Be the first to ReplyKnow their ridiculous rules in advance
The club gets packed, and if you arrive close to starting time you will be put in the very back corner and wonโt be able to see much at all, so get there early. It was very uncomfortable being packed so tight together with strangers. Another ridiculous rule is the fact that there is a two item minimum per person, and if you buy at their own bar right outside the room it doesnโt count as your two items. That is just crazy. Youโre already paying a ticket, have it be a one item min. or atleast count the bar! So ridiculous. We were also intimidated by the staff when we said it was a ridiculous rule, even when we agreed to do it since we couldnโt do anything about it. Treated very poorly.
Be the first to ReplyA larger room than you might expect from the street
The showroom seats 250 (close together) people. The sight lines are good and the stage area is very compact. My Hurricane tasted like chemicals and was disappointing. The staff is overly attentive, coming around many times during the headlinerโs set.

First and last visit. The comics with less than professional, it was like mic night, and the house staff demands that you buy four items of drinks or food. or they will charge you a penalty fee. The food was bad junk. Acoustics are poor, comics screaming into the mic. I could not leave quickly enough. Greatly disappointed. Do not recommend it. Can't believe that they have good honest reviews.

The whole experience was great, The person that works in the box office truly took care of my guest and I. Front row for all four shows.

We saw Esther Povitsky this past weekend for our first trip to Helium and had a great visit. The location has ample parking garages nearby and is in a great location. The club itself is smaller and you are definitely packed in there but it isnโt a real issue. Drinks and food were good, staff was friendly and the comedians were hilarious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Pro tip: drinks from the bar donโt count towards your two drink minimum even if you grab one on your way into the show.

Saw a late show in Philly this weekend. Made a last minute decision to catch the show and Iโm really glad I did! Funny and light atmosphere, professional staff, and great comedic lineups. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Philly, and if Iโm back in the area again Iโll definitely go to Helium for some laughs.
Be the first to ReplyNice venue, excellent service, terrible comics
2 drink minimum, crowded tables, no real COVID restrictions. The place is fine, service is good, maybe a bit pricey on drinks. The issue is the quality of the show. This is the second time we have come here and the talent is just plain boring. They arenโt funny. Sorry but there are Wayyyyyyyyyyy better comedy places in other cities. This show is certainly not worth $40 a head

My husband and I went to a comedy show here and we had a great time. The headliner was a comedian I really love, so that is subjective. The venue is not overly large, but small enough to have a great view of the performers. At our show, we had general admission tickets, so it is first come, first served. It is my understanding that you can buy a premium package with seating right up in the front. We arrived early, and had a drink at the bar. They had a nice selection of beers and cocktails, not cheap, but it is a city. There is a 2 drink/food minimum per person at the table. Our drinks were fine, but the food is meh. If you have the time, eat first, and have drinks here, or a snack here and dinner elsewhere. Other than that, great time

A quick get away found us at the Helium seeing Greg Fitzsimmons.what a great establishment! I bought the tickets online, knew exactly what to expect. If I had to suggest anything it would be to work on your cocktails. You have a nice menu and the prices are lofty, Why not make them the best they can be. Why would you make a hurricane and not put the juice in it? Mistake maybe? Work on this, when youโre are required to purchase two items... those drinks should be killer. Just my opinion.

We were there actually in Nov of 2016 and just never wrote a review. It was our first time and we loved it. The food and drinks were good considering everything. The seating was great and we didnโt even request where we were seated. My question is are we able to request that again when we arrive, it was behind the tables in the front but below the high tops in the back. Iโm unable to do high top tables. Canโt wait to visit again. Another nice thing was the parking was right there and couldnโt get any better!
Be the first to ReplyBetter Management Needed
It could have been a very good experience except for two things. At the venue (not online), I went to pay for the tickets, and they were going to charge me a ridiculous fee for simply using my credit card. I then paid cash to aviod the fee and complained to the lady. She said a lot of people complained about the fee. Well, management, listen to your customers! Secondly, at the event, the people behind us would not shut up. Twice employees went to these people asking them to be quiet - to no avail. What does it take to throw out people who are preventing others from enjoying the show?

If this is the standard of comedy in Philadelphia, I have 2 words, GET BETTER. I'd rather drive the 1.5 hours to NYC. What a disappointment. Sub par comedy...making fun of autistic people, really? Sub par food, sub par bouncers, sub par management. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Save your money
Be the first to ReplyGreat acts and good vibe overall
The venue was very spacious and the check in process was smooth. We were seated pretty quickly and shortly after we were attended by one of the clubs waitresses. I was impressed by the attentiveness of some of the staff at the venue and them making sure that we had enough to eat and drink while we were enjoying the show. The acts were hilarious and they did a great job in getting a diverse crowd of comedians into their show. Considering this was a last minute option my friends and I chose as a night out in Philly, I think it was well worth it.
