Was there for the second time. It's improving but still needs more improvement.
Me and my family got two rooms, one with queen separate beds and the other king-sized bed. The rooms are big enough for you and your family to gather around and at night or even sit on the comfortable armchairs and sofas. And enjoy the view from your windows. The higher your floor you're in, the better the view. Make sure your rooms are near each other because if there are two separate corridors (like room 20 to 70), it might be a 3 to 5 minutes walk. The rooms are provided with kettle, Nespresso machine, Nespresso capsules, Nescafe decaf and normal, sugar(brown and white). The bathroom also has a hose and bidet a bathtub and a shower and two bathroom sinks. They also offer toothbrush, cotton swabs, sanitary bags, shower caps, and cotton pads. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion are in big containers, and you can use them during your whole stay. They did a great job by changing the containers to these big ones because it's helping the environment. The blankets and duvets are soft and perfect, but sometimes, they are stained. The same goes with the towels. You can find stains on them. (Coffee stain on my robe) The water temperature and pressure are awesome. The pool is awesome it's cool and big and also extremely clean. The staff are perfect and friendly. The breakfast in the main restaurant is good but the other two restaurants can get a lot better. They are not provided with the same foods, breads, or even the same cheeses. In the end, they get a thousand Dhs from you as a deposit. If you give dollar's, they return in Dhs, and they give you lots of 10s and 20s, which really is a problem if you wanna exchange and go.

Lack of basic information/transparency and rude reception team let down an otherwise enjoyable stay.
Here is a tip for the hotel… if you do not care what your guests think, do not ask them “how was your stay” when checking out. I am not a serial complainer and would not have offered my views on my issues had I not been asked “how was your stay”. When I was asked and proceeded to explain why our stay fell a little short of basic expectations I was interrupted three times by the receptionist tapping on the bill presented to me and being asked to sign it off in a dismissive manner. My issues: Upon checking in when asking for clarification on what was included in our half board package the receptionist told us in no certain terms that soft drinks / coffees were NOT included with meal times. I was also left with the impression there was no way of upgrading this package as I had asked this question specifically upon check-in. This information had a direct impact on our stay as we made some decisions on where and when to dine based on this and incurred extra costs because of this. Based on the above I spent the first day of dining drinking water at meal time to avoid extra charges! It was therefore rather surprising (a welcome surprise) that when we enquired with a member of the cafe team the next day, they revealed all soft drinks, coffees, etc were included. The staff were extremely attentive at replenishing these once we were made aware. On my final night I also enquired about alcohol as no one had mentioned this despite asking several times about it. I was informed upon asking for a beer I could pay 100AED to upgrade my evening meal to happy hour with unlimited drinks for 2 hours. Again this information was not provided anywhere and would have again affected my decision making during the course of my stay. If you want something here, it seems you have to not only ask, but ask the right person! I’m not sure if it’s a deliberate lack of transparency or just lack of basic information/communication. Similarly we paid for a taxi to the mall when there is a free daily shuttle which doesn’t seem to be advertised in the hotel. Again not a big thing but impacted us financially. Lastly, an issue I suppose more with our agent. The kids pool is out of action, which we were unaware when we booked. I had read reviews that previous customers had been offered 1 hour of soft play as a small token of compensation. We never were offered this however another family I spoke to had been offered this upon check-in. Again it seems don’t ask, don’t get. The positives of our stay were the Market Cafe team who were extremely friendly, especially with our toddler. They went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and kept us replenished with drinks. There is a decent selection of food and different themed nights although some nights are hit and miss. The concierge and door staff were all very attentive and courteous, and also special shout out to Jung the indoor pool lifeguard who was extremely friendly and helpful. I look forward to the Chat GPT generated response from the hotel... At least it will be more understanding and less dismissive than the Front of House team!
Very warm hospitality.
We have been almost every year for few days, it is a great feeling to see the same staff are still around and they have good recognition. Fruits and sweets were at the room. All staff amazingly friendly. Specially Mr. Shadi who was at reception upon checking in and also at restaurant during dinner. Also thanks to Cathy who was serving our table with big smile all the time.
Exceeds Expectations
The hotel building and facilities are amazing, but what makes this hotel stand out is its staff. From the moment you arrive there is always someone available to help and guide you throughout the hotel. The poolside staff (especially Alexander and Kamal) are the best I’ve come across in all my years travelling. There is building works currently on the go to improve their facilities but it does not disturb you in your relaxing. The hotel is a bit far out from the main Dubai centre but there is plenty of taxi’s and they are safe and not expensive.
AMAZING Service, Fantastic Hotel
My husband and I have travelled to Dubai six times since 2018 and we always stay at Grand Hyatt Dubai for part of our two-week holiday. The customer service is second to none, the hotel and swimming pool are my faviourite of all the places we've stayed in the world and the price is very reasonable (especially compared to other 5 star hotels in Dubai). The staff go above and beyond on a daily basis and there is not one fault I can find with Grand Hyatt. We LOVE this place.

Major construction ongoing
Nice hotel and really well run. Food choices are excellent in particular Wok and Indian areas. Great staff, good food and ambiance. Our visit was in Ramadan so we enjoyed the hotel food a few times. Breakfast is also excellent with lots of choice. Biggest negative was the pool area that due to building work ( new “water park “) has been shuffled up so patrons are cramped with sunbeds side by side in a restricted area. The noise is also annoying as the pile driver was quite active. Think work finishes in 2026. Pool staff were very attentive with lots of nice touches such as glass cleaning.

THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE STAYED AT - GRAND HYATT DUBAI
I travel internationally often for business and leisure. The Grand Hyatt Dubai is by far the best hotel i have stayed at in all my travel. They have the most helpful staff and the hotel itself is beautiful. The food served at breakfast and dinner was nothing short of amazing. I would like to make special mention of the concierge Roshan who went out of his way to make our stay extra special. Thank you for being a superb host. Your warm hospitality made my family feel very comfortable and at home. A special mention about Sridhar and Manoj who made the breakfast and dinner experience very special. They were super hosts and attended to our every need. Well done on your exceptional service. The Hyatt has the most hospitable and welcoming staff you will ever experience. Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
