Flaccid Pizza to avoid.
Lovely Saturday in Leeds, sat outside, sat at comfy looking chairs and tables, staff came over and asked if we were drinking or dining, we said dining and were directed to an area with picnic tables and chairs! Not an ounce of comfort. Ordered meatballs starter and pizza for me and meatballs and a chicken for my pal. Meatballs lovely, in a sparse but tasty sauce and cooked halved cherry tomatoes. His chicken looked devoid of vegetables but well cooked. My pizza looked ok, but was under done, you know the one, starts off all bubbly and chatty then defends into mush after a few minutes. If an ‘Italian’ can’t do a passable pizza they should throw in the towel. The meatballs and £7 pint of lager were actually the best bits. In the ‘Marry, Mistress, Avoid’ ratings this is definitely Avoid.

Beautiful restaurant, had a lovely meal with lovely friends! Really enjoyed our food it was absolutely delicious, the servers were the icing on the cake! Will be returning!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service
Excellent food and table service. I ordered the prawn started followed by the Scallop ravioli. Wonderful food, full of flavour. Service was very quick (was a Monday evening), only thing that let it down was it was noisier than most pubs! It might have been a one off, but judging by other tables reactions a very noisy group seemed to let themselves go a little too far. Still, was well worth the noise😃

Really nice decor but very average food and very average cocktails , was expecting it too be much better than it was if I am brutally honest.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful venue foods average
Beautiful venue can't fault it. However the service and food is average. I had the ravioli with prawns pasta was under cooked my sons girlfriends had the Ragu and the spaghetti was overcooked for an Italian restaurant cooking pasta correctly is a basic 👌

We booked online, no one at desk when we arrived, girl appeared (waitress, as she had tablet in bag on her shoulder )), we gave our name , she checked computer, didn’t speak or greet us, pointed to table in corner - set for 4 people !, .. it obviously wasnt meant for the 2 of us, she removed 2 settings & we sat in this ‘booth’ type table facing outwards! A young waiter arrived with menus, we ordered drinks- took ages, we had to remind him (ordering computer was beside our table)- he said ‘single gin wasn’t it ‘- we said ‘ double was ordered’! We ordered foods, starters came fairly quickly, mains took much longer - I orderd a glass of wine, again had to remind waiter as he passed by that wine had t arrived! Salmon was small, overcooked, v little veg- a few peas underneath it . Hubby had pizza- it was nice. It was a quiet Sunday evening so don’t know why service poor & fish overdone. A coke & latte finished the meal & waiter told us service fee included - bill came to 84 pounds! Over priced, poor service, won’t recommend this Italian cafe.

Booked for 7.30pm and was asked to wait as wasn’t sure if our table was free. We were then told we could go in and was shown to our table. We were sat there a while before anyone came to the table so I had to ask the waitress, Charlotte if we could have a drink. She came over to the table and apologised profusely that we had to wait but advised nobody had told her we were there. She was absolutely run off her feet as it was a busy service so I quite understood and really appreciated her apology. We ordered our food at the same time as the drink. Considering it was a busy service we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. We ordered tomato garlic bread to share which was delicious. Charlotte came over with side plates as we were not originally given them, how attentive was she. My daughter ordered the Fettuccine Ragu which she said was delicious and ate the whole lot. Not something she normally does! I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara. It was ok just a bit dry for me, could have done with more sauce. The portions are plentiful and too much for me so I could not eat it all but we are all different. When the waitress realised I had only eaten half she asked why so I explained and she kindly gave me a discount. I never expected this and no I didn’t say anything as I’m not one for complaining unless I really have to. I really feel for the chefs working so hard in a very busy service, especially a Saturday night. I have to say Charlotte could not have been more attentitive making sure we enjoyed our experience. Rushing round with a smile. She certainly is a credit to the restaurant. I will be back we had a lovely time thank you. Ps give Charlotte a raise….

Amazing food, fast service, great wine selection and the server we had was so lovely. Very professional staff. Nice to see an open kitchen. Pizza and pasta is 10/10

Been a few times as it’s local but never impressed with the food and latest visit was very poor. Soggy pasta, flavourless chicken and insipid sauce. Service and ambience always good but not even my 9 year old was happy with her pizza. To be handed an iPad at end of meal to leave a review felt like emotional blackmail. They need to care more about what they serve than how they serve it.

We visited on a Sunday night with our teenage children for my daughter’s birthday…. Meals were lovely and the restaurant has a great feel about it. Standout service from the waitress (from Liverpool) who organised a birthday dessert for our daughter and helped us when my daughter had lost her phone - she was lovely, really genuine and a credit to the restaurant. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyGusto Otley Road Leeds
Visited gusto on Otley Road last night. Have been twice before and food was acceptable but last night it was shocking. I chose lasagne it was smaller than a child’s portion, the tomato round the outside was dried up no cheese sauce just a stiff set like top wasn’t offered any Parmesan either it was diabolical worst ever it went back after two mouthfuls wasn’t offered an alternative but was taken off the bill and rightly so. Other guests food ok but not good portions for the cost of the food won’t be going again.
