Even though we made a reservation weeks in advance, they showed us a table by the door at the entrance, even though there were many empty tables in the restaurant. The reception was a complete disappointment for me.
Authentic Italian
The DonGio serves authentic dishes, prepared from fine ingredients and cooked to perfection without frills. The tastes are pure and fresh, the service is fluent and attentive.
A nice experience
Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, with sympathy towards Calabria, very candid place, good misenplace, we had dinner in peace without being disturbed by the other diners, shame about the spaces, the tables are very close and above all there are difficulties with the service, the waiters they left the dishes as far as they could reach, we sorted the courses and the service; he is very polite, but in my opinion shy, slightly cold, and above all not even great-great-grandparents Calabrian..... The starters, meatballs, bruschetta, capocollo... more poor than good, the first courses well cooked and of normal quantity, the sausage is always in the middle, even in the second courses I found the portion to be measured, the desserts ok both in portion and quality , tiramisu like grandma's, the spicy pistachio is very original, the barbera in bulk is good, the bill was good, considering the area, the location and the quality of the food (lean) we spent a human amount.

Good quality restaurant in the Top trattoria area of Milan (Via Muratori area), with Calabrian dishes ("nduja") but not only. Six of us tried many of them and they all lived up to expectations. Homemade pasta (various types, all excellent, especially the one with fi nduja sauce), turnip greens meatballs with chickpea cream, stuffed thigh, capocollo saltimbocca and much more. The desserts are also excellent. Finally a place where you eat well, they don't give you "postage stamp" portions (see Visentin critic) and the prices are fair. We will be back for more relaxing evenings.
Impromptu visit
For years I have wanted to come to this restaurant defined as "Calabrian" and traditional cuisine by one of the most important gastronomic guides. Well this time, finding myself nearby for other reasons, I decided to take the opportunity and go there for lunch. Even though I was alone and without a reservation, they welcomed me, although I later noticed that they did the same thing with other couples who arrived after me. The cuisine: called "Calabrian", presented to me on the occasion a delicate Caponata, good, but very little Calabrian in spiciness, in the excellent Passatelli in capon broth and in the delicious veal cheek with vegetables and, finally, in the good tart filled with dried fruit. All washed down with a glass of white Pecorello di Calabria. Cost just under €50 including cover charge. Effect of globalization: some of the employees are Asian, including someone from the kitchen who served me the veal cheek. In summary: very good cuisine, very low prices and cold, courteous but prompt service.

One of my favorite restaurants
I have been to this restaurant twice, the first time I dined outside and the second inside. I can say that I would like to have enough appetite to try everything on the menu, especially the appetizers that I love and the first courses. Capocollo, caponata, Nduja bruschetta, chicory, all delicious. As a promo both times I took the tamarra pasta because it is so good that I couldn't not eat it. I recommend making a reservation because they don't have many tables and it's always full. Very honest prices and this counts too.
Service to improve
Very good restaurant with excellent prices for the average and considering the area of Milan. The only flaw was the service which was unfortunately not up to par, waiters who repeatedly forgot about us and about serving our table (requested several times). Rude owner, probably not in the evening.

If you want to eat well in Milan while spending the right amount, this is the restaurant In my opinion the meat is really good, both raw and cooked and the first courses are always a guarantee They also make gluten-free pasta

I had this problem too when I first started. It took me about 8 screenshots before it was accepted. What is the reason they’re saying it is being rejected?
