It's lost it's spark
I used to take clients here often for lunch and dinner and was always very pleased. Went last night and was sorely disappointed. The life has gone out of this place. Decor looks shabby. Italian waiters are gone. And the worst was the food was uninspired at best and the lasagne inedible- reheated too many times, rubbery noodles, odd sauce. It's a shame really.

My wife and I enjoyed our second amazing meal at i Trulli's outdoor dining. There was a lot of space between the tables and the food (including Nonna Dora's home made pasta) was amazing, as usual. And we enjoyed the house Massaferrato Rosato wine.

I Trulli is a lovely Italian restaurant in New York City. The food and service are fantastic. A fireplace makes it cozy and a terrific location for a romantic or special evening. There is a glassed in garden area in the restaurant too. The menu is varied with a nice wine list. Very nice

Excellent food (not just the handful of staples of ‘Italian’ cuisine in NYC), particularly the pasta. Cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Warm, highly professional service. Food reasonably priced, wines less so (and too many listed wines not in stock).

My wife and I visited New York for a short weekend trip and we stopped by before going to a show. We were early and one of the first in, but we were rewarded by being able to talk with the owners and had great personalized service. We took advantage of the Restaurant Month special and asked for there wine recommendations with each course. We both loved the food, was very well executed and presented. The wines were wonderful and we even went across the street to the wine shop and bought a bottle to take with us. Put this place on your list to visit, worth the visit.

Highly recommended the best chicken parm I’ve ever had he had a seafood linguini dish we both loved each other’s entrees and we shared a smaller portion of rabbit ragu it was so good we were hesitant at first but glad we tried it. The service was the best the owner & host chatted with us a bit which showed they truly take pride in how customers are treated. I wish I could get the message to the host we went to see Beetlejuice after it was really good and he should go see it.
We would definitely be back here! Thank you for making my birthday special.
A very delightful experience with good food and service
We had a wonderful meal. We ate Italian style sharing courses of the rabbit orichiette and the salmon. The latter was less exciting but good. Over all our meal was very good and worth another visit. The service was excellent, The wine list is comprehensive and reasonable priced.

We were in New York City for a short visit with friends and this restaurant was recommended while we were visiting their winery in Italy. Absolutely a great experience. Awesome wine list and homemade pasta that made us feel as though we were back in Italy. Great service! Highly recommend the Pistachio Ravioli.

This is a decent Italian spot in midtown that always provides mix results. Some meals are fantastic and some are mediocre. I have had the rabbit ragu and it was filled with small bones that was more like a treasure hunt than a nice meal, but their pasta is typically top notch. Wines are expensive (way overpriced), so keep it in mind. Overall, it is a 6/10.

We heard about i Trulli featured on a tv segment with home made pasta by a lady doing it there for 30 years so we dined for our 13th wedding anniversary.
Started with mussels in white wine sauce. About 10 did not open. The kitchen should have removed them.
Entrees were ravioli stuffed with ricotta. A nice size serving but there were almost no ricotta. Some of the ravioli were flat. I've eaten supermarket frozen ravioli many times better stuffed with ricotta.
My husband ate the pasta special of a homemade version similar to tortellini stuffed with truffle artichoke on a delicious sauce. There were only eight. That size portion would have been ok as appetizer but not main entree.
We chose desserts which were very good of chocolate tart with expresso gelato, 3 different gelatos of kiwi, mango and raspberry. Third dessert was tiramisu. See attached photo. Service was excellent. Very attentive personnel. The bill was doubled what it should have been for the servings we received. Very disappointed.
