We had a private party and the food was delicious.
The service was friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and comfy. The drinks were good. The music selection arranged by the owner herself made everything a pleasurable experience.

Love the vibes here, the restaurant feels so homey and welcoming, and they have a lot of cool art on the walls. Our server/bartender was so friendly and ready with recommendations too. I chose the communal style dining and it was fun getting to know the folks around me. Given the quality of the meal, it was absolutely worth the price. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, dishes were artfully presented, and proportion sizes were good. Enjoyed everything I ate here but the star had to be dessert (that date cake with toffee sauce was amazinggg). Drinks were well crafted too; think I'll try to opt for the wine pairing next time. Would definitely come back!

I went to dinner party twice this month and got to experience 2 different menus and both times they hit it out of the park! As a vegetarian, I am generally a bit wary of pre-fixe menus because they are generally not worth it for me. However, Dinner Party killed it with their vegetarian options! I felt like I was getting the same experience as my friends and the meal was worth every penny. If you haven't been to Dinner Party yet, I highly highly recommend you go!
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best meals I've ever had in my life.
The food, ambiance, and staff are out of this world. You truly get to have the best time because you don't have to make any choices. Their melon gazpacho was the best thing I ate and I'm so sad I will probably never have it again. truly a once in a lifetime meal every time you go. The chef comes out at the end and speaks about the inspiration, process, and meal. Chef's kiss!

i'm obsessed with the whole vibe of this restaurant! you walk in and immediately are greeted with a gorgeous and intimate setting, as well as friendly smiles from the staff. I sat at a communal table with my friend and we shared it with this lovely couple and made some great conversation! sitting for a meal with people you don't know feels like it would be recipe for awkwardness, but if you lay into it you will realize that rarely do you have the opportunity to be in this sort of situation, and even if it is awkward, you are truly livi bc the experience. the food was delicious and creative and highly intuitive and left me feeling inspired in my own kitchen. be ready for a filling meal, made with the freshest ingredients around! couldn't be more obsessed with this restaurant and am so excited to go back to experience the magic again!

Dinner Party is one the best more recent additions to Brooklyn! Their food is always amazing - their menu changes each week (revealed on Mondays). Everything I've had is truly fantastic and has gotten me to try things I usually wouldn't order. Love the team that works there - they are so kind and attentive. The restaurant is so cute too! If you're looking for an elevated though neighborhood feel, Dinner Party should be on your list.

Communal tables ( which is cool) place holds maybe 20 ppl indoors and out. There are no choices. They list online what you'll be served and give you a card when you go to remind you. I'm sure hipsters think it's some type of cool, but with no choices and impossibly small portions I call the place a joke

Menu: French onion, Maitake, and gruyère quiche Little gems, herbs, preserved lemon vinaigrette Butternut squash, cashew ricotta Dill and green garlic pickle Sausage Gingersnap I went to Dinner Party for a birthday brunch and it was fantastic! It's better to arrive close to your reservation time rather than early as theres no room for waiting inside. The ambiance is absolutely homey and makes you feel like you're about to eat a familiar comfort food while still being a new and exciting experience. The details are all very personal with a flowery elegance that adds to your fairytale experience here. The service is excellent and accommodating, they take great care of you and are flexible for any needs you may have. The food is even better! I'm normally not a quiche lover but this was just divine. The excellent textures blended with exquisite flavors was exhilarating. I particularly loved the cashew ricotta- definitely the accidental staple of this meal. This is a great, trendy place to have an aesthetic girls brunch or any other celebratory event!

Came here for a 9PM reservation on a Saturday night with my brother. We were at the communal table which, when I booked, I was pretty nervous about. I imagined the communal table as a larger table with maybe 8 people, but when we arrived it was a small round table with just 4 of us. I was super nervous at first, but it ended up being a lot of fun. I think the people you are seated with really make or break the experience you have there. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible, but if you're seated with people who aren't interested in chit chatting or are just plain nasty, the rest of the experience doesn't really matter and thats a really risky line to tow as a small restaurant in NYC, so I commend Dinner Party for stickin' to their communal guns! Right upon walking in I loved the atmosphere. Even on a cold rainy night, the table next to the front door was just fine (until later ... read till the end!) The decor was so cute and I loved that all of our plates were mismatched. Those little touches really made "Dinner Party" feel like a just that. I loved the intimacy. The service was great in some areas but a little lackluster in others. For starters, our server did not come to our table until after our first course arrived, which meant we hadn't even had a chance to order a drink yet! And then, our drinks didn't end up arriving until after we finished our second course, which was a huge bummer! They have a wine menu, but in small font on the side they say they have cocktails which I didn't catch at first. Our waiter was super kind and very excited to talk about cocktails. I loved his passion and talent! I asked for "something fruity with tequila" and man, this guy delivered! 3 out of the 4 people at our table ordered it as well, and we all loved it. I didn't even intend to get a drink that night ... nevermind two!!! The food was excellent, I loved that they had a vegetarian option for the main entree, and kept all of the appetizers leading up vegetarian as well. It's very inclusive and I'm excited to take my vegetarian boyfriend here. My only other issue besides our waiter taking so long to come to our table at first was that there was a man experiencing homelessness that came into the restaurant and started heckling us for money. Now, I know this Is not the restaurants fault, but I worked in food & bev for several years, and I had been asked many times to go speak to people heckling our tables outside. And this wasn't even outside! This man fully came into the restaurant! And when our entire table told him we didn't have money he got really mad! And not one, but two employees walked past us multiple times during this interaction and did NOTHING! Now, I'm not expecting them to come pick the guy up and carry him out of the restaurant, but how are you going to witness your paying customers being heckled and not at least try to offer some assistance? Interesting! I will definitely be coming back to Dinner Party as the other experiences I had that night outweighed the negatives!

Went to Dinner Party for a walk in event and I can't wait to return! The food was scrumptious, left me savoring every bite, and the wine menu was intentionally curated with sips that got me so excited for summer! I can't wait to come back for dinner with friends and family. This place is one of those special gems in which you can feel the intention and care in every element from the design to the service. sarinathejo@gmail.com sarinathejo@gmail.com NA

Amazing food, amazing vibe, 10/10 experience!!Came here for a friends birthday dinner with 8 people. We were seated inside in the back and the place was so beautifully decorated, with mood lighting and fun art. We started with drinks and I really liked the gin and tonic which had a refreshing cucumber taste. The meal started with a salad that was so vibrant and crunchy and fresh that I finished all of it! We then got the main, a chicken dish, while I got the vegetarian mushroom version with crispy potatoes. I tried the chicken and it was a little lackluster, but the fried mushroom was very flavorful and the potatoes provided such nice texture! Ended the meal with this amazing halwa with coffee ice cream that just paired beautifully! The place is small so make sure to make a reservation. The bath door doorknob also fell off when one of my friends was inside, but it wasn't a big deal.
Be the first to ReplyOh it's just the loveliest hole in a Brooklyn wall.
The space is so inviting, the staff is cool and hot and queer and hip and friendly, and the food is always wildly impressive. Perfect for a celebration, or just a night out with loved ones. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Dinner Party is a Fort Greene restaurant serving a rotating, seasonally-influenced prix-fixe menu. As the name suggests, the ambiance of Dinner Party is akin to if you had been invited over to a friend's apartment for dinner. Diners have the option to sit a communal table and meet other diners or to opt for a private table. The menu included a black sesame cracker and cheese plate for an appetizer. The next course was a beet salad followed by a sweet potato gnocchi with kale. Dessert was a creamy tahini gelato served with honey and date. Dinner Party is a great place to (maybe) mingle and enjoy food that feels elegantly home cooked .

My friend snagged us a resy here a little while ago and I had no idea what to expect but was absolutely delighted with my experience.Sitting at a communal group and enjoying a meal with strangers was exactly what I needed. It was so cool to experience this tasting together. The interior is so dainty and delicate. The small touches just made everything that much more enjoyable. It was also cool that the service included the resident chef coming out to explain each dish. Everything felt very personal, which makes you as the diner feel very special.Their menu is constantly changing so I won't go into specifics with the meal I had in too much detail but overall I really enjoyed it and definitely thing it is worth the price.Such a great experience that I can't recommend enough.4.9/5
Be the first to ReplySomething straight out of a dream.
There is nothing I love more than living intentionally and making every day things in life romantic. Dinner party does this and more***LOCATION***A relatively easy spot to get to in Brooklyn. I'm not a local, but it seems like there were a lot of metro stops nearby. It was about an eight minute walk from the metro we came from.***EXPERIENCE***I'm so grateful we came here. Ryan was our chef for the night. It seemed there were three people running the whole operation. The chef, the host, and the bartender. I get the sense they rotate roles which I love. Dinner Party's whole thing is your dining experience is meant to feel like an intimate night at a friend's place. Some of the seating is communal while others are private. I made a reservation on Resy (highly recommended doing this if you want a table). Our table was in the patio section with gorgeous doilies, dried flowers, and a taper candle. Before I dive into the food, do know that this was a two hour dining experience. Things were on the slower side, which I did not mind, but if you're in a rush it might not be a good idea to stop in. When you come in there is a set menu and you are served that. They do accommodate any allergies/dietary restrictions. This did feel like a friend's home because we didn't have a menu and had no clue what we were going to eat next. The imperfections in the dining experience added to the charm for me.It seems they rotate the menu weekly. I adored everything we ate. We started with a seeded sourdough and eggplant puree, followed by a Japanese sweet potato salad appetizer, then a curried lentil and paneer dish, and ended the night with a fig jam, pistachio topped vanilla pudding. I didn't catch the proper names of these dishes, but I didn't need the name to tell you how yummy it was. Everything was wholesome. It was beautiful. Eating these dishes reminded me why I love food so much. I love the beauty of a wonderfully cooked meal, how it brings people together, how it nutriates you, and how it makes you feel good. It's not every day I can say I felt inspired by food, but this place did that for me. ***PRICE***We spent $136. It was a four course meal. We got two of them and my partner ordered an Americano. I think prices vary based on the time of day you come.***BATHROOM***It's not often I write that I left a bathroom feeling inspired. LOL I was in love with everything about this place. This bathroom felt like your art school bff's cozy bathroom. The door was covered in different art postcards and the lighting was a cozy candle. I loved the collage of people washing their hands. Let's just say it's a clean bathroom that has a lot of fun ideas for your own home bathroom lol.***CONCLUSION***I loved this place so much. I cannot express how magical my experience was here. If you want to spend an evening being present, eating intentionally, and feeling comfy and relaxed, this is an amazing place to dine.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not sure if I'm missing something.
I adore the concept of a supper club, and the proliferation of this new kind of restaurant as of late speaks to the desire for a community centered around the dining experience. The timing didn't work out for me so I had to settle for Dinner Party's weekend brunch fare, which may have contributed to my lackluster experience. I arrived 15 minutes late, with my companion arriving 35 minutes late, and there's no "reservation cancellation," because after all, not a fancy restaurant. I sat at the communal table and tried to make small talk with the person at the same table, whose friend was also late. Not much luck there. Once my friend finally arrived, we dug into our prix fixe meal of mushroom Gruyère quiche, small mixed lettuce salad, 2 roasted chestnuts, a few tiny spicy maple glazed carrots, slivered almonds; then for dessert, 1 ginger molasses cookie and 3 slices of pear.If the $25 brunch is for the ~homey vibes~, then Dinner Party does a decent job. But who says home cooked food can't be interesting and delicious? I myself have made tarts, pies and cakes at home before, and I am by no means a regular baker nor cook. Everything, including the latte and matcha latte we ordered, tasted fine, though I was left me feeling hungry a couple hours later. The dinner menu looks a lot more interesting and filling (though more than double the price at $60 unless you select a Tuesday slot which is $48). I might be willing to try coming on a Tuesday, but I would not recommend their lunch, which was an underwhelming experience.

Had the best time reuniting with 5 of my best friends from college. Such a fun concept and cool space. Was gonna have my birthday party here last December but they closed for covid, so I'm glad I was finally able to make it out for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyThis was such a well done beautifully executed experience.
I truly did feel like I was at a dinner party at one of my close friends houses. The dinnerware is all mismatched and hand picked. Gives a nice chill, homey vibe. The food all came out timely and everything was really enjoyable. There's only one seating per night at 7:30 and this allows everyone in the restaurant to really take their time and also engaged with the servers and the head chef. We started out with a flatbread that was topped with warm goat cheese I believe, pears and arugula. Then we had a delicious fall squash based soup with pepitas on top and a delicious herb olive oil. Next we had a beef roast with mashed potatoes topped with radicchio and olives. This was so flavorful it tasted like it was slow cooked all day. And to top off, molten chocolate cake for dessert. My absolute favorite part of the meal was chatting with the chef. The menu is set weekly on Mondays when they shop for whats in season. This makes everything taste really intentional. You don't have to spend time on picking something from the menu, you can just enjoy yourself!

I love the atmosphere and I love the pre fix. Great concept! Highly recommended! And if you have the chance to have their sourdough bread, what a treat!
Be the first to ReplySuch a lovely concept for a restaurant.
Truly a hidden gem in the area. The chef himself came out to thank us for coming and they even adjusted the menu to make it vegan for me. Everything was delicious but I have to say the japanese sweet potato was to die for! Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyFood and service were amazing!! Vibe is so cozy.
The only thing I'd mention is that the drinks were really expensive but the prices weren't listed in the menu. We ended up paying just as much for drinks as we did for the meal, which was a bit of sticker shock. But I will definitely come back and either BYO (which I saw others do) or just ask ahead of time :)

Such an interesting concept and a great experience with comforting and delicious food. You're meant to schedule a time slot and attend a "dinner party" where you're sat with other diners and all enjoy the same 4 course meal. **You are able to make it vegetarian friendly Our first course was a beet gazpacho which was very flavorful and fresh. The dabs of sour creme was my favorite part. Next we got a prosciutto salad with melon. Idk what the flavoring on the lettuce was but it was perf. The melons were also ripe and yummy. Our main course was a bow tie pasta with ricotta cheese and other veggies. The pasta was cooked well and the cheese tasted really fresh. Everything paired together really well in this dish. Our dessert was a lemon raspberry tart. Everyone got hugely differing sizes of slices. I got a monster slice while my dining companion got a wicked small one. It wasn't the best flavors of the night but the crust was great. Overall, the portions were a bit small but everything was well cooked and the experience was intimate and lovely. The chef even came out and asked how everything was. I love the concept of not really knowing your course list before you arrive. Going once has made me confident in recommending something like this to my friends.

All I can say is "FABULOUS!" From the moment I walked in the vibe was warm, cozy and funky. A server greeted me right away with a smile as she brought us to our table. I was having dinner with 3 other family members. My mother, who is elderly and in a wheelchairneeded assistance getting to our table. Staff accommodated her with no issues and stashed the wheelchair "somewhere" and didn't see it until we were ready to leave! The decor is eclectic within an organizational theme. Everything from the tables, seats (I was sitting on a comfortable wooden bench that extends alongside the entire back wall with cozy back pillows) dinnerware, art work and Knick knacks all made sense and was enjoyable to look at. Nothing cold or sterile about this restaurant, staff or chef. Each food course was delicious as well as the "paired" cocktail for the meal. I'm not one to have the patience for a 2 + hour meal however dining at Dinner Party one looses track of time while enjoying great food, conversation ambiance and watching others meet for the first time as they dined. The chef also came out mid course and greeted each table. The dessert was chocolate mousse....need I say more.I enjoy the idea that each week is a new menu because dang, that chef has skill! Thanks to ALL who made Dinner Party a great place to dine!
Be the first to ReplySuch a pretty spot & perfect for brunch.
This spot offers a strict pre-fixe menu that changes based on chef's choice & seasonality. Had the sweetest sweet peas as a starter & some duck breast with chili oil + ramp (instead of scallion) pancakes. For dessert we had cornmeal pudding with candied mangoes. Wondering if this is a BYOB spot, just missed some spirited drinks but not complaining. They also served up some very refreshing iced coffee perfect for 90 degree day.
