Amazing! The views and garden were amazing! Food was full of Flavor! Cannot wait to head back with my Friends and Family
Be the first to ReplyWent last night with some friends.
Read yelp reviews first so made sure we weren't in dreaded tent. Service was great from hostess team to wait staff and ambience fabulous. Food so yummy. From regular menu: the snow pea salad and salmon tartar (2 orders) were our faves. Also loved the fingerling potatoes and my two friends thought the brussel sprouts were the best they had (I did not- but they were good.) We also tried the specials: Duck bao ( for me meh and the crab scallion pancake which we totally loved. My Manhattan was amazing (cheers to the bartender). All in with 2 cocktails, 1 nonalcholic drink and 7 small plates, bill came to just over $200, which I thought was reasonable for the amount we had. And the restaurant was beautiful. Living in Manhattan don't anticipate getting up there a lot, but when I am back in area will definitely revisit
Be the first to ReplyFood was 5 stars.
The salmon appetizer was one of those dishes where each bite was savored and enjoyed the entire 30 seconds it stayed on the pallet. The same for the beef entree. Duck was awesome but the duck wafers were extraordinary. Our only beef was an awful $18.50 sunday for dessert. It was pitiful and a fortune. If not for a 0 star dessert it cuda been a 5 star. Excellent friendly service and an intimate interesting ambiance. This place is a treat. Oh just expect over the top expensive cocktails and wine. ...but the food is not in my opinion a good fot for wine. Too spicey. Better to have cocktails.
Be the first to Replyawesome ambiance.
gorgeous decor. crab rice is an outer body experience. highly recommend

Great food, I will definitely be going back to get the crab rice. Don't be afraid to sit at the bar the service is just as good.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely loved every minute of dinner at Goosefeather.
The ambiance is quirky and beautiful at the same time. The service was excellent: attentive but not intrusive, and able to easily answer questions. And the food - ah! Fun to try lots of different specialties in tapas-sized portions. Every bite was just beyond delicious. Can't wait to go again. One note- it's pricey. No surprise for Westchester, but worth every penny.
Be the first to ReplyFood good, not amazing.
Expensive. Waiter lovely. Upon reserved arrival on cold night, was shunted into an outside porch like area that was cold and isolated despite tables galore in cozier spots. Asked to be changed and had to stand around waiting a long time for the teenage greeters to get us a new table. No reason for this at all. Waited awhile. No histrionics. Got a semi-decent table eventually. Meh.

Went for a large family dinner over the holidays and everything was perfection! A few of us ordered mocktails: Staying Alive-5 and Yuzu Nojito, one of which was commandeered by the 6 year old at the table it was so good. Unexpectedly bumped into some friends while we were there-- it's a trendy spot! Definitely recommend the shaved snow pea salad. We love the moody and clever ambiance mixing the traditional estate aesthetics with fun artwork and decor. Overall, a great night & will come again in the spring when we're back in town.
Be the first to ReplyIf I could give 10 stars I would.
The restaurant itself is in a beautiful old mansion house and it has so much character. To the food and cocktails. We stayed in the hotel attached for a week last year so we probably went through everything on the menu re food and cocktails. We even did brunch most mornings. Everything and I mean everything is delicious, both food and cocktails. If I could eat there every day I would. Special shout out to the Brussel Spouts side dish. They are unreal. Also forgot to mention the staff. From the moment you are greeted by the lovely front of house lady when you arrive, you know you are in for something special and the waiters and bar staff don't disappoint. So friendly and helpful
Be the first to ReplyNice setting but food is not worth the money.
The Kung Pao chicken with mochi waffles: good chicken but regular waffles would have been better. The recommended beef dumplings were inedible. Can't recommend in balance.
Be the first to ReplyGoosefeather is a beautiful experience which is well worth
Goosefeather is a beautiful experience which is well worth the (high) price. Settled on an estate in Tarrytown, the drive in is quite breathtaking. While it was a bit confusing finding exactly where to put the car, I can tell you that they do have a complimentary valet service. And service is one of the main features of this venue: from the hostess, to the waiters and managers, you will never be left feeling unattended to. From the moment you are seated, any number of staff will come by and ensure that you have anything available at your disposal--water, appetizers, menu items, access to amenities. While there is a hefty price tag attached, it is well worth it. The drinks are elegant and not underdone. The appetizers and food are sumptuous. If you are looking for an experience that is understated, this is not it--everything is incredibly flavorful and bold. Our must-try was the crab rice based on the rave reviews that I'd seen prior to our visit, and I can say that it did not disappoint; they did not skimp on the crab meat in the dish, and it the flavors felt balanced. Was anything to die for? No, I don't believe so, but the experience was wholly satisfying and it felt like the well-rounded treat that we were looking for.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing.
To begin the restaurant is beautiful. I loved the decor and aesthetic. Then we got to the food. Im in debt to the amazing chefs at Goosefeather for introducing me to shrimp toast. Might be one of my favorite dishes ever. I thought the meal couldn't get any better but then our birria ramen came to the table. Delicious! Cannot wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyGoosefeather has been sitting in my bookmarks for a while;
Goosefeather has been sitting in my bookmarks for a while; it wasn't a place I was particularly running to, but the photos and reviews looked good so I told myself if the opportunity presented itself I would make plans. Since I had a free Sunday and my brothers were looking for something to do, I thought this was a good chance to finally check this place out, so off we went. Run by Executive Chef Dale Talde, Goosefeather is located in Tarrytown - specifically in the King Mansion at the Tarrytown House Estate. From what I can gather, this is a historical house that has been converted to a hotel, restaurants, and catering hall space. This is not to be confused with Horsefeathers, which is another restaurant also in Tarrytown that serves pub-style food in a more casual atmosphere (this is me reminding myself not to mix them up). I did some reading up on the place before arriving, and learned that Esquire named this place the best new restaurant for 2020. Since the restaurant is in a historical house, the decor is warm and classic with a closed floor plan, darkish woods paired with lightly colored walls, and accents that give it an intimate aesthetic. Goosefeather's menu contains Cantonese cuisine, and is served Chinese Banquet style where dishes are meant to be shared and come out as they are ready. The menu was separated into salads, vegetables, dim sum, noodles and rice, and large plates. We started with drinks - I had the Selfish which contained notes of ginger and lime; it was tasty and smooth. We were also started off with complimentary ginger green tea which was excellent; it was mellower than other green teas I've had with a unique flavor that really warmed us up. For food, we decided to get the wok-tossed greens, dry-aged beef potstickers, supreme wontons, crispy shrimp bao, supreme rice, black pepper beef, and char siu Berkshire pork belly. Everything was delicious - it's almost hard to choose my favorites, but if I had to pick I would go with the dry-aged beef wontons, supreme rice, and the black pepper beef. The wontons had great flavor and were generously filled. The rice was excellent - it was described as a land, air, and sea collaboration and topped with a soft-boiled egg in addition to multiple proteins. The beef was super tasty - prepared well and paired with a really tasty sauce. I also need to mention the pork belly, as someone who's not really a fan due to the fatty nature of it, I was pleasantly surprised with its consistency and flavor. We had to get dessert, and we decided to split the mochi waffles, churros, and Goosefeather Sundae. These were all great - the sundae contained chocolate ice cream, a chocolate cherry brownie, and popcorn; everything balanced out really well. I also really liked the mochi waffle - it was paired with white chocolate, orange, and lemon ice cream; the bright flavors of the orange and ice cream effectively balanced the relative heaviness of the waffle and white chocolate. Service was excellent; food came out at a good pace, and everyone we interacted with was super friendly and attentive. Overall, Goosefeather was a yes - the food was delicious, the service was great, and it all came together to create a memorable experience. I would definitely return for another meal.

Very beautiful place, we celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Great service, great food and a compliment from the restaurant in the form of a couple of glasses of champagne, we were pleasantly surprised. If you own Peking duck, you should definitely try it here. And yes, the cocktails were great too. We will definitely come back and more than once.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing dinner at Goosefeather.
The setting, decor and food were all fantastic. We really lucked out as we were there for Lunar New Year Eve and received a special after dinner gift. I'm still think about the crispy wings and crab fried rice. The shrimp bao was delicious as well. I did not love the tea smoked salmon sashimi - was very salty for my taste. Otherwise a beautiful meal and I loved the Miro replica ceilings throughout.

The service and food were heavenly!!! This lobster and shrimp pasta and the brownie were DIVINE. The shrimp bao buns were just amazing. The special touch of messages was so cool especially during the lunar new year. Loved it.
Be the first to ReplyI wasn't very impressed with the brunch here.
Visited on a Saturday for brunch, party of 5, and was greeted very warmly by the staff and seated promptly. The venue is beautiful - vibrant decor. We visited during Lunar New Year weekend so there was a little extra something special to the decor. As for the food, it was okay. Our waitress told us the dishes were family-style, but only 1-2 of the entrees were sharable, but not enough to share for more than 2 people (which is not family style). The appetizers were all easy to share and they were tasty. We tried all the dumpling options and also the snow pea salad, which was good. The beef potstickers could use an actual sauce with it, not just the horseradish spread type thing on the side. Entrees we had the slippery noodles with mushrooms (a little too much vinegar?), the ramen(tasty), the burger(good) and the French toast (a little gummy in texture, but tasty). The only thing that really could be shared was the noodles and the French toast. The drinks were delicious though and strong. They have a bottomless drink option, if you're interested. All that said, I wouldn't go out of my way for brunch here again. It was a nice one time thing, but nothing to write home about.
Be the first to ReplyPlace way overrated.
Food very greasy salty and really heavily spiced. Quite a disappointing experience for a special occasion and not to mention pricey! Will not return or recommend. Couldn't even eat my left overs that were packed to take home. Threw away!
Be the first to ReplyMade reservation for 7pm, celebrating our anniversary.
Rude and curt receptionist said we could have our table 'when the table gets up' No view on honoring reservations and clearly no experience managing guests. Advice to owner, train staff or change out. We booked another restaurant and left.
Be the first to ReplyI would really give this place 4.
25 stars if I could. Here on a Friday night, I loved that it wasn't too crowded, ambiance was nice and service was friendly. We ate inside because it was so dang hot outside, and I loved the comfy feeling, probably due to being an older building and part of the hotel. We ordered the corn dish and the fingerling potatoes to start. The corn was fine, nothing to write home about, but the potatoes- I will be back for those. Just wow. Then we each got a noodle dish and they were both really good. Drinks were nice, and after dinner if you want you can grab another and sit on the lawn, where they have ample seating and a dj. Nice spot in Westchester for sure.
Be the first to ReplyI visited the big lawn at Goosefeather on a Friday night.
Seating was open and had a cool backyard vibe. There was DJ that night. He played a mix of music. There was a little bar cart to get drinks. We ordered the kung pao wings and black pepper beef. Everything was delicious. Our servers were attentive. It started to rain a little and we were provided umbrellas. The party didn't stop. We had a great time.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience & fantastic service.
We sat in the bar and drinks and food were fantastic. Pork Belly and duck were outstanding.Planning to go back and sit outside next month. It's a hidden gem & would highly recommend.

Beyond my expectations! Good food! Very nice ambiance and staff are nice! I would recommend this and I'm certainly going back again .
Be the first to ReplyTheir brunch menu is ridiculous.
They do not offer traditional omelettes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, American waffles or anything remotely edible from a breakfast perspective. The charge of 3.50 for two slices of mystical milk toast is as ridiculous as the charge for their microscopic mochi waffles. The menu was so rigid and the kitchen couldn't even put a grilled chicken breast on a salad. Don't know what the deal is with this place but I'd recommend going elsewhere for brunch. Maybe it's better for dinner. I don't know and I won't find out.
