Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria New York Reviews from The Last Year
We held our son & daughter in law's wedding rehearsal
We held our son & daughter in law's wedding rehearsal dinner for 45 family & friends. The food, service & atmosphere were amazing! They couldn't have been more helpful. So many food choices and all were great! Thanks!!

Found this place by visiting their home decor store where Oscar told us we had to stop in for a cozy evening. Which it was! For not being open for more than a year, this place is incredible. Good vibes, delicious meats, and great wine. We started with the Chilled 2022 Due Uve and had the house selection of Salumi Della. Top meats: Bresaola and Piccante. Our waiter who we didn't get the name of (I think it was Simon) was the perfect mix of attentive but not overbearing. He hooked us up with a couple slices of Geit Smaak cheese, which was very thoughtful. Definitely making this place a priority the next time we pass through!

I had dinner with a friend at Il Bucio Alimentari on a Wednesday night, and the place was packed. Definitely make a reservation or be prepared to wait. My friend and I sat at the bar which was a nice spot to chit-chat with the bartender and have our drinks refilled quickly. There were so many tasty options on the menu, it was tough to choose what to order. We ended up getting the crispy artichokes, baby carrots, pappardelle and the off-menu pizza with pepperoni. The kitchen will make pizzas (off menu!), and I believe the choices are margherita and pepperoni. This was way too much food for two people, but we were paralyzed with indecision. I really enjoyed the pappardelle, and that would be my must-order. The server was friendly and helped me find a wonderful glass of wine.
5 stars for "little" Travis, the incredible sommelier.
We came here for a special birthday and my spouse arranged a bottle of champagne and other pairings beforehand. "Little" Travis was by far the most responsive service professional, made sure that the dessert and other surprises were arranged properly, and helped select other wines. It was a great dinner but the alcohol service was a huge highlight.

I don't like to be too liberal with my 5 star reviews but my experience dining at Il Buco Alimentari last night was a 5 star experience for my friend and me, so 5 stars it will be. First of all, even if you don't want to have a full dinner, the most perfect 5 star experience here is to meet a friend for a drink and order a plate of the fried artichokes appetizer. They are not breaded, they are simply pared down of their husk-like outer leaves and left with the more tender inner leaves and the heart. These are then deep fried and served with a sprinkle of parsley and fresh lemon wedges. They might be one of my top ten favorite bar snacks. The tender leaves become like artichoke chips in the frier and then you get to the delicious heart at the center. Definitely a top ten bar snack. After our delicious artichoke experience, we moved on to dinner. I ordered the Bottarga Spaghettini with peperoncino, parsley and lemon. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the bottarga, dare I say, is a superior understudy of Parmesan Reggiano. It is shaved on top of the pasta, just as Parmesan would be but it doesn't melt so provides texture and the same amount of saltiness but with a very subtle fishy flavor augmented by the pepperoncino for a minimal kick of spice. It was a perfect plate of food. We were quite full after the appetizer and the pasta since we basically licked our plates, so we just ordered two fruity sorbets - strawberry and mango. It was the perfect finish without putting us over the top so we could still enjoy a nice stroll home on a beautiful night without having to be rolled down the street. If you ever want to meet a friend for a drink, stop by for a plate of fried artichokes to share and you will be very pleased with yourself.
Everyone's great! Recommend the artichokes and pasta! Great

My go to restaurant when I'm in NoHo, aways going to get a top notch meal here. Make sure to make a reservation because this place gets booked up quick.

A pretty casual Italian restaurant that features fairly traditional Italian food with a menu that ranges from well-beaten path to a not-so-standard options. Wine menu has plenty of options though I'd like a few more bottles to pick in the sub $100 range. The restaurant out front feels almost like a to-go counter/market with while the back features larger tables. Our server walked though the menu well, however, service was a little slow the day I went. On to food, for antipasti the fluke ceviche was great. The pasta dishes are cooked very al dente and were executed well. If you like lighter pastas I strongly recommend the dish with bottarga (cured fish roe). It's an awesome dish that lets the ingredients and technique sing. The secondi dishes were OK, the smoked duck was excellent, however, the monkfish fell a little flat and was verging on being burnt. I like this restaurant, but it feels a tad too expensive for what was otherwise a fairly casual Italian dinner. Think I'd come here again if I'm in the area but I wasn't particularly wowed by anything.
One of my top ten restaurants in nyc for sure.
Always go here with my family and it never disappoints.
First off, the reservation made it seem like you were
First off, the reservation made it seem like you were sitting in the kitchen area or having some sort of kitchen experience. We were at the bar area. The bartender/server was friendly but we had to ask 3 times for our bread service. The menu doesn't have the pizzas on it so we assume that a "secret" menu? The couple sat next to us ordered a pizza and you can see the pizza oven but apparently you need to either know the server to get one or ask about the pizza? Not sure what else is on the unknown menu. Be warned, the carbonara is only on the brunch menu so we were very disappointed. I ordered a glass of wine that the bartender helped me choose. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and accommodating to find what you like. We ordered the crispy artichoke, cacio e pepe and cavatappi; all were very tasty. We ordered the flour less chocolate cake and the trio of gelatos. The cake was very rich but tasty. The gelato was lackluster and melted quickly. Overall a decent meal but nothing that would make me go back. I'm interested if the original restaurant is better.

We went for the Feast of 7 Fishes on Christmas Eve. Advertised online price was $125pp. Price on menu once seated- $150pp. The wine list was outrageous. Bottle of red wine $95. The portions were minuscule. First course mussels-one each, fried codfish pieces-, enough for 2 small pieces each. Pasta with seafood- pasta good, but pieces of lobster, scallop, calamari were TINY. , The steamed sea bass- one for 2 persons, and sautéed cabbage, also one side per 2 persons .One dessert per 2 persons. TOTAL RIPOFF. we won’t be going back
Hope you know someone
Good, ambience and food good to very good. But told no pizza on menu (a reason we came based on website) - but table next to us were able to order it??!? Apparently a place where who you know matters - no real explanation just a lot of clueless looks and responses. Not ok.
Lovely spot for wine and cheese
We stopped here for an afternoon snack of delicious wine and cheeses. We sat outside and had a lovely time. Our sommelier Traverse did a beautiful job pairing our cheese with the wine he suggested. We sat outside, but the inside was lovely.

Perfect experience with a group of colleagues. Everything, from the ipa, the appetizers, the maincourses, both fish, meat, veggie and pasta wer just delicious. The restaurant itself has also a very nice vibe to it and is apparently across the street of the Ghostbuster building, the only thing that could be a little better is the selection of wines by the glass.
Lovely Italian restaurant with very good pasta but high prices. Service was adequate snd portions were fair but wilflybo
Being treated fur fathers dsy and good was quite gf but very inflated irises. Pasta was point on snd servers . The room Isxwuuitr nice snd decor is excellent. They also tried hard but to me it was way overpriced. Additionally they sell meats, cheese snd other good items to go.

Hey Fluffy, thanks for all the questions :-) We do review every appointment or reservation and encourage customers to rate their seller after transacting to minimize issues like that. But nothing is perfect and should that ever happen you will be able to tab a button "Report a Problem" next to your reservation listing in your Portfolio and the AppointmentTrader Money Back Guarantee will kick in.
