IPPUDO BERKELEY Reviews from The Last Year
Super solid ramen, always pleasant.
For the price, I expect this; if it was a bit cheaper I'd go here much more often. It's also a chain, which makes me feel ...interesting.. about the price, but on the whole reasonable. Their broth is flavorful and rich but portion sizes are not huge for the price. Ambience inside is quite nice, and they seem to spend a lot of money on fancy napkins to complete the vibe, that are unreasonably thick. :)
Some of the best vegan ramen I've had.
I had the veggie akamaru ramen and portion was perfect for me - not too large and not too small. The broth was rich, creamy and savory. Will definitely be going back there

Surprisingly really good ramen! It's rare to find ramen spots with veggie options/chicken options that don't exclude all the good flavor. Definitely will be having again!

Pretty good ramen! A little on the pricier side for what you get, but they do have some interesting menu items. They're usually pretty quick with service. It can get a little crowded, but you get seated quickly. I usually opt for the spicy ramen or the modern ramen. Both are good!

I'be been there a few times and really like this place! The broth has good flavors. Slightly expensive for the portion. I really like the toppings in the ramen.
A little over $50, not including tips, for two people.
Not the ideal price for Ramen, specially when the broths were either too salty or tasteless and the $12 buns were done in two bites. Berkeley is more expensive compared to their other locations. Earned a star because at least the server was nice and patient. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again unless they're the only ones open and I'm very hungry.
Finally had a chance to check out Ippudo.
drove to Berkeley on a rainy monday afternoon (president's day weekend), originally supposed to visit Gregoire but decided to look for ramen spot. Thought of Ippudo but honestly wasnt hoping to get seated but when we got there, the restaurant is not busy (and it was free parking bec of the holiday, score!). We were seated right away on the two people table w menu already on the table. I love the little box they have next to the tables to put your personal belongings. After a few mins, our server came by to take our order. We ordered the 3 buns (pork, chicken and shrimp), shishito peppers, negori sake, green tea, veggie akamaru w onsen tamago (for me) and akamaru modern w tamago (for the bf). Experience review: After about 10-15 mins we noticed that the table behind us who got there after us got their ramen first. We started wondering why and maybe server saw our body language or overheard us so they came to our table to let us know they were having a problem w the fryer so they will serve the ramen first. We were fine w it but then a few mins later the buns came and shortly after the shishito peppers did. I wouldve preferred to let us know sooner about the delay but oh well. Besides that, the service overall is great. Food review: The buns were okay - nothing special about them. I had the shrimp and it was just fine and my boyfriend said the pork was just ok. The chicken we had to take to go. Can probably skip this next time. The shishito peppers were delicious. It came w lemon wedge and this dried powder umami seasoning? I cant pinpoint what it is but we sprinkled it on the peppers and it tasted so good! Now the star of the show is the ramen. My ramen was delicious, broth is great, the onsen tamago def nice touch, the noodles are bouncy af and the red seasoning thats on top was bomb!!!! I def wish there's more of it (order extra of this!). My bf said his ramen was also delicious - broth and noodles are amazing. We both finished our ramen and we normally dont when we go to other places. All in all great food and good experience! Would def comeback next time were in the area for their ramen and shishito peppers.
Wonderful service.
Really nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Bit short staffed during dinner hours but they make an incredible effort. Bit of a wait to get seated but food comes fast, no reservations. MUST GET: PORK BUNS. All the steamed buns are insanely good. I would make a meal out of them if they weren't as expensive. My picks: - AKAMARU MODERN - KARAKA SPICY Karaka spicy is not really spicy. Both taste really good. Seems like they started charging extra for the egg ($3) but still one of the best bowls of ramen I've had. Very nice soup based, not overwhelmingly heavy or rare.
Added ourselves to the waitlist to be seated.
No biggie. When we got offered our seating it was at the "BAR" (really the takeout prep table) we took it thinking it would be the same service as the tables. We got our order placed in a timely manner but the person taking our order was also double maybe triple duty on take out orders and checking on tables because after our order was taken barely saw her again. She also didn't write down our order as if she could remember ours plus the ten other things she was juggling.. well whatever happened it took 45min to get our order and that was after asking about it 30 min in! I mean two bowls of ramen and fries??? People seated after us at tables got their food before us. Don't ever sit at their so called "BAR". The Ramen was fine but the truffle fries were burnt, we didn't pay for them! They also came out halfway through us finishing the Ramen. All in all terrible service, I get if they were understaffed but we're literally facing the food prep~ hostess stand ... hard to miss checking on us.

Ippudo Berkeley was one of my first ramen experiences, and it's been pretty hard to beat since. While it's on the pricier side, Ippudo is tasty and consistent. This location is a little busy, so service is sometimes a bit slow and the ambiance is a bit loud, but neither warrant giving less than a five-star review. While they're $6 per, be sure to try an Ippudo bun!

I don't think anything hits harder after a long flight then a nice spicy bowl of ramen This location is on Berkeley's campus so parking was a little bit difficult during Sunday brunch. We got really lucky and happen to get a spot right in front of the restaurant. The service at this location has always been on point. The wait staff are kind and made sure my modifications were noted and correct. I'm not a huge ramen lover because of the thin noodles, so being able to sub the thin noodles for the thick wavy noodles was a game changer. The restaurant is decorated nicely with lots of tables for all party sizes. As a non-ramen lover, whenever I do crave ramen, I always find myself coming back to Ippudo Berkeley.

The ramen was very tasty - my boys and I all finished our bowls. The atmosphere was enjoyable and service was fast and courteous!
We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon.
Parking was a bit of a hassle if you want to park around the restaurant. We ended up parking at the Allston Way Parking Garage which is about three blocks from the restaurant. The restaurant was busy when we got there so we waited around 10 minutes for a table. Staff were nice and food was good but pricey. Ramen was $17, chicken Karaage was $13 and 3 pork bun was $16.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

How to list a Nobu Malibu reservation
Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Give the best answerConcierge change fulfillment time
I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

Give the best answerApp
This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
