Chef Fabi and the entire team at Bochinche are incredibly skilled and kind. My partner and I had the most amazing dinner there last weekend. We started our dinner off with two Mr. Hendrick's cocktails, which were absolutely refreshing! We then ordered the croquetas jamon, burrata, and a tradite fish dish. The croquetas were my favorite! Melted in my mouth and it was packed with flavor. We ordered an Argentinian steak to share and they did not disappoint. The steak was easily the best steak I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, and was scrumptiously seasoned. Bonus: I love that you can sit at the bar and watch the cooks make every delicious and Instagram-worthy dish.

Sorry to say but most of the food items needs alittle more salt. The skirt steak I had was definitely under salted. Now skirt steak is a very tender cut type of meat and the best way to serve this is medium rare; ours some parts came out rare, medium rare and well done. This tells me the chef kept on flipping the meat over and over which is a mistake, just leave it on the grill and don't touch it. You'll get better results. The chorizo and beef cheeks was alittle bland also. Chorizo is chorizo, you can't really mess up stuffed sausage. But don't be afraid to up some salt into those cheeks.

Nice decor, music at the right volume with just the right feel for an intimate dinner. The staff hit the perfect balance of attention without intrusive-ness. And the food, of course, was memorable. Nice plating. Interesting, well-crafted dishes. We started with the asparagus salad and an empanada. Both pretty light starters, but delicious. The waiter tried to talk us into the steak, which is their specialty, but I'm not a steak guy so we opted for the grilled octopus and the chorizo with ox cheek. Both were amazing. That was easily the best octopus I've ever had. Tender and a bit smoky. And you do not want to skip dessert. The milk cake was fan-freaking-tastic. Dense and creamy with a coffee sauce and really tart passion fruit sorbet. If this is what Argentina is like, my next vacation is going to be in Buenos Aires.

As the only Argentinian restaurant in Singapore, it was a must try and marked my first foray into Argentinian cuisine. They have an open kitchen concept where you can see the chefs at work.We skipped starters so can't comment on that. For mains, we had the Pomo steak with salad. The Pomo steak is basically a 300g filet mignon. The steak was relatively well-grilled though slightly underwhelming given the price. It does go well with the chimichurri. We also washed it down with a couple of whiskey cocktails and they were decent. The dessert was probably the best thing we had. We enjoyed the chocolate mousse with cherries, olive oil and honeycomb. The chocolate was smooth and the cherries delectable. The reason why this place is not getting at least 4 stars is due to the service. While the waiters did attend to us relatively promptly, they were insistent on us sitting in the restaurant for a minimum of an hour and a half for dinner when I was booking a table. In addition, when my friend was late for the booking, they were slightly abrasive when asking me when my friend was going to arrive and whether the chef could begin cooking. That all said, this place is still worth a visit.
