Fasano Restaurant is a true gem with exceptional customer service from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, the hosts welcomed us warmly, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. The bussers and cocktail water were attentive and kept our table neat throughout the meal. Our server, Genara L, was a standout, providing attentive and knowledgeable service that enhanced our evening. We felt as we were very valued customers of this beautiful establishment even though we've never been there before. The food was nothing short of exceptional, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. As for our main course we opted in for ANATRA (Duck leg), IPPOGLOSSO (Halibut) and TORTELLI (veal ravioli). From the first bite to the last, every aspect of our meal was a delight, including delicious desserts. We had an incredible interaction with our cocktail waiter who made amazing drinks recommendations and had a great sense of humor. The atmosphere at Fasano Restaurant is truly beautiful, creating a dining experience that is both elegant and inviting. The decor is tastefully done, with attention to detail that adds to the overall charm of the restaurant. Another fantastic side of this place is that they have a Jazz Bar that's located on the 2nd floor called Baretto. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to talented Denise Reis. Her voice was outstanding! Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends, the beautiful atmosphere enhances the dining experience and makes it a place you'll want to return to again and again. We will definitely be returning to Fasano restaurant and Baretto Jazz Bar for another memorable dining experience when we are back to New York City.

Never again terrible experience! The restaurant was beyond empty and the service was mediocre at best. I don't see this place staying open for longer than a year.
We came here for our anniversary.
In order to get to the dining room you have to past thru the bar lounge. The lounge is huge and beautiful. You go thru a corridor and you see this outrageous and stunning dining room. That was the only good thing about this place. It seem like to communicate with the waitress and other staff members that was very difficult. My wife order the chicken and some of it was still bloody. I order a seafood meal which completely salty that the next day my upper mouth was sore. I order a house chardonnay wine glass for my wife. They pour no more the 2 oz in her glass ( I once was a bartender) they charge us $ 26 for this. What a rip off! They were quick too hand us the check. At this point we were glad to leave. For a very highly upscale restaurant this food is average. The only thing I would recommend at this place is to stop for a drink in the bar lounge because it is very romantic.

Went here for a Valentine's day dinner with the pre-fixe menu. The waiters were very pushy to order drinks, asking us a handful of times before we even got a chance to open the menu. The waiters forgot the appetizer as part of the pre-fixe, and had to be reminded twice, and only brought it out right before the main course was ready. A couple next to me ordered drinks and has to remind them multiple times throughout the night as well before they were brought out. The food was very mediocre, as were the drinks. To top it off, there was a 20% included gratuity that they did not earn and an extra charge that was included in the check that could not be accounted for.
Overall horrible experience & went in with very high hopes.
Literally never write reviews but this is maybe the worst dining experience I have ever had (and paid $225 a person for NOT including drinks btw). Went for Valentine's Day, didn't get seated until 30 minutes past our reservation time, it was fine they gave us glasses of complimentary champagne we didn't really care about the wait at this point, it's a busy holiday so understandable. We get seated and are given menus, then don't have any servers approach us for 45 minutes & had to flag down someone to finally order drinks. We finally get drinks & order our food and it took 35-40 minutes in between courses! The food was mediocre for the most part, the fish I ordered was not cooked correctly and the rice dish was also undercooked. The service was not attentive at all and despite not being the last people seated we were the last in the restaurant because of how long it took to bring out each course. Ambiance was nice & upscale so I had high expectations but was overall a HUGE disappointment and I would never recommend anyone to go here for how pricey it is. It seemed like every couple near us was also unhappy with the restaurant between the service/wait times so did not seem to be an isolated incident for just us.
This dish is Delicious! A must have.

Was here around the opening and have been back 3 times since. This is the place to be. It's New York of old, but all modern and present day. The food is perfect, but be careful, the portions are enormous and best shared. The Milanese is the size of a table. Even the salad was enough to feed 3 people. I simply love the restaurant and the long wide hallway from the bar to the dinning area. There's also a semi secret jazz spot upstairs which I almost don't want to mention cause it's still possible to get in... at least for now.

Beautiful sexy room with great seating. Horrible food. My wife had tuna tartare that tasted old, not fresh.Paccheri pasta with tomato sauce tasted gummy. She ordered the halibut which was very dry and overcooked and sent back. Followed by Seabass, which tasted old, not fresh very bad dish. For me, I have to say the Vitello Tonnatto was sensational. Followed by crab stuffed pasta, which was OK. Followed by duck which was dry, and tasted old as if it had been left in the kitchen. Considering how beautiful we thought the room was this was an extremely disappointing experience. Something needs to happen in the kitchen. We won't return. On the other hand, we went upstairs to Barreto, the jazz club, and had a sensational experience with a great Brazilian musical act. We'll return to Barreto and pass on the restaurant. Go figure!

Did not meet the mark
This is a great hotel by name no doubt. The rooms were the absolute best part of the hotel experience. Classy and roomy with very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the service was hit and miss. Some of the staff were superb, others mehhh... I would say going through the motions. It did not help that only one of the two lifts were working , which also made the whole stay a but more tedious as there was always a considerable wait and awkardly crowded lifts. The breakfast was ok but lacked choice, the maitre'ds were excellent, but quite a few of the wait staff had really not much service training at all. It was difficult to attract attention and simple things like giving way to customers seemed a low priority despite the restaurant being uncrowded. Finally, I had to ask for the price menu for the mini bar in my room 4 times before I got one. Perhaps they are most used to hotel guests where money is no issue :) Not expected for a hotel with the name Fasano Would not stay again..
Fasano is amazing
Impeccable hotel. Beautiful decor, cozy and extremely clean. I stayed in a superior suite and loved it. Large and comfortable room, as well as the bathroom. Everything very organized. The employees are incredible, friendly and helpful. It's really worth it. A small caveat for the service at reception, which differs from the others. I found it cold.

Fabulous! A unique experience. And we also met Rod Stewart at the hotel, the reason for our trip to São Paulo. It crowned our stay at Fasano!! Impeccable service, comfortable and spacious room, super well served breakfast with special service!
Not so pleasant...
We were staying from 11/09 to 13/09 at Fasano Jardins, initially I discussed the positive points: excellent location, comfortable rooms, service, which was generally friendly and professional, with emphasis on breakfast and the pool. However, it was a slightly unpleasant experience, starting with the day we arrived, when I asked the butler Gabriel if I could exchange the Welcome Drink, made from coconut water, for two glasses of sparkling wine, but I warned him that, if it was not possible, he would let me know, After more than half an hour, he called the room and informed me that it would only be possible to have a glass of sparkling wine, which I found strange, but I replied that yes, it could be. To my amazement, more time passed than normal and I announced that it was no longer necessary, and a sweet treat soon arrived as "compensation". The most unpleasant situation, however, occurred on the second day, which we had stayed in due to the Sabores de São Paulo experience, still celebrating my birthday on 06/09. It turns out that upon check-in we were informed that the experience included: two nights' accommodation, with the Nonno Ruggero Restaurant menu: with starter, main course and dessert for two people served in the apartment, in addition to breakfast. On the night of dinner, we were presented with a reduced menu with 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts, in other words, completely at odds with what was announced on the website, as can be found on the Fasano Jardins page>Experiences>Special Programs> Sabores de São Paul. At this point, I spoke on the phone and later in person with the manager André, who, in an unprofessional and inelegant attitude, argued with me saying that, "dinner was a courtesy and that the price of accommodation, without dinner, would be the same", as if we had to settle for options that were not of interest to us, insisting that that was the menu and not the full Nonno Ruggero menu, as informed at check-in and published on the website. Finally, after I asserted that this is false advertising and that we are lawyers, he "made a concession", as if he were doing a favor and not just fulfilling a service contract. Really disappointing! Unlike the attitude of the Fasano Itaim managers and the Itaim BH manager, Jéssica Paschoal, who is professional and courteous, for this reason we will return to BH for the third time, in November this year, due to the excellent work of her and her team.

This is an extraordinary hotel . The staff will watch out for you, eac rooms is an elegant, serene oasis oasis in this city. Neighborhood is ideal for walking and finding shos, salons, art galleries..
Very comfortable
Excellent address, central, sober, elegant. Nice bar in the lobby. Very kind staff. Rooms not particularly large but comfortable and equipped with all gadgets. Breakfast of exceptional quality, for me it is the highlight, all very fresh products of the highest quality. It costs money but it's worth it. The only flaw was that only one elevator was in operation but they will fix it. To return
Incredible!! My new favorite hotel
Amazing hotel. From check in to check out, the staff are extremely helpful and are always ready to better serve us. The rooms are impeccable, well lit, with discreet but welcoming decor. When we arrived, there were sweets and fresh fruit in the room. The breakfast is extremely well done. Don’t expect those huge buffets, full of “half-baked” options. Despite not having as many items as other hotels, the available options are all impeccably prepared. The croissant is literally identical to the ones I find in Paris. The eggs Benedict are perfect, the cheese bread is absurdly good. The lobby bar is surprisingly amazing. We stopped there before going up to the room and were surprised by one of the best bartenders we've ever met, Mr. Manoel. He prepared incredible drinks for us, an extremely pleasant person and very sweet. It was truly a worthwhile experience, we will definitely stay at the hotel again, the impeccable courtesy and service make all the difference.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
