We visited Foc Sentosa on a Monday afternoon.
It was pretty busy. We were told there was two sides to the restaurant. We chose the side that did not have the $50/person order minimum. Turns out we ended up spending $60 USD for a coke, a suspiciously sweet cocktail, two oily chorizo sausages with NO sides, and four small mushroom croquetas, only to still be hungry afterwards. How? Now I know a tourist trap when I see one.

02pm, and were seated. We submitted our orders after frantically waving for service, because most servers on the floor were fixated on the beach or probably the foreign tourists in-house.We waited, and waited, and waited. Again had to frantically request for help to check on our food - and the waitress looked so sullen at having been asked to help.Thereafter neither our food or drink orders came - and we were only informed by staff that they forgot to put in the order at 1.41pm.So after waiting for 39 mins, and having to follow up on our order, then another staff member sheepishly comes and says whoops - we forgot to put your order in. Sorry.I asked to speak to the manager - again with the "sorry". But no attempts to rectify the situation. What's with the rubbish service FOC Sentosa ?

.. the foods is good, but that's all. The FOC in town has a better ambience and service, and the same food as this. I guess will go back to that location the next time I feel like some tomatoes bread or croquettes!

When I first read the menu I wasn't so sure about this place so I started with a cocktail and omg let me tell you that cocktail was probably the best cocktail I have EVER HAD! The Never Ending Summer was the cocktail; it was expensive, but worth it. So much so that I ordered two. The food was equally amazing. We ordered the fish & chips, deep fried calamari, cod fritters. Grilled romaine, and the prawns. They were all so good, but my favorite I think was either the fritters or calamari. The setting of the restaurant is fun and beautiful. It is not budget friendly, but worth the splurge.

Restaurant is half empty and no reserved signs in sight and yet they turned my family away with the excuse "we're under restrictions"... We replied with "Ok so what restrictions might they be? Clearly they're not reserved as there are no reserved signs on the tables" At this point the server walked away. So I'm wondering were the restrictions the fact we had children with us (for the record not babies or toddlers) or were we the wrong nationality? Seriously not cool, I guess we won't be having lunch with you.....ever....

Dear FOC It's a simple dinner reservationYour official hours are till 11pmThis is stated clearly on all media and websites This is not the first time. On multiple occasions we have been turned away. At 930, 945, even 10pm. Wasted trips. Cost of transport. Loss of time. Gastric issues. Tonight, no less than three phone calls from your good staff just to inform us, your customers and paying diners nothing but NEGATIVE information as follows: "MUSIC IS LOUD are you still sure you want to have dinner here""Last order is at 930pm. NOT 10pm""ORDER ONLINE"Are you for real? You have honoured our official reservation on the online Dinner Reservation portal Chope Confirmation ID 3A6BZYou have spoilt our mood and we will refuse to be harassed constantly and consistently with phone calls in the hour prior to our meal trying to turn us away JUST BECAUSE YOU WISH TO GO HOME EARLY We can tolerate inconsistent standards of cuisine. Blase Service. Mediocre ambience. But what we cannot understand and do not respect is the blatant change in timing for the sake of self preservation!Restaurants that choose to open and close at their whim and fancy do not deserve any patronage. We will write to let our friends and clients and the public know about how Terrible the service has been Kind regardsChristine & Gary Tan

After an up-close-and-personal tour of Sentosa Island, Courtesy of Singapore's black badge Yelp King Nik T, it's time to treat ourselves to a nice lunch.FOC's main restaurant is located in the vibrant Hong Kong Street near Clarke Quay and it's almost always difficult to get a table there. So we took advantage of a slow weekday afternoon on Sentosa Island and visited this FOC location.Owned by Michelin-starred chef Nandu Jubany, FOC (fire in Catalan, the language spoken in the Barcelona region in Spain) serves authentic Spanish tapa with a creative twist.CHICKEN WINGS SANDWICH: It was a small tapa style sandwich made with boneless chicken wings that were delicious, and topped with what looked and tasted to me like avocado mayonnaise. MUSHROOM CROQUETAS: They were fried to perfection! The outer bread-crumbed shell lined with a thin layer of mashed potato was golden brown and crispy. The filling inside was moist and very rich in natural mushroom flavors.SQUID INK PAELLA: Nik suggested that this dish was FOC's specialty and he was right. The risotto rice was moist, and had the perfect balance of softness versus chewiness. The rice was soft and moist, but not mushy. The squid ink flavor was mild but distinct, and without a hint of fishiness (good for me)! The paella was topped with some delicious grilled shrimps and scallops that were the perfect companion of this seafood extravaganza. OCTOPUS GALICIAN STYLE: Delicious and tender octopus slices were sautéed and topped with garlic, olive oil, paprika, and served over a bed of fresh mashed potatoes which soaked up all the juices and flavors of the dish. WOW!PRAWNS AL AJILLO: Perfectly grilled, deveined, and deshelled prawns were served in a sizzling platter filled with olive oil and the natural juices from the prawns with a hint of lemon juice. This way to foodie heaven!CAULIFLOWER WITH PICKLES AND MANCHEGO: This is creativity at its best. A whole cauliflower was cooked and sprinkled with a generous serving of diced pickled and manchego, which is a very tasty Spanish goat cheese. The cauliflower had a nice cheesy flavor to it, and was complemented with the taste of pickle juices, and what the amateur gourmet chef in me speculated to be lime juices. It had an amazing taste profile for a vegetable dish.

We showed up Friday night, the place was large empty except for three tables. By the time we left, we'd seen one more. Food portions were small and the paellas we ordered were ok...

O.C.i have been hearing good things about their hong kong street location but have always been unlucky and unable to get in!:(so when i first saw this location under construction, i was elated.could this be the fabled FOC?could this be my chance to finally dine at FOC?and dine i did, finally.a beautiful beachfront property that surely screams out to the outdoor, sun loving community!the indoor aircon worshipping folks, like me, can also dine in peace sans humidity, yet still soak in the expansive view that this property affords.definitely a dress down version of their original FOC.a wide variety of menu offerings, clearly skewed towards spanish/mediterranean.seafood and paella dishes are definitely the standout ones, must order!the paella was both well executed and easily the tastiest on sentosa and some say singapore?the squid ink version is what i had and is what i would recommend.al dente, flavourfully coated grains that caress and invigorate the buds, leaving the mouth in awe, wanting more.service, though casual, is attentive and accommodating.errors made in order taking was complimentary without any fuss.looking for that perfect party events space?this might well be on your radar once you have set eyes on it.i might, just might, yelp one here!
