Doya Miami Reviews from The Last Year

10/10 service and the meal was amazing! Super tasty and left us feeling satisfied. I know why this place is Michelin recommended because it definitely had some of the best service of anywhere I've been in Miami or Chicago.
My favorite restaurant in Miami hands down.
Have been here countless times and the food and ambiance never disappoint. Sitting at the bar is a nice casual vibe otherwise sitting outside on a nice night or afternoon is the best. The service can be hit or miss but will continue to come back regardless. The grilled octopus is the best I've had in Miami (we try it every place we go that has it on the menu) and the beet hummus is unmatched. All of the dips are awesome, especially muhamarra and spicy tomato. The only thing I've not loved is the crispy eggplant which was lacking flavor. The calamari, kebab, house fries, and baked feta are all great. Nice selection of wines at a good price and the spritz's and gin and tonics are so good as well. Can't wait to return.
You will find Turkish and Mediterranean food here
You will find Turkish and Mediterranean food here everything was so healthy and delicious. Service was excellent I recommend you to sit outside love the place and service. Thanks will come back again.

Great service, it gets really busy on weeknights but slows down after 9pm. Food options are plenty, with choice of hot or cold menu. I had the manti (beef dumplings) and was amazing. Also had the beet hummus which a great app

I had high hopes for this restaurant but it just missed the mark. We were seated outside in their gorgeous patio, great ambiance. Our server provided a few recommendations, including the beetroot hummus and the chicken thighs. We also ordered a veggie platter for the hummus and the Greek salad. Everything except the chicken lacked a bit a flavor. The Greek salad is very simple with a generous portion of feta on top. The beetroot hummus had olive oil and pine nuts on top. Both dishes needed a bit of salt. The chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service was lacking, had to ask multiple times for water and the waiter didn't come over to check on us. Overall pretty subpar experience for it being on the Michelin guide.

Doya is one of my absolute favorites in Wynwood, Miami, Florida. They provide a modern twist on Mediterranean food. The octopus was so flavorful and crispy. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The fries were a salty and delicious side. I really appreciate the tapas-sharing-style of the food. It makes sharing and sampling all the dishes so much easier! The outdoor patio is a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy the Miami weather, but the indoor seating is also lovely with the cool straw lamps and splashes of blue. I will definitely be coming back!

Doya provides a delightful dining experience with its contemporary Greek/ modern Aegean Meze cuisine and craft cocktails. The stuffed peppers, branzino, shrimp ouzo, lamb chops, baked feta, and house salad all excelled in taste and presentation. The Apollo cocktail I ordered was particularly outstanding. The restaurant's upscale yet airy atmosphere, complete with a central bar and indoor-outdoor seating, enhances the overall experience!

Best Turkish food in Miami, mezes are amazing, you will not need a main course. Always vibrant ambiance, a must try place
Definitely solid, with a few hiccups here and there though.
The drinks menu is absolutely stunning, and I think the team here has put a ton of thought into the aesthetic look of the restaurant. I'm not going to lie, I found the menu pretty overwhelming for both food and drinks. You see octopus a bunch of times on cold and hot side, etc. All of the food we ordered was awesome though - I think their chef does a great job. The Muhammara was awesome. I actually really enjoyed the roasted cauliflower (they forgot this and we waited for almost an hour and a half before we realized and said something). Saganaki was tasty, octopus was well cooked and seasoned. I would say eat the free bread and skip the bread they push on you. It's basically a sad tortilla not exactly the lavash I remember at other Mediterranean restaurants. And it's $8 per serving from what I remember (correct me if I'm wrong lol). Service I think might have been slightly understaffed when I went - they were great with the water but our actual waiter / waitress was nowhere to be found unless you caught them in the middle of power walking between other tables. I would return! I feel like it might have been a slightly off night, but the food quality is definitely there. Just smaller things here and there - is it the best Mediterranean restaurant ever? No, BUT it is very pretty, has good drinks and food. Solid for a night out in wynwood.
A must try in Wynwood.
Freshly prepared foods and crafted cocktails, great ambiance for group or date night.
Don’t bother
We had a booking at DOYA MIAMI yesterday at 8:30pm. We received an email stating that not all of the menu will be available due to kitchen malfunction, which we were fine with. However, upon arrival we were informed that the restaurant is closed. We were on a 30-minute taxi ride to arrive there and an email for booking cancelation was received at 8:45pm. This was super unprofessional and not of Michelin standard- left us stranded with no other options for dining.
Table of 4 Ambiance /outdoor super nice vibe Service- good
Table of 4 Ambiance /outdoor super nice vibe Service- good and way too fast Drinks: best, The Sulton worst, Doya Gilmet= Dill and a splash of Gin Cold Meze: Green Goddess: worth skipping. Basically yogurt and parsley. No resemblence to description on menu. Hot Meze: Manti- delicious Char-Grilled baby wings- bland w/o the extremely spicy sauce but still delicious Lahmacun- terribly insipid Baked Feta: Good Pide with Truffle: Absolutely crave able Adana Kebap- pressed meat shaped as a kebab, general consensus, not good. House cut fries: delicious and real - as for the yogurt- ask for it on the side i/o on top. Brussels sprout: Delicious Desserts: Baklava- oh my God - you must order (3 bite sized pieces per order) Mastic Pudding: If you feel the need to regurgitate everything ingested this dessert is the bomb- ugh- good luck! Pro's: -OutdoorAmbiance is great but in certain areas chairs will bump against each other -Everything is fast- too fast for me, feels rushed. Most all plates are served at once- leaving little to no table space to eat and enjoy -Service is good and employees to customer ratio feels like 3:1 Cons: -Parking is atrocious -Drinks and food come out fast, way too fast so no time to enjoy drinks or savor food (feels rushed). -small plates are expensive for portions Total bill incl. tip 434.00 Included 4 drinks and 9 plates 2 desserts Average $100.00 p/p DONT let waiter persuade you into ordering 3 or more plates per person - you will find it to be a wasted over indulgence and a guaranteed stomach explosion. 6-7 plates for a party of 4 is plenty..
Would not go back.
The food was just ok. The mussels were the best thing we ordered. Baked feta was not good don't bother. Octopus was good but in an overly salty cream sauce. Butter shrimp tasted like sautéed shrimp topped with cheddar cheese so basic. Drink with tumeric was too smoky but the description of it did say it had smoke so someone that likes smoky would like it. Definitely had a pretty ambiance.

Amazing experience at Diya! Our server Arnaud was the consummate host, and really made our night. Almost all the food was fantastic, seasoning and char. Doya kebab is an amazing lamb shawarma and is a must get, All the drinks were amazing as well!
Amazing food.
Something for everyone. Every dish we tried was 5 stars. Our waiter Max was very friendly and attentive. His recommendations were spot on on. The milieu hopping on a Wednesday night.
A great choice in Wynwood.
Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant with a really nice menu. Interior is beautiful and the outdoor seating is very nice too. Food was excellent and quite reasonable for Wynwood. Service is very attentive. an excellent choice to take out of town guests.
Great atmosphere and food.
We had the branzino and the lamb chops, everything was very well cooked. Outstanding service from Igor, he was very attentive but not overwhelming. He made sure we had the best experience possible at Doya. We will be back and we will be asking for him.
The food was excellent, and the ambiance was also perfect
The food was excellent, and the ambiance was also perfect (for the most part, keep reading). The standouts were the brussel sprouts, the lamb chops, and the meatballs. Beet hummus was also delicious, and the butter rice they are served on is tasty as well. The baked feta was very good, and so was the Aegean Tarte dessert. We could have done without the Octopus or the Fava bean thing. Presentation and seasoning were off on those dishes. The only reason I am not giving it a 5-star review is that we felt like the waiter was really trying to upcharge us at every point - between the off-menu Branzino and Champagne "Birthday special," etc., we thought it was not subtle and a bit pushy. That, and that as the night ended, the place was all of a sudden swarmed with flying termites. It was not an issue from the time of our reservation, 6ish - 8sh, but by 8:30, our table was covered in them, and they were landing on us!!!! I know it's Miami, and I know it's termite season, but note to DOYA OWNERS - PLEASE FUMIGATE if you haven't already. Overall, definitely come here; it's excellent, but maybe sit inside if you're going in the next few weeks!
Food was amazing and the ambiance was very beautiful.
The decor is amazing and the waiters are very friendly. Upon making the reservation the restaurant called and texted us 3 separate times to confirm our reservation only to tell us we had cancelled the reservation when we arrived. They claimed we never confirmed, but sat us shortly after the small discrepancy. The menu is not very detailed; probably due to the fact that there are so many items. The dishes are so similar that they're hard to distinguish without getting an in depth description from the staff. We ordered one of the eggplant dishes which came fried, to our surprise. I would definitely come again now knowing how I will order in the future. Overall delicious and unique!
Great food.
Went for a company dinner, so we got most of their best dishes. They were all amazing. I also got the soltero to drink, so good. Very pricing but worth it if you like Turkish food
Date night success, just not a home run
Its really a three and half to Four. We had a carpaccio of Branzino and it was lacking in flavor but excellent in quality, the mussels where without a doubt from the hot kitchen a 5/5 Then we rounded with the Octopus on charcoal grill that was a 3.5/5 and the Beyti Kebap that was a 3.5/5
Great ambience and service but mediocre food.
We like the ambience. Sat outdoors. Really pretty and thankfully no loud music. Great service! The menu was promising but the food did not deliver. Not very tasty and some fishes were too salty. We will not return.
Wynwood's Mediterranean Cuisine Treasure
Located in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood, known for its artistic and cultural scene in Miami, Doya is a restaurant that stands out for presenting the best of Greek and Turkish cuisine through authentic, tasty dishes perfect for sharing. Highlights include the cocktail menu and vibrant atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that Doya boasts the prestigious Bib Gourmand rating from the Michelin guide, recommending reservations.
Cool
Nice environment. Extensive wine list (from $67), lots of drinks. There are no dishes for a meal (lunch/dinner), but many tapas/small dishes options. Cool
Good and quiet
Quiet and chill location Very good food ( octopus , doya kebab, …) A little expensive but worth it Super service We recommend
On the Aegean
Very nice restaurant in the Wynwood area with a bar corner and soft music. The Greek-Turkish cuisine menu is quite extensive, with my wife we chose the classic dishes: as an appetizer the haydari (zaziki) very delicate in flavor and dense in consistency, as well as the beetroot humus. We didn't give up on an excellent traditional Turkish kisir (a salad made with bulgur, parsley and tomato paste etc.) abundant and very tasty. Finally, the grilled octopus, although not too large in portion, was satisfying. Overall, the restaurant is fully promoted, just as its presence in the Michelin guide is justified. Delightful.
Hidden Gem in Wyndwood District
Hidden gem, wonderful outdoor area and vast indoor dining. Friendly service and great Turkish, Aegean dishes to share
Great ambience
Crazy good food and ambience. Friendly service, good drinks. Will def come back soon. Good value for money!
Consistent tasty, delicious, Mediterranean fare. Specially Turkish cuisine
I have been here now 3 times already and more to go. I like that the Chef owner is there and he is very friendly and hospitable. Turkish people are, because i have visited Turkey 8 times. I love all the food. I try to sample everything new in the menu each time. However, Servers need to know how to the explain dishes if asked, graciously to the guests who have not been there. I like the ambiance, and the fact that it has a Michelin star and is affordable. The parking is a little of an issue, and valet is high. So go earlier than your time reservation to park with oay by phone on the streets.
