I went to folie for dinner tonight. My reservation was at 9:30 and they made me wait 30 mins at the bar because my table was not ready.
At 10:00 i went to the host and told him that our reservation was at 9:30 and that they were half an hour late giving us our table. He responded “the people before you just finished, I can’t pull them by the hair”…. Beyond rude and horrible customer service. The staff really needs to be better trained especially when they are in the wrong. We booked for 9:30 and we should have been seated at 9:30 sharp as we booked.
When we finally sat—we had a rough start but we wanted to have a good dinner, we ordered our food and one hour later it still had not arrived although all the tables around us had arrived after us and received their food. We asked many times where our food is and we kept getting the answer “it is coming” but it wouldn’t come. We came at 9:30 and at 11 we still had not gotten one bite of food.
A woman who i think was not a waitress, maybe a manager came to us and was very sweet and apologetic and offered us free glasses of prosecco and told us that they would give us a discount on the bill which was kind and fair so she is a great asset and the only good service I saw at the place so far—however she admitted that our orders had not been placed and that she just placed it. I canceled my order as I had ordered a steak which obviously is very heavy to eat at 11:30 PM.
