This is the best spot in the neighborhood , beautiful and quaint interior, super attentive staff , that are knowledgeable and provided for a great experience , we enjoyed our food and drinks here and will definitely be returning. The prawn dish is a must have.

Trendy Italian spot near Venice, we were seated into the outside area which was very comfortable. Lights were a tad bit dimmer than I would like but I think this is intentional for the ambiance. Our waitress, Kelly, was excellent and attentive. Finished plates were cleared quickly and Kelly checked in frequently if we needed anything which I appreciated. We went on a weekend night around 8pm and there was ample street parking but valet was available too Things we ordered for two people Sficione ($12) - must get, herby and salty crust with fluffy interior. Well worth the price. Prawns (Gamberi) ($35) - excellent and super flavorful. Maybe top 5 prawns Ive had. The sauce it comes in is excellent for dipping the sficione in. It is very expensive though so I don't know if I would get it again. Amalfataji Pizza ($27) - get this if youre looking for a citrusy and bright pizza. A good refreshing dish between or savory heavy course. Reasonable priced. Tagliatelle($45) - super thin pasta which makes it deceptively light. Very savory and tasty but also slightly pricier than what I would expect. Torta al Cicciolata ($18) - got this for dessert. Bittersweet chocolate with whipped cream and nuts. I liked this a lot since I am not one for sweets. Overall this is a cozy mid-upper tier Italian restaurant with a lot of flavor. Service is an easy 5 star. It is slightly more expensive than I would like which is my only reservation on giving it 5 stars overall, but it would be an easy 5 star if the menu was 10-15% cheaper.
Be the first to ReplyReally awesome spot in Venice.
The bread lived up to the hype. Our pizza was very tasty and they happily accommodated our request or not char the bottom. The pesto pasta was my favorite. Would definitely make a reservation for weekends and Friday night. Ambience is very nice as well, especially if you get a view of the area where they are making the pasta.

I feel special when I get lucky enough to snag a reservation here. If it wasn't so hard, I would come as often as I could. I had one dish recently that I have to write about-- burrata and persimmon salad. Whaaaa???? So amazing. Of course, all of the pasta I have tried has been world class. Bread? Mamma Mia! Great place. Now, I will never get in.
Be the first to ReplyI think I fell in love last night.
Actually, I know I'm in love. Oh Felix, you had me at Squash Blossoms and Focaccia. Then you continuously swept me off of my feet with your delectable pizza, the kind of pizza I've never had anywhere else in the world. Your doughy goodness justaposes against your spicy and flavorful meat had me begging for more this morning. Then round after round of perfectly cooked pastas sent me over the edge of absolute culinary bliss. Everything here is perfection. I'm not sure how I'm going to break it to my main chick that she's now the side piece. But love is love. And it was a culinary adventure from the moment I met Felix.

Great ambience. Best spot in west Los Angeles especially in Venice.

Hands down the best experience hosting a group of over 15 people. I reached out about 2 weeks in advance. Luciano and Caroline, the general manager and business manager were quick to communicate and were extremely accommodating. It made hosting a breeze. I was also impressed by how attentive servers were watching our table making sure everyone had a full glass of water and would frequently come by for drink orders. The food was INCREDIBLE. We tried the squash blossoms, meatballs, focaccia, pizza with lemon, ragu, cacio e Pepe, steak, and tiramisu. It's hard to choose a favorite -- but whatever you do ORDER THE FOCACCIA!! ... and the squash blossoms... and the lemon pizza if you want an interesting pizza experience... and the tiramisu was soooooo good I absolutely recommend grabbing food and drinks for a wonderful experience at Felix.

Food was delicious! The arugula salad was one of the best arugula salads I've had. The steak was amazing! The service was excellent. Our server took her time to explain the menu and address our questions.
Be the first to ReplyIt did not start out well.
One of our party members was 15 minutes late and we were offered "to wait at the bar" and would be seated when she arrived. it seemed like an extra $$$ grab, unfortunately. The greeter at the front desk was abrupt and not welcoming. We ordered a Cippolini pizza, which came to the table with a raw crust under its toppings. As not all dishes were brought to the table at the same time, one person in our party (who had food restrictions) did not get their meal until ~ 25 minutes after everyone else started eating. We asked to have a dish modified for food restrictions, but could only "take items off". Lastly, when ordering, we were told for "3" people dining, we needed to order 2 plates/person. How is it they know how much I'm going to eat? Turns out, we ordered 4 dishes and really only needed 3. Overall, it was extremely disappointing experience, especially given the reviews. Not going back.

Delicious food and great staff, my friends and I frequent this facility because the atmosphere is so nice and it's just wonderful food. The service is great they course out the food perfectly so that we're never waiting for too long and they have a very nice variety of different drinks, and a great wine selection. It's always nice being inside and watching the cooks cook in their space. The interior is beautiful and really put together well, I was very happy to see during COVID they were able to utilize the outside extremely well.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was fantastic.
The focaccia bread looks like it would be heavy but it's so light and airy. The cacio e pepe was rich to me so I ate some of the rucola salad in between. That salad was great. My partner got the tagliatelle and he enjoyed it very much. You have to order all your food at once. My only complaint is I wish they would give you a moment to settle in before they start bombarding you with a reading, it was very overwhelming and made me annoyed. We were seated immediately, but then as soon as we sat down I was trying to hand my purse on chair and our waitress came over and said the customary hello and welcome would you like water? But here is where this went left for me. She asked if we had been there before, we said no and then she proceeds to read the ENTIRE menu to us and explain each dish. This would have been fine if it happened about 5 minutes later but again I hadn't even settled in. I was still trying to put my things "away" for lack of better word. Otherwise hostess was very nice everything was great overall and we would return.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing.
I'm not sure why it took me so long to go to Felix, but it's a new favorite. We tried multiple pasta and they were all amazing with the pesto and bolognese being my favorite. Cocktails were delicious as well. Great date spot. Make reservations!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was not as good as I expected.
I will start by saying the bread I ordered to start with the oregano and salt was one of the best breads I've ever had, it was great. The worst thing I ordered was the fungi pizza, the pizza was very floppy, the mushrooms boring and a lack of depth, even dominos makes better pizza than that. Ordered 4 pastas, I had high hopes for the cacio e pepe, but it was mid at best. One of the pastas I really liked, I forgot the name of it but it was the priciest one. Recommend that one. Service was good and ambiance was nice as well. Wish the food was better, I don't believe in the food and I wanted to. The three stars isn't for the food, it's that high because the service was good and everyone there was nice.

I visited this restaurant for a family gathering, and it was a wonderful experience. The menu had something for everyone, and the staff was very accommodating to our group's needs. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any family event
Be the first to ReplyI was pleasantly surprised that the patio seating
I was pleasantly surprised that the patio seating wasactually quite cozy and warm, and you wouldn't even notice that it's been rainy and chilly in LA!I don't recall our server's name, but she was a really sweet woman in glasses and a ponytail. She was very helpful with explaining the menu, which was substantially helpful since majority of the crucial words on the menu were in Italian.. We ended up with 4 courses between 2 people as she suggested. Portion sizes were on the conservative side. The squash blossoms were fried perfectly, I would've liked it with some sort of sauce. I ate it with the market lettuce greens, which had a really wonderful dressing. The margarita pizza was undercooked for my liking and not super flavorful. The linguine Al Limon was definitely the star. Probably the best in LA. Reminiscent of my favorites from New York. The walnut budino was the perfectly sweetened dessert to end the meal- our server remembered that we briefly mentioned we were celebrating our birthdays so she lit 2 candles on our dessert. I thought it was very thoughtful. The staff were very attentive. I personally don't care about switching out dishes, but they were very quick to do it after each course. Hmm, I will be back!

Our friends have been telling us to go here for months, we finally made it over the weekend and oh was the food good! Their handmade pastas were so good i took a dish to go! I highly reccomend this place!
Be the first to ReplyI went on a Tuesday night for a friend's birthday and I
I went on a Tuesday night for a friend's birthday and I loved that the space was intimate, but not tight. Our group was 6 and sat inside. Our waitress recommended that we get about 10-11 dishes, and they're meant to be family style. Of course, with 6 people we all got about 1-2 bites of each pasta. Here's what we ordered:-Sfincione (the airiest focaccia I've ever tasted)-Fiori di zucca (squash blossoms) - they were pretty big in size and the ricotta so creamy-Gamberi (prawns with the most delicious sauce - tip: save some focaccia to dip into this sauce!)-Diavola pizza -Pappardelle (2x) -Cacio e Pepe (my favorite, so peppery!)-Rigatoni (another favorite, very al dente)-Orecchiette (nice kick & some green for you) -Linguine al limoneI got the Aranciata Spritz and a glass of red. The spritz was super refreshing! Note on the rigatoni -- I've never had rigatoni this al dente and it was really a game changer for me. So so chewy but never a crunch! Will definitely be back and order cacio e pepe just for myself :) They also have a uni pasta but they were out the night we went.

What we ordered:- Sfincione- Fiori di zucca- Gamberi- Margherita- Tagliatelle- Tonnarelli cacio e pepe- Torta all'olio d'olivaIf you're looking for a nice date night dinner spot, Felix Trattoria is a decent option. First off, we knew the music selection was superb when we heard "Your Love is King" by Sade. Food wise, we appreciated their approach of wanting your whole order at once to appropriately pace out the meal, as well as their selection of pastas from four distinct regions in Italy. The sfincione had slightly crispy exterior with an airy/fluffy inside. Best bread we've ever tried so far! Origano selvatico and sea salt on top added subtle saltiness and herb essence. Would of liked the olive oil on the side rather than on the bottom.Fiori di zucca was lightly fried like tempura with a nice crunch. The rich/creamy ricotta was cheesy heaven, but might be too much for some people.Gamberi had a pleasant char and consisted of very good quality blue prawns. We wanted more garlic/parsley flavor from the bagnetto verde (great for dipping the sfincione). The vibrant, acidic pomodoro sauce of the margherita pizza complemented the thick buffalo mozzarella and basil on top. Center was perfectly thin and crust had a nice char/crunch and airinessTagliatelle was al dente, our favorite pasta of the night. The ragù bolognese had a very rich beef flavor and the topped parmigiano reggiano added slight saltiness. The tonnarelli cacio e pepe was a bit too chewy for our liking, might not be for everyone. Black pepper was prominent, but the pasta was not cheesy enough. The torta all'olio d'oliva was a bit too dense for our liking. However, oranges poached in honey might be our new favorite thing!
Be the first to ReplyEpic meal.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Definitely the best pasta I have ever had. Pizza was off the charts. Whole Branzino was great. Just amazing. Service is superb. I really can't wait for a return visit. Thank you Felix!!

Food is great, was lucky enough to get a spot at the bar as gave up on a reservation. The cocktails were great and the ambience even better. Pasta al limone was yum.
Be the first to ReplyOn Friday, 3/3, I was able to get a last-minute patio
On Friday, 3/3, I was able to get a last-minute patio reservation at Felix for Sunday evening, 3/5 via the app OpenDoor. I was warned reservations usually book up 1 month in advance so we were thrilled to see they had an opening at 8:45PM. I was required to put a credit card down and informed I would be charged $40 for any cancellations within 24 hours. We arrived at 8:30PM and easily found free parking across the street. Valet was available for ~$20, if needed. The restaurant was packed for a Sunday night. Both hostesses were super sweet and seated us right away. On the way to the patio, I noticed the indoor ambiance was cozy with leather seating and a window to fresh pasta making by the chef.Outdoor, we were seated next to a patio heater (a must during early March). Within minutes, we were greeted by our server Kelly, who offered sparking or filtered water. We opted for filtered, which came in a glass bottle. Kelly was super thorough with her menu recommendations, explaining most-popular items, and her favorites. I didn't realize the menu was intended to be served family style & shared, which was a nice surprise, as my fiancé and I love to get a taste of everything. The Yelp page and Kelly highly recommended the focaccia and squash blossoms, and oh my god, they did not disappoint. First of all, they came out within minutes of ordering. I've never had such airy, delicious focaccia bread. Squash blossoms are essentially ricotta filled squash flowers, which are lightly fried. A very fancy alternative to your typical mozzarella stick. Anything fried and filled with cheese you can't go wrong but how are you going to pass up the opportunity to eat a fried, cheese filled FLOWER. You simply cannot. Dinner came out shortly after. We opted for two pastas since they're all homemade. The rigatoni was a classic, with a nice smoked bacon touch. The Tagliatelle was paper thin with a delicious wine braised flavor. I want to try all the pastas, but if I had to choose, I'd get the Tagliatelle again. If you're up for dessert, the Budino was VERY sweet. Almost like a salted caramel mouse with candied walnuts. Easily shared by 2 and just enough.Service was 10/10. There wasn't a moment our water glasses weren't filled. And by overhearing Kelly with nearby tables, you can tell she genuinely loves what she does and has a keen knowledge of how the food is prepared and served. Such a nice energy to share on a Sunday night.Price was on the higher end, as expected. We spent a total of $150 before tip with 2 apps, 2 pastas, a dessert and a non-alcoholic drink. Can't wait to come back enjoy an indoor experience! Worth the wait to book one-month in advance.
