Ippudo Cupertino Reviews from The Last Year
I've been to the sf location couple of years ago and it
I've been to the sf location couple of years ago and it didn't leave quite the impression but they have revised the menu for sure and it's quite amazing. I had the veggie buns and the akamaru. My partner had the karaka spicy veggie ramen. I love loved the ramen and the noodles were so fresh and soft and melted in my mouth. Very friendly service. Premium pricing for the quality and the taste. 10/10 the cupertino location had a good ambiance. I remember the sf location being slightly more fancy.
I felt like the ramen here was pretty normal.
It was average with how the flavors and broth tasted. The spicy was overpowering the ramen and the broth did not feel like it had much flavor. The only good part was that the ramen noodles were cooked to al dente. There were not many toppings compared to other places and it was a bit pricey for the bowl. I didn't have to wait for a long time for a table since I had come earlier to beat the crowd for dinner time. The service was pretty fast; they took my order and brought out the bowl right away. The restaurant itself was pretty small so there are not that many tables. I would recommend coming early if you don't want to have to wait for a table.
[Food] - Bushi Harmony Ramen ($20): Seasonal limited item.
The ramen version tastes similar to the tsukemen version but a bit lighter in flavor and more milky. Ramen noodles are nice and bouncy. - Bushi Harmony Tsukemen ($20): Seasonal limited item. I personally like this more as the thick dipping broth is flavorful, not too salty, and one of the few similar flavor profiles as Tsujita Sawtelle in LA that I've tried around the Bay Area! I asked for some lemon and added to the last half of the broth and I'm in love! I wish this could be a permanent dish on their menu! Also the tsukemen is the only dish you can't get to-go, dine-in only. [Service] - Friendly, helpful, fast - No wait on a Friday at 12pm [Ambiance] - Decent amount of seating [Overall] - Would come back again! - Although I enjoy their usual ramen menu, I usually like to wait till they have their limited tsukemen. I've tried their Hakata Tsukemen before but I personally love the Bushi Harmony version more! - This review is solely based on their seasonal items, not their usual menu items
I'm going against the grain here.
Yes this place is expensive but the food is actually good. The ramen was flavorful and well cooked. The pork was slightly chewy but tasted great. The broth was excellent. The chicken karaage appetizer was well cooked and had a lot of flavor. The pork bun was slathered with too much sauce and the chicken bun had tons of mayo. I don't recommend these. The service was friendly and efficient. The decor was pretty much like the restaurants in Japan.
Really good ramen.
Even for vegetarians. Tasty and hot. I had it with the spicy options. Good selection of sake. Limited beer selection. Fast service. Good ambience. It gets crowded. Weekdays may be better.
Update is, the water glass was always very high quality
Update is, the water glass was always very high quality tasting water too. The Japanese ocean water decoration is all very beautiful and nice to enjoy. Reminds of Murakami (I personally dislike Murakami greatly because I feel as a female artist he is a little bit creepy for young female characters, but reminds) and the art is like Hokusai (Japanese painter who painted great ocean pictures, has a color sense as good as Van Gogh had especially he can always pick the best blue and white pigment, and who could even paint on a grain of sand). The plain yet warm sand desks are comforting to hang around, the solo seat section is always good, they have good ability to people watch for clients who are introverted and like to people watch and ability to play as a group for clients who are extroverted who like to drink and talk in a group. It is very good and always busy, but lately the quality of the bowl has been lessened and become too sweet like maple syrup and pork based, and it is very expensive so I have stopped coming. I think with the tech boom and fact rich people seem to not tip at all lately, the cooks and service staff may have become fed up. I do not blame them. Please tip and make them happy so they can make me happy, thank you. I am not very rich yet, so I do not think I could go cheer them up all the time and eat a lot at Ippudo.
I ate the whole bowl of Veggie Shiromaru! The broth is made
I ate the whole bowl of Veggie Shiromaru! The broth is made of Ippudo's mushroom infused broth created from an exclusive Japanese soy milk, with Tokyo-style thick wavy noodles, tofu, scallions, and seasoned bamboo shoots. Sooooo good. Slurped up all of the broth too. Added a Olsen Tamago. Service is excellent- friendly and prompt. I will definitely eat here again when in Cupertino. Inside is modern and decor is creative.
We tried Ippudo when we were traveling in New York
We tried Ippudo when we were traveling in New York pre-pandemic and weren't wowed; I distinctly remember thinking I preferred Ramen Nagi. But we came here again on a whim and were able to get seated at the bar right away even at 6:30PM on a Saturday night. I ordered the classic tonkatsu ramen and opted for the thicker noodles. I loved the pleasant chewiness and the pork based broth was flavorful without being overly heavy or fatty, as some tonkatsu broths can be. I devoured my entire bowl and briefly contemplated whether to get an extra order of noodles but showed restraint since my ramen was already $15. My husband for the spicy tomkatsu ramen and loved it; I tried a few bites and can confirm it was delicious. He said it started to taste pretty spicy after awhile though so it's not for the faint of heart. His ramen was $19, and he also decided to go all out and get the "treasure" topping, which included extra chasu, nori, tamago, and bamboo for $8. (Hey, if you manage to swing a date night out without the kids, you gotta enjoy yourself amiright?) The ramen here is pricey but after having attempted to make ramen at home, complete with all the toppings, I can assure you that good quality ramen and the variety of toppings is an intense labor of love and I'll gladly fork over my hard earned cash to pay someone to make it for me. With that being said, Ippudo is one of the best I've had and it's definitely worth a try if you're a ramen fan! Bonus: there were many vegetarian ramen options on the menu, which surprised me given that there's usually only one vegetarian ramen.
Fantastic ramen, Alex was great.
Very modern atmosphere and fast service. All ramen is very good
The ramen here was very flavorful.
My bf had visited a location in SF during a work conference and wanted to take me here. He was happy to find that there was a location in Cupertino. We bother ordered Ramen, the Bao trio, and Takoyaki. My bowl came with think noodles, while his were the thicker ones. I wasn't sure if there was an option to substitute for the thick ramen, I mean it was bad, I just prefer the thick noodles. Mine was spicy and I enjoyed that it had the right amount if spice without being over powering. The Bao was ok, I was entirely feeling the sauce that was in them. The Takoyaki was delicious. Flavorful with the prefect crisp.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
Newbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

How to list a Nobu Malibu reservation
Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Give the best answerConcierge change fulfillment time
I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
