Really good food and amazing place
Well first the restaurante is at the legendary Versace Mansion, this place is beautiful in the heart of South Beach! The restaurant is elegant but a little overloaded with tables. The food is sooo delicious! They have an menu for $38 plus service, tips and one drink can be $80, but is worth it! The service is just amazing!! You need to have a reservation this place is really busy and the valet is $45.

The two stars are for atmosphere and service. The food drags the rest of the review down—wayyyyyyy down. Atmosphere: 5 stars. This is like eating inside a museum. The space is stunning. On top of being eye-candy for the architecture and art, the tables set ups and staff uniforms of the restaurant are set for fine dining. Service: 5 stars. We were concerned about service based on other reviews we read, but we truly had exceptional service from the staff. Food: 1 star—it exists. The food is not good, AND super expensive. Or tempura app lacked flavor and the tempura veggies were soggy. We ate only half, and the app was $28. The rest of our dinner followed suit by being mediocre at its best. Makes Olive Garden look Michelin star. The couple at the table next to us had similar issues with all of their plates—I don’t think anyone ate more than a quarter of their dish without giving up. The apps all run mid-high $20 range, a pasta dish close to or over $40. At this price point I don’t expect to want to send every dish back to the kitchen. EXCEPTION: key line dessert was both beautiful and delicious. Other notes: they are clearly cutting corners. Menus are tired and falling apart. Olive oil bottle so dirty and tired I didn’t want to touch it. DRESS CODE: don’t worry, they let pretty much everyone in. All in all we dropped over $300 for two of us, then went out to eat because we barely touched our food here. This is a definite one and done for us. My advice: get a salad and a dessert to see the restaurant, but save your money to eat dinner elsewhere.

I did a reservation, for a dinner to 3 people, but i was stopped at the door because i were of flip-flop. at your website dont have mention about dress code, when i did a reservation i received an email of confirmation and in this email dont have mention about dress code too! Your restaurante stay at the beach, flip-flop is a dress code of beach! Im brazilian, most of part of my trip was planed to go at your restaurant, but just disapointment, frustread dream! Highlighting that we were 3 people, two men and a woman, all wearing flip-flops, but women can enter!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere and food
What a breathtaking place to have dinner! Our server Anthony was just lovely and made us feel very welcome. Lovely food I had the lobster spaghetti and my friend steak and both amazing. Considering I thought Miami was expensive to eat out this was so reasonable for the atmosphere and surroundings and food!

Excellent service from all the waiters, we loved all the food and were very satisfied. We recommend the pizza and the croissant
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Experience
What a unique and beautiful experience! My daughter in law booked it a long time before our trip to Miami, and we were so happy with the experience! The place is gorgeous! The food was delicious! And our server - Romeo, was one of the BEST (!) servers we have ever had, in any restaurant, EVER! I really recommend visiting this restaurant, for anyone who are visiting Miami for the first time.
Be the first to ReplyBest hack (and food, ambiance) ever
There is a fixe prix lunch with appetizer, main and dessert that is a bargain. The food is consistently great and the restaurant, next to the most incredible pool, is an experience.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive but good.
This place is expensive and the menu is not extensive. The selection is adequate. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is amazing but there are a lot of people doing Instagram pictures. Be sure to ask for a table that is NOT close to the pool. That is where everyone is constantly taking pictures and if you have a table that is close you will be in the middle of the traffic.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service and food!!!
Beautiful location, but terrible food and service!!! Exaggerated costs for what you eat with even old bread brought from one table to another. Incompetent waiters. I got a $28 glass of wine brought in a quart measuring cup and poured into the glass without showing the bottle or tasting it. The meat was terrible. Apart from the location it is not worth going to eat in this place. A McDonald's has better food and service.

Very busy atmosphere. Lots to see - not to be missed. Service was excellent - Juan - thank you - two nights in a row! Sea bass was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place
Went for lunch was not disappointed service was excellent and the food delicious, sat by the pool which was great apart from so many people queuing for photos, maybe someone should be there to make sure they move along. But definitely worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyThe worst customer experience ever
The worst customer experience ever. There were supposed to be two of us. As my parter was late and possibly not coming, I was not allowed to get a table. I spoke to the manager who could not care less. He said that is their policy, they could not “grant me” a table if not all parties were there at the same tine. He probably meant that by policy they are unfit to welcome .
Be the first to ReplySo disorganised
Fantastic setting and food above average but service is so slow. There are lots of servers doing nothing and a few rushed off their feet. Drinks come slowly from an overwhelmed bar. Only certain servers can take orders so you have to wait and wait. We gave up on dessert as we had to wait to get menu and then no one came to take the order. One server just could not cope with five tables. She broke a glass all over one customer in her rush. They still expect 20 % service charge. It just needs someone to manage the dining room better. So disappointing to have such poor service in an amazing setting. It could easily be sorted .
Be the first to ReplyExcellent lunch
Had a really enjoyable lunch hete. We booked ahead and requested a table beside the pool. We were given a table in a private corner beside the pool which was the perfect location. If you get a table in middle of restaurant beside the pool you will have people constantly coming up for photos. Service and food was both very good. It was also good value for money (for Miami Beach prices). Only small thing was that there is very little gap between the courses.
Be the first to ReplyDo not go to this place
Do not go to this restaurant unless you stay there because if not they will push you at a table in a corner behind a wall all “the tables are reserved for the guest” not a place to spend your money. The manager was unkind and unapologetic
Be the first to ReplyGianni would faint
Absolutely horrendous. Gianni would be disgusted had he known his home would reek like fish. Drinks were just ok and food certainly not special. Nice to visit the home of the great Gianni Versace- but the cheap renos are a slap in the face to the Versace name.
Be the first to ReplyWorth a visit
Beautiful restaurant but extremely busy and this was a Tuesday night. So would advise booking in advance. The food was very good and service was excellent. We had low expectations on the culinary as felt it would be all about seeing the Versace Mansion. But surprisingly this is a very good restaurant, serving good food. Vegetables were cold on arrival to table but once mentioned it was immediately sorted. Worth a visit
Be the first to ReplyOlivia’s Birthday at Gianni’s!
When you go to Gianni’s, you can’t help but feel you are an A list celebrity. It’s all about the atmosphere! It’s a fun place to go, a bit pricey, but the food was very good.
Be the first to ReplyNever Go During Spring Break
We left our hotel and hour and half early for the forty minute drive- got within one block of Giani’s only to sit in traffic for 45 minutes - call restaurant and told them we were running late and asked for parking suggestions- gave us address of garage a block away - $60 to self park in garage that smelled of urine. Got great table and wonderful waiter But… my 8oz filet mignon was only 5-6 oz edible as the rest was grizzle. My truffle mash potatoes were cold. My wife ordered spinach ravioli’s that were bland in taste. Back to the parking garage where we almost got mugged except for my wife’s quick action in getting the elevator door to stay shut - our 3 1/2 adventure at a cost of $300 with parking was not worth it.

Stuuning location. We sat by the pool, which was amazing. Service was attentive and very helpful. We had the fixed price lunch option which was really good value. Food was superbly cooked. Great air con despite sitting outside by the pool.
Be the first to ReplyLike having dinner in a museum.
It was my second time having dinner at Gianni’s. I absolutely love the historical significance of this place. Service and food are always good (not star quality, but good quality food and good portion sizes). The only thing bothering me is that checking in can get a little chaotic with so many people walking around and also that guests are allowed in with tshirts and flipflops on. I’m sure Gianni Versace is rolling over in his grave seeing what I saw lol.
Be the first to ReplyA Bizarre Spectacle
If Versace were still alive, seeing the circus that has overtaken his pool patio might thrill him, or kill him. When we booked, we weren't sure about the dress code. South beach chic this is not. There are no taboos and anything goes for this Instagram-crazed mass of humanity. Bodies of all shapes and sizes peacock and promenade in ill fitting gowns, denim, jersey, and linen. New stiletto heels stumble on the large patio stones. Monopods and tripods allow these models to video themselves walking descending the stairs, walking around the pool, and posing (over, and over, and over) next to voluptuous urns within arms-length of a server delivering a tray of 8 giant hamburgers and a pizza to a sunburnt, oversized party of six in Disney World t-shirts. A sea of onlookers in sweats, shorts and flip flops gawks and glares. It is a bizarre spectacle, and quite possibly some of the best and funniest people watching I have ever seen. Setting aside the atmospherics... Greeters at the door lacked warmth, but check-in was easy. We were seated immediately. Service was attentive, polite, even friendly. The prix fixe lunch menu made ordering easy. Food came out quickly and accurately. The branzino was very good with a crispy skin, broccoli, and carrots. The octopus carpaccio had little flavor -- skip it. The filet met expectations. We enjoyed the profiteroles, cheesecake, and mango sorbet for dessert. Price was fair for portion and quality. In some ways it felt like a simple, catered meal. If, like Versace, you don't believe in good taste, If you're not blind and can find fashion everywhere, If you're repulsed by obligation, If you find the superficial profound, If you love to see clothes worn by rich, by poor, by everyone, If you believe that things should be more free and democratic, and, If you don't care about money, you just like to spend it... then Gianni's is the place for you. (Note: We would have liked to take a small group tour of the property to learn its history and appreciate the decor, but given the crowd, we found the pull to leave stronger than the pull to look around.)

Yes we found it confusing trying to check in for our reservation as the hostess was missing in action and a little cool ! Once seated our servers were inexperienced and things took time to warm up , but once we were in the hands of experience was great . The food was beautifully presented and tasted nice . Thank so for the photos !
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing - wouldn't recommend.
Alarm bells rang as we were "greeted" at the door by a hostess - No uniform of sort just shorts, a top and trainers and looked greatly unwashed who kind of shrugged and pointed for us to go through. We waited in the lobby area for a few moments before we realised others were being taken to their table who had entered after us, so we let ourselves known and were shown to our table. The venue is beautiful - that must be said. The music was weird for the venue - Think old school pop / wedding tune. It didn't really fit with the ambience I assumed it should have been for the brand and Italian cuisine. We were served water promptly and then waited 15 minutes with empty glasses and had to flag a waiter to take our order. We ordered champagne and food at the same time as could see service was extremely slow. Champagne was brought over without an ice bucket, but he did go and fetch shortly after. We never received a glass refill once throughout the night - we proceeded to fill ourselves with many many waiters walking passed and watching. The starter - fried calamari, prawns and zuccini was awful. Thrown on a plate and just tasteless. Worse than I'd expect in a 1* diner. Main - I was recommended the pasta in the cheese wheel. It was just that -Pasta with cheese. Very very bland. My husband had the Rib Eye steak that was mostly fat and again tasteless. The dessert - Thankfully was lovely! Chocolate melting ball. It was great to people watch -highly entertaining! If you must visit this place (never ever more than once), sit with a view of the stairs to watch the 100s of "influencers", highly entertaining if not mortifying. The prices really weren't high and unfortunately 20% already added to the bill for service. Which explains why the service is so terrible - as they get the 20% regardless. This was my first time ever, I actually wouldn't have left any tip.
Be the first to ReplyVERY Rude staff, poorly run and massively overbooked so be prepared to wait.
Rude. Rude. Rude. Clearly poorly managed they massively overbooked resulting in us waiting an hour before walking out as they refused to say how much longer it would be. The hostesses were rude and obnoxious & so was the manager. I explained it was our honeymoon, 1st night in Miami and my husband had s4 cancer and it was becoming too much of a wait as he gets tired. The hostess said oh the tablet is with someone else, I can’t check. I later realised whilst standing waiting for the manager that was just a ploy as several other people then complaining about wait, told the same thing. They had no empathy for our situation and when they refused to help I walked away and in that second I thought no I want to speak to a manager, we had a booking and it’s been an hour! As I turned around the hostesses were laughing! Clearly at me because as soon as I turned around they stopped! The manager came, bald guy, said he would check. 10 mins later I went to look for him and he was carrying on with his night! I said I thought you were checking! “ no we don’t have tables, 6 people ahead of us! A kind waiter tried to then offer a table as could see the issue and was stoped by the manager! Disgusting staff. No empathy or humility
