Popped in for breakfast the other day and enjoyed the breakfast gordita. It was a bit harder than I was expecting and I wish it had been spicer but that being said everything was fresh and light, even for a breakfast sandwich. Someone next to me was eating the TLAYUDITA which I'm definitely going to get next time. I love that their tortillas are homemade and you can tell they put a lot of love in them. The coffee was delicious. I love the cafe style minimal space. Service is standard. 4.4/5
The drinks are great, but the food is bland.
I will say the artwork is nice and it's a cute spot for a quick hangout. Other than that, stick to the apps and margaritas.
The mezcal mushroom was amazing.
Definitely recommend this place after a hangover for brunch.
Trendy bunch spot with minimal signage in the area.
Saturday early afternoon, not many people inside, so got a corner table near the windows. Menu looks to be a more traditional Mexican style rather than an americanized version. Decided on the Breakfast Tlayudita ($14) and the Guac/Chips ($12) to share. Guacamole is chunky - would have preferred more salt and spicy to kick it up a notch. The tortilla chips are grainy, but fine with the guacamole. For the entree - a layering of avocado, beans, cheese, and eggs over a fresh tortilla. Loved the ingredients on top, but the tortilla again had that grainy texture and earthy flavor. Service is solid and the ambiance has a relaxed cafe vibe. Better for a healthy breakfast sit down.
Amazing maíz, really nice service, probably the freshest
Amazing maíz, really nice service, probably the freshest Mexican cuisine I've tasted in NYC. High quality ingredients meet unique recipes creating excellent Mexican food you don't see everyday. I recommend going for breakfast.
Cute Mexican brunch/lunch spot if you're in the area.
The taste was good but not like phenomenal. Also feel like it's a bit overpriced for what they give you but overall good experience.

Such healthy, tasty dishes! I got the black bean avocado tlayudita and it was so good and filling! A great place to get a healthy meal in a casual setting. Would definitely recommend giving it a try for vegan/vegetarian dishes.
Incredibly underwhelming and lack of flavor.
Tiny portions as well not justifiable by high price. The environment is amazing though, i think that and conjunction of the low standards of Mexican food in NYC compared to LA makes it such a hit spot. Definitely would go somewhere else.
After hearing about the hype of this place, finally went in
After hearing about the hype of this place, finally went in for dinner. I was excited that everything was vegetarian. Sadly the food had no flavor; everything tasted bland and similar. We tried the carrot tinga quesadilla, hibiscus chorizo y papas taco, and the bean and pepper tetelas. Pretty disappointed.
I got their Breakfast Gordita and an iced horchata.
The Gordita has a thick tortilla stuffed with black beans, cheese, egg, salsa habanero, cilantro, so it's super flavorful. The tortilla was pretty hard to cut and it made the insides spill out every time I pressed on it, so it's not the easiest to eat. This place has an awesome cocktail list for $10 so I would come back at night!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
