to end an outstanding dining experience that will be very hard to beat this year. The food was exquisite , the wine pairings were amazing and the service was impeccable. I really would highly recommend a visit here as you will enjoy food that you simply canโt get anywhere else. Thank You Rafael , Charlie , Maria , Mark and all the team for an amazing lunch and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Be the first to ReplyExplosion of flavours
Me and my partner went to DaTerra a few months ago and had a wonderful time. It is a blind tasting menu, so you do not have to order and let the chef make you discover their world. I really enjoyed the non alcoholic pairing. Every course was better than the other with a true explosion of flavors in your mouth and the service was great. I really loved the desert called "romeo and Juliet"

Da Terra is in my neighbourhood and I find myself going back here often. Each and every time, I am amazed at how incredible the food is. When compared to some other 2-star restaurants I've been to in London, the experience feels more deserving of 3 stars. Service is exceptional and they have very kindly catered to my salt intolerance for a couple of months. The only small criticism I have is that they should carry more natural wines in the menu and include a few options in the 'by the glass' list. Apart from that, everything is perfection. Fine dining doesn't get finer than this.
Be the first to ReplyFinest symphony of flavours, texture, color and form. Food & Wine. A must visit!
Yum Yum to this Modern European 2 Michelin Stars food heaven, in London. Rafael, the chef drawn inspiration from his Brazilian and Italian roots to deliver a blind tasting menu (omakase) that paired amazingly with the selection of wines. One food space you cannot ignore. A must visit when u are in London. Go for the pairing, u be thrilled by it. Thankfulasalways โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐ #daterra

It was a pleasure to be back at Da Terra again and have some delightful dishes prepared by Chef Rafael Cagali and his team and served by some wonderful and friendly staff under the watchful eye of charming Charlie. The new decor was very welcoming and I did notice also the change of crockery and cutlery - beautiful!!! The open kitchen also great and I placed my guest to ensure that she had full view of all that was happening in the kitchen. The menu was different to the last time I was there - this time the dishes were based on a Brazilian take and was absolutely delightful and full of surprises. It is quite difficult to choose which dish was the best as each had its own superb and distinct combination of flavours. But I have to admit - the Moqueca dish was simply divine. No wonder Da Terra has earned a second Michelin Star - well deserved indeed!!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent but would have liked a bit more Brazilian influence
We had dinner for two, the long tasting menu, which took around 3+ hours. Everything was impeccable - taste, presentation , service, and engagement of the wait staff. The chef made a point to go to each table during the evening and of course we can see the kitchen at work from the dining area which is always nice. We were perhaps hoping to see more Brazilian influence in the menu but this is a minor comment, as is the fact that several dishes had that umami hit that all top-end restaurants seem to have nowadays. A very pleasant evening, slightly expensive but we are not complaining since it was all very enjoyable.

Canโt leave a review of my experience as Iโve not been able to secure a booking due to my dairy intolerance. Whilst I fully appreciate dishes canโt always be adapted, I would expected a 2 Michelin star restaurant would be more willing and creative in their approach to support vegan or dairy free customer.
Be the first to ReplyHands down one of the best meals I have ever had
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday in March. From start the finish, the meal was incredible along with excellent service. The pacing of the dishes was spot on also. In terms of flavours, we were both blown away by the complexity and ingenuity of the dishes prepared by the chef and his team. I can confidently say that this restaurant sets the benchmark at the moment for the overall experience and value for money.
