Came during the week, wanted to take the time to enjoy the Rose garden. Loved it.. the tea is good and flavorful. I can't imagine any of their teas being bad. What I had was earl grey crème and it was good. Service was awesome. She was polite and when she brought the champagne- which I forgot to tell her I didn't want - she was kind to take it back and brought pink lemonade that was good. Loved the ambience- hearing the birds perching.
Wow! So impressed with our tea experience.
Amazing food and they even had a wonderful vegan tea option that was so freaking delicious! I brought my 2 year old daughter and she absolutely loved it and they had a great kids tea service for her. The service was wonderful. We sat outside and the ambience was lovely! I can't wait to go back!!
If you haven't been to the tea room make a resy and go.
It's a delightful experience. I am a tea lover usually I'm not into pastries. I enjoyed almost all of the pastries on their vegan Huntington option. Rene & Juan were our servers. They took such good care of us. The ambience, food, and atmosphere were top tier.

Took my mom here for an early birthday celebration and also to just spend quality mother/daughter time. Tiffany was our waitress and she was perfect. So nice and easy to talk to, and very attentive. If you could ask for her when you dine here, I would definitely try. Food was o.k. overall, the teas were very nice, food was a bit hit and miss. I would recommend sticking to the Traditional Tea, the Huntington Tea has all the options the Traditional tea does, but they add in lobster rolls and Prosecco. The Lobster rolls were a bit bland, so in my opinion, not really worth the extra $13 per person. I would say the scones and the Devonshire cream, lemon curd, and orange marmalade were the best things on the menu. A few of the sandwiches were quite good (turkey cran salad sandwich & smoked salmon), everything else was just ok. I honestly didn't like any of the sweets-which was disappointing as I love sweets. It was a nice experience overall, you do get quite full with everything so I would suggest walking the grounds afterwards. I definitely recommend experiencing this at least once. We probably wouldn't do it again.

We came here for the rose garden and was delighted for the afternoon tea experience. My daughter really enjoyed her 1st afternoon tea experience. The service was excellent and really had a great time here. Highly recommend a walk to the Chinese and Japanese Garden while visiting the Huntington Library
First time visiting Huntington Gardens and the Tea Room.
What a perfect time to go since it's spring and all the flowers are in bloom. I recommend making reservations in advance. We made our reservations about a couple of months ago. I'm glad we did because there were a lot of walk ins and the wait seemed long. We got the Traditional Tea, Huntington Tea and the cheese board. The sandwiches were good. My favorite was the chicken salad sandwich and the lobster roll (only comes with the Huntington Tea). The scones were especially yummy. It really paired well with the Devonshire cream. There are three options of spreads. My favorite dessert pastry was the chocolate tart. The Prosecco was delish and one glass was enough. I really enjoyed my jasmine blueberry tea. There were so many options and I'm happy with my choice. We got the cheese board. The cheeses were yummy, but I wouldn't get it again because it was too much food in the end. Also, I can make a cheese board by stopping by Trader Joe's. Don't underestimate that the items are tiny and cute, but very filling and scrumptious. The ambiance is very modern and sleek. The bathrooms are gender neutral, but equipped with private individual full length stalls. We sat inside, but there were options both inside and outside. We sat in the room overlooking the herb garden. If the weather is nice then I'd recommend sitting outside. There is a shaded area for those that are sun sensitive. Service was impeccable. The hostess were friendly and welcoming. Efrain was our waiter. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure to note my allergy to fish. He and the other wait staff made sure we got hot water refills for our tea. He was very intuitive and made sure we didn't have to ask for anything. He was kind enough to take a picture for us and I saw him offering to ask another group if they wanted a photo. We were lucky to have Efrain as our waiter. Full and happy, we walked around the gardens. So beautiful this time of year. The weather was splendid. Don't forget to wear sunscreen or clothing to protect you from the sun! And wear comfortable shoes! Pro-tips: Make reservations. The earlier the better. You have to pay admission to get into the garden. Come with an empty stomach. Take a walk in the garden afterwards. Prices are steep, but worth it. I want to come back and bring my mom. It's a great way to feel fancy and celebrate special occasions.
Make reservations far in advance.
We came here in February and made the reservation in November. Given the hype, I would say it's overrated. The ambiance is nice, very esthetic, but that's where all your money is going towards. The food and tea itself is nothing too special. I can probably get similar items at another tea room for much less. People most likely just come here for the ~vibes~ and the fact that it's in the Huntington Library. It is indeed nice to take a break from all the walking around the garden though. If you have money to spare, why not.

We had a wonderful time! The tea room is lovely and our server Yasmín was so kind and attentive. It was my mothers bday so they also gave her a little cake. The sandwiches were good, not great but again my mom and I loved it. The deserts were not the best but I'm also a savory person. We got the higher great tea experience $75 each and it was filling. We both loved our teas (Aztec mocha and Winter Chai). Great memory and after we were done we walked the grounds. Great all day kind of experience! I will bring her back :)

I'm a member of the Huntington and have been excited to check out the new tea room. However, I don't see how anyone is able to get a reservation. I've checked on open table countless times and I've tried calling but no answer. The way they're set up on open table is frustrating because it doesn't show you next available. You have to click day by day, and even then it only shows within 2.5 hours of the time you selected so you have to check multiple times per day instead of seeing the red button pop up with a time(s). I figured I must be doing something wrong so I stopped in while visiting the gardens and asked the hostess when their next available weekend appt is. She seemed inconvenienced by this question and said she would have to click through day by day and asked what day I wanted to come in. I said any weekend day available. She said there were some weekday appointments but couldn't answer how far out they're booking. Eventually she said maybe a few months. I was surprised their hostess wouldn't know the next available appt at least generally since reservations seem like a key aspect of the job. I got home and checked again a few months out and nothing was available. I also checked weekdays and nothing.

AMAZING so fun and very yummy food! the service was excellent and the host was very welcoming. Cool ambiance.
I waited 4 months and it was not worth it.
The place is beautiful sure but the food was very disappointing. It looked beautiful but It tasted like the ingredients were low quality. Everything was very bland. Even the people next to me said they expected just more. The tea was okay honestly it wasn't even that great I can make a better cup at home. They kicked put half my party because they didn't want to eat anything they only came for tea and I guess that's not allowed so like whatever. Honestly I just wish the food was better. It was very expensive and just again not worth it there are other tea rooms in the same price range with beautiful atmospheres and better food. I wouldn't go here again. And I would urge anyone else not to go. I think the garden it self was pretty but again not worth 25 dollars for entry your better off going somewhere free like the getty.
Beautiful experience will come back for sure.
Delicious bite size sweets and savory treats
Make sure to book your reservation when the rose bushes are
Make sure to book your reservation when the rose bushes are blooming. Note that if you want to go during this optimal window of April and May then reservations are going to be more difficult to get on Open Table. The Tea Service is great to break up a day at Huntington Gardens and get some rest while taking in the views of the herb and rose gardens. It is definitely worth doing once. We probably only would come back with guests because the Tea Service is relatively expensive. I recommend going with the $62 for Traditional. We got one Traditional and one Huntington Tea ($75). The Huntington Tea adds an additional sandwich and dessert that were both okay at best. Note that this does not include cost to enter the Huntington Gardens so you also need to pay for admission on top of the Tea Service cost.
So disappointed.
Had been so excited to go the newly renovated tea room. It took nearly a year for the reservation. While the inside certainly looked nice, the service was minimal and the food average at best. They didn't even have Lady Grey tea....they had run out or something. But the biggest disappointment? The Huntington Tea Room decided to go completely coed in their bathrooms. Yes! You walk into the bathroom and have to do a double take as a man is at the sink or entering the bathroom stall next to you. It was the most unsettling experience I have ever had. I don't want to do my hair, apply my make up, or anything else with a man standing in the next sink over. So sad they made this choice.
Very disappointing - I loved the OLD Rose Garden tea room.
This remodel took away the old world vibe with ridiculous prices and just ok food. Service was great - the worst for me was the gender neutral bathroom, I am not sure who was more embarrassed, myself or the men in there, and it was NOT clean. I will not be going back
Beautiful setting, decent food, spotty service.
This was our second visit to the renovated tea room. Same experiences both times. Very nice overall but the service really needs tweaking. The hosts are just not very welcoming or even friendly. We arrived at our reserved time on the dot but waited over 15 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of tables. When we inquired the host sort of shrugged as though we were annoying her. Same experience last time. They really need to retrain or replace the host staff. The server, on the other hand, was very friendly and kind. We did feel rushed, and the check was plopped on the table before we finished eating. Overall, you go for the decent food and beautiful setting and try to ignore the service blips.
Overpriced, mediocre tea; terrible management
I went to tea at the Huntington Gardens' new tea house with 28 friends on Friday, December 15. The tea and snacks were fine overall: the Huntington signature tea is good, the rose tea is delicious, the earl grey creme is excellent, and the greedy tea with blueberry is very good. We had two varieties of scones: a weirdly sweet butterscotch scone that was not pleasant at all and a decent orange cranberry scone. The scones were served with fig jam, a too-sweet lemon curd, and chantilly cream (instead of the more traditional clotted cream). The sandwiches were fine. They were largely dry and mostly bread. The folks at the Huntington would be well-served visiting the Getty or other similar teas to see what the competition offers. (Spoiler alert: the Getty is far superior, at a similar price point.) The sweets were also just okay. And when I asked for honey for my tea (instead of sugar), I was brought out packets of Heinz. HEINZ HONEY. AT THE HUNTINGTON. For shame. The entire thing just kind of fell flat. We also ordered a cheese platter for $15, for which they used really basic cheeses and some dry toast. It was fairly disappointing. To accompany the tea, 4 of the 6 of us at our table ordered soup. The soup was on the thicker side and it was not particularly flavorful or well-seasoned. It just kind of fell flat. It was also not as velvety as soup often is. It looked and tasted like it was blended but not taken through a sieve. All of that said, we were there largely for the company of our friends and for the lovely scenery, so we wouldn't have docked the Huntington for any of the above were it not for what happened at the end. Even though we told the receptionist at check-in that two members of our party would not be able to attend (one was in the hospital and the other was with a friend who was dying of cancer), WE WERE CHARGED FOR THE TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT THERE. Better still, we were charged without notice, after they presented us with a bill that was correct for our table and did not include the two missing friends. So they made it seem like they were charging the right amounts, but when they brought our credit cards back, the charges were greatly in excess of what was on the bill they had brought to our table. This is because they had unilaterally decided to add not only the charges for our two friends who couldn't make it, but also for another table entirely. WHAT?! When we brought this to their attention, they became belligerent. The manager on duty, Gina, told us that we were "lucky" that they served us at all, adding that they did us a favor by accommodating our group. Nevermind that we reserved months in advance, and nevermind that they're in the business of ... serving tea in the tea room, and we weren't any different than the other guests at the tea room at that time. This clearly demonstrated to us what she thought of her job and the tea room at the Huntington. So much for customer service, and for decency. I don't recommend the Huntington, I don't recommend the overpriced, mediocre tea service, I don't recommend the Tea Room, and I absolutely do not recommend Gina. I do recommend baking classes for the Tea Room, and I recommend classes on customer service for Gina and anyone of her ilk. No thank you.
Good and bad
It was a pleasant experience, the food was good and the tea (Huntington blend) delicious. But it is very expensive and one of the main problems is that "Open Table", the website for reserving a table, DOES NOT WORK. We came and had a table just by chance. We wanted to reserve and come back with our grandson. It was impossible to reserve a table, even in one or two months!
There's room for improvement
If the Huntington's tea room weren't at the Huntington, I'd give it three stars. I'm adding the extra star because being able to walk around the gardens and galleries before and after tea adds immensely to the experience. I had tea at the Huntington yesterday with two of my sisters-in-law. We were seated in the Herb Room very close to our reservation time. Our server, Yasmine, was attentive and enthusiastic, as were others who added hot water to our tea pots and cleared dishes. Our tea was excellent. Unfortunately, these pluses were balanced by some big minuses. The Herb Room was very cold, loud and plainly decorated. The food was ok but not great, and the experience wasn't worth the price. (We got the cheaper alternative, with no Prosecco, and with tip it cost about $80 per person.) I wish that the Huntington would release more tables to reservations. Reservations are nearly impossible to get. (We had gotten lucky that one had opened up a few weeks ago.) There were lots of people who'd walked up to the tea room entrance asking if there was space for them, and then they milled around the echoing lobby as they waited. Many were dressed in t-shirts and shorts, which made the tea room experience seem a bit less special. I've had tea at the Huntington many times over the last 30 years, so it's sad to see that the newly-remodeled tea room isn't all I'd hoped it would be. But I think that these points are fixable, and I hope the Huntington is paying attention.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
