We ate on a weekend night on a holiday weekend.
I would have expected the place to be packed. It was not. I was surprised. I guess everyone knew to eat someplace else. The service was impeccable. The prices are steep. I was looking forward to eating some great Italian food. Some of the food did not meet my standards. I had a pasta dish with a beef ragu. Way too salty. Another diner had pasta as well with the bolognese. She was equally unimpressed and thought it lacked flavor. She was looking for more flavor. No bread to go with our meal. ?? Wonder what that is about. The pizza was VERY good. Authentic thin crust with real Italian pomodoro sauce. I've been to Italy over 5 times and was never given scissors to cut a pizza. I would stick to ordering a pizza. Double zero references the 00 flour used to make pizza dough. They scored 100% on the pizza.

Where to even begin with Double Zero?! The food here was EXCELLENT. We went for my father-in-law's birthday. There were 6 of us total. Highly recommend making a reservation, as it's a pretty popular restaurant. This location is right in Decatur, right on Emory University's campus. To start, we all shared the garlic knot and the fritto misto. We got two orders of the garlic knot, as it's essentially one big knot, that you share. It was so good. The butter on top was such a good add-on, and the bread pulled apart so nicely. The fritto misto was enjoyed by our group (I am not a fan of calamari, but they all said it was really good.) This fritto misto did have some pieces of shrimp in it as well, which I had a piece of, it was quite good. For my main course, I got the chicken parmesan and got a pasta add-on of cacio e pepe. When I tell you this is the best chicken parmesan I have ever had, I mean that with 100% truth! It was EXCELLENT. It wasn't a huge piece of chicken in the sense that it was so thick, but it was big in the sense of the size of the entire piece of cutlet. It had the perfect amount of crispiness and softness to it. It also came with a side salad too. You can choose from a pasta add-on of cacio e pepe and pasta pomodoro (for an additional cost). I got the cacio e pepe. It was so good. The perfect amount of everything. My fiancé got the ravioli al formaggio. This dish was also excellent. It was flavorful and had the perfect amount inside each ravioli. If you haven't noticed by now....all the food we got was incredibly flavorful. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was a 10/10. Our group also shared a bottle of red which was recommended by our server. The service at Double Zero is far from terrible. Our server was incredibly attentive and continuously checked on our table throughout the entire evening. He engaged in conversation with us unrelated to dinner and made suggestions when appropriate at the same time. The only reason that I am not giving Double Zero 5 stars, is because parking is an absolute madhouse. There is a lot directly behind the restaurant, but fills up very quickly around dinner time. I had to circle the area about 3 times before I found a spot that opened up. Other than that, everything else is 5 stars. I highly recommend dining at double zero. Whether it be for lunch or dinner for 2 or for 10, you won't be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyWe're double zero fans.
Been coming here since it opened. The pizza and pasta are always great and get the garlic knot if you get nothing else. Posting a review today because we had an exceptionally good meal with server EB. She was on point and explained all the new stuff to us. Husband tried the spring risotto (yum) and I went with the Mussels which were AMAZING if you like brothy seafood. 10/10 perfect mid ambience place, not too fancy but definitely elevated. Give it a try.

This family knows how to run restaurants and provide a wonderful dining experience. Double 00 is a bit loud when crowded but I've never left there without having had a great meal!

Food was amazing!! We'll be back!! Only tough part was finding parking. The restaurant was clean and had a very nice ambiance.

I think this is my new favorite pizza place! We did a pick up order.. Got the Margherita pizza and the flavor was outstanding. Loved the crust it wasn't soggy like some Neapolitan style places. They were also generous with the toppings as well. Other places I've tried put like two pieces of basil on the whole pie or not enough fresh mozarella. But not here! Great job. It was perfect. :)

We used to dine at Double Zero all the time when they were located in Sandy Springs. The service and the food was always on point. We loved it there! For Valentine's Day this year, we went to the Emory Village location and quite honestly weren't impressed. i don't know if its standard or just because of the occasion, but the hostess literally started the night off by telling us how much time we were allotted to dine for. That instantly turned us off. we felt rushed throughout the meal and when our wine glasses were empty, we weren't even asked if we'd like another. We did love the garlic knot and calamari. The short rib was okay. i don't think we'll back again. i don't know if there was a change in ownership/management, but if so we miss the old team and menu.

Visited double zero for date night and had such a pleasant experience. Our server was extremely nice and very attentive. The food and drinks were delicious and came out pretty quickly considering how packed the restaurant was. We showed up about 10 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated immediately. I will definitely be back to visit.
Be the first to ReplyThe pizza is fantastic.
The sauce, the crust, the toppings... The owner was very nice, open, and talked with us for a bit since we had a couple of minor issues with service but our waiter was good and took care of us.

We were in town visiting for a conference and tried out Double Zero because the shuttle from the Emory Conference hotel took us there. It was a Monday night and took advantage of half priced bottles of wine. The service was great and the food was very good too. I had the margarita pizza and was surprised that it comes uncut and they bring you scissors to cut it yourself. It works well if you are sharing and don't want big slices. The decor is nice and enjoyed our experience there.

Had the most amazing meal at Double Zero this week!! Everything we ate was sooo delicious and our service was amazing. The chicken parmesan and caesar salad were for sure my favorite!! This spot is right in Emory Pointe, and there are lots of other great spots to make this a full date night. Definitely get to this spot if you have been trying to for awhile!! It is fun and YUM!!
Be the first to ReplyThey have great specials on the menu.
Came on a weekday and took advantage of their pizza deals! The food is delicious and the space is perfect for small or large groups.

I placed a takeout order on 12/21, I ordered the beef pappardelle and a garlic knot which with tax and tip came to $44. The pasta was very under seasoned and not salted at all and the garlic knot was heavily salted. However, it had one redeeming quality and that was it was very garlicky which is what I was hoping for. On another note, the hostess was a little impatient with me when I came in and was a little dismissive before I let her know I was there for a pick up order. She was shaking her head no as I walked in and making eye contact without me and no one else was there with her. Not sure what to make of that, but it was definitely bizarre to say the least. For the price point of the food and the service, I won't be returning.
Be the first to ReplyMay 2023 - We love Double Zero and all the CHG restaurants.
The DZ team is always very friendly, accommodating when needed, and delivers amazing dishes. We really enjoy the seasonal changes as well. DZ is a favorite so much for us that we booked our rehearsal dinner here for later this year. Dec 2023 Update - We still love DZ and probably love it even more. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would!!! In September 2023 my wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here for 55 people. We really can't say enough amazing things about Dustin, Daniel, and the rest of the DZ & CHG team and how amazing people they all are. Our struggle in finding a place was that everywhere we looked in the city was either to small to host 55 people or required us to reserve the entire restaurant and pay big bucks to do so. DZ was great because it we could book half the space with just a F&B minimum, plus it was a great location and not your typical chain. It was a true Atlanta gem & experience for our guests during their travels. We went the route of a buffet style dinner which was great to create a casual and socializing friendly vibe, and the DZ team was extremely accommodating for those with special dietary needs. We were also able to work out a cash bar with our guests that felt very well executed and not a hassle on anyone. DZ should def be at the top of your list for any date nights, traveling friends in need of a great meal, special event meal, holiday/office parties, and everything else! You won't be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThe pizza, garlic knot, and cocktails were great.
Service was spot on with Braxton being our excellent server.

Tried this place with a group last night and was super impressed. First off, the garlic knot was a ridiculously tasty indulgence (fried, but oh so worth the calories!). The stagione (?) salad was bursting with flavor and texture. Loved that. The Caesar salad was fine, more standard. The OG DZ pizza was super tasty and well balanced. Awesome crust as you'd expect given the beautiful wood fired ovens. Butterscotch pudding for dessert was something different and had a delicious set of flavors. Service was on point, nice ambience. Can't wait to go back!!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely love this place!! Perfect for a date night.
Food was delicious and the drinks were great as well! We ordered the garlic knot, Caesar salad, and the short rib ragu i can't wait to go back and try more on the menu!!

Our server, TC, made excellent recommendations for appetizers, the garlic knot which is fried and mozzarella is wrapped in double zero dough as well as the cauliflower which is fried and has a delicious sauce with nuts. Our table was on the small side-they managed to put 4 chairs around a two person table, otherwise we could also be seated at a high top table next to the front window. The kid's pizza with one topping is huge and well worth it. My son also got a mock tail, "So fresh, so clean", also recommended by TC, which he enjoyed. My husband got the OG pizza which he enjoyed. My daughter got a tortellini pasta dish dish which was 'busting full of cheese" which she liked. The hostess was not so friendly but at least she did get me a kid's menu even though she did not acknowledge me telling her that it was my daughter's birthday. A little more personality please!
Be the first to ReplyVery nice place.
Food is very niche which is fine but just be aware. Also kinda pricey but on their special days (Tuesday pizza day, Thursday calzone day) it is very cheap. Very nice wait staff. I got the calzone the first time we went, it was pretty good, I wouldn't say anything special. I got the salad the second time we went, the lemon vinaigrette was to die for but the salad itself was like a 3.75/5 (had to get specific on the ratings haha). Overall a place I'd recommend for sure but honestly only on their special nights. Other than that might not be worth it.

The pizza has the NY Crisp crust I search for , fresh toppings. The chicken Piccata is the best I've had in Atlanta . Great Bar service & food service. What's not to love here?

Our server, Tesi, went out of her way to make us a dessert even though they were completely sold out of the one we wanted. It ended up easily being the best dessert I have ever eaten. If the chef sees this, he needs to put my girl on the dessert line and let her fly.

Short of a round trip non-stop on Delta to Florence for a pizza at Torcicoda, this is the place. If it's in your neighborhood, be a regular. I would compare to Napoli, but that Italian stop is still a bit iffy for foreigners.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly Double Zero is just okay.
It is not the best pizza place I've ever been and not really worth the price. I ordered takeout and was a few minutes early so I was prepared to wait but ended up waiting twenty minutes after the scheduled pick-up time which isn't great especially if you have plans. I got the garlic knot because it has so many good reviews but I didn't like it very much. It was very lemony and had almost no garlic flavor and I've had better garlic knots for cheaper. The margarita pizza and ravioli were okay but not worth the price. You are probably paying for the ambiance but if you are getting takeout it's not worth it and I doubt I'll go back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza and appetizer, good service and ample parking.
Restaurant is beautiful inside but portions are small for the price. What's good, pizza, perfect dough. Aranchini, flavorful, cooked crisp. Garlic knots, savory and sinful. Ceaser salad, interesting lemon oil flavor. What's not good, meatballs dry and gamey. It's a nice spot and worth it for the pizza.
