Ginza Sushi & Sake San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
Love Ginza! Everyone here is incredibly nice.
My usual go tos: Salmon Toro 10000000/10, Salmon Ponzu thing also 100000/10. They also have a scallop rice dish and it's incredible. Love it here!!!!!

Went for HH, sushi was decent quality and solid but nothing super noteworthy. Karaage was not great to me, it was a little dry and stringy rather than the thick and juicy pieces. Hamachi Kama was really good, there was a lot of flesh on the bone and tasted quite nice. We tried several of the rolls; fish quality was pretty decent and they had a good amount of options on the HH. Pretty good deal during happy hour and I'd go back to try some of the other rolls.

Discovered this place on Yelp while looking for places to eat for dinner in the Haight/Ashbury area. Luckily, my friends and I were able to go during their Happy Hour, where they had various selections of food to order at a discounted price. We ordered the following: - Garlic Edamame: An appetizer that never misses - Sashimi Tasting (1 order per person): We were served with Salmon, Tuna, and Hamachi with radish, fresh seaweed, and a shiso leaf. Very fresh and tasty! - Rock & Roll Roll: Contains eel and avocado drizzled in unagi sauce, very good! - Salmon Avocado Roll: Delicious! - Philadelphia Roll: Similar to the Salmon Avocado Roll, but also has cream cheese. Some other places put too much cream cheese, but this roll had the right amount! - Handrolls: I ordered the Spicy Salmon Hand Roll without Sriracha, but I kind of wished I ordered the Spicy Salmon instead for a little more flavor - Umeshu Fizz: Plum Wine with Yuzu Juice and soda, super refreshing and sweet! I would order this cocktail again We definitely took advantage of their happy hour which is 4-6pm on the weekdays, and we left the place with happy tummies. There was only one server working at the time we came, and she was so friendly and tried to accommodate everyone dining as best as possible. The sushi chefs were also very welcoming when we entered the restaurant. It wasn't super crowded when we went, and the inside has nicely decorated walls. One item I want to try next time is the Salmon Usuzukuri!
Best sushi bowl I've had in a while.
Great service. Ambience nice for a date night or celebration with friends!

I was suspicious when walked in but they surprised me very positively. Suspicious because it is kind of dark inside. But food are so delicious and unique. Our server is so pleasant and upbeat. I will definitely come back for more. You should try when you are in Haight Ashbury neighborhood.

friendly, but slow service so bring good company Food tastes great! Intimate and loud ambiance Thank you!
My sister and I came in on a whim after a show.
The service was okay, but it seemed like the person was still in training. The sushi was really fresh and the chefs choice sushi melted in the mouth. I will definitely come back again!
Food, service and atmosphere was Awesome.
Will definitely go back whenever I'm in San Francisco

Ate here after walking the neighborhood a bit with the family. The host and server were both pleasant, and appropriately attentive. I made a reservation, for which I had to email the restaurant and they email you back, sorta clunky. Food was very meh. Had three rolls and some gyoza. The gyoza were overcooked, and the rolls were not awesome. The kids were not digging them, and they usually love sushi. I was in the same boat, they were not good. We had the ginza roll, daduru roll (which was the best of the three), and I can't remember the third, but if they had either a spicy or crunchy tuna/salmon, it was that as that is the kids #1 choice. The place is spartan, little dΓ©cor, feels a bit dingy. I would not return, nor do I reccommend.

Walking in we felt comfort, something we always look for when dining out. The service was perfect which created a lovely ambiance. The food was great, we finish everything less than 10 minutes. Everything was savory with every bite. Coming back very soon.
Totally decent place for sushi.
Eaten here like 10 times. Exactly what you'd expect. Definitely more of a "I'm hungry" kind of place than a date place. Definitely good for groups.
The absolute best happy hour for this kind of delicious

The food was delicious and suitable for kids.
The inside dining was also very good. The service was excellent!
The outside of the restaurant doesn't look like much at all
The outside of the restaurant doesn't look like much at all but the food is fresh and authentic. Very attentive service and the food comes out very quickly. Great option for a no nonsense good quality, well priced, quick Japanese meal. Good sake options also.
Fantastic sushi - understated location for a great dining destination.
The selection and freshness of fish was amazing. Great experience - I had no idea it would be one of my best sushi meals Iβve had - itβs very understated.

It depends how far out in the future your reservation is. If you posted a reservation hat was 2 months out, itβs unlikely many people will view your reservation. It could also be that your reservation is just not desirable.
