Delicious Thai food! We got the green curry, pad kee mow
Delicious Thai food! We got the green curry, pad kee mow and the crying Tiger. The green curry had the serious Thai spice with so many bamboo shoots. The rice you have to order on the side. Pad kee mow was so flavorful, didn't have many extra vegetables added as other pad kee mow I've tried. The crying Tiger was amazing, with a small portion size. Service was fast and our order came quickly after ordering. Id say this is higher priced Thai food in LA but the quality is worth! The ambiance was pretty casual and laidback. It was easy to have a conversation without raising our voices.

....the southern curry.....chefs kiss. A must order. A dream. A perfect dish. Without question the best thai food I've ever had.

Much better than I remember but still over priced with small portions. Stand outs were the papaya salad and crab noodles those were excellent! Crying tiger was average catfish dry and bland pork appetizer decent. Nice people classic thai place totally worth a try it there are sooo many great ones in that part of town - I'd say try Tub Tim Siam on Hillhurst! Killer everything!

Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant! The food is super authentic and their spice game is on point. I have a couple of go-to dishes but the menu literally has hundreds of items so I try something new every time and I'm never disappointed.I love the staff here. They're super attentive, nice, and always helpful with navigating the large menu. This spot is overall cozy and I always leave satisfied.

Great food! We had an amazing Coco mango salad, morning glory salad, crying tiger beef, lamb fried rice, pork larb, steamed sea bass, a spicy ground chicken dip, and oxtail egg noodle dish! There was more oxtail than noodle though. All were very flavorful. The only thing we didn't care so much for was the crispy pork in southern gravy sauce. The sauce was good but the pork was chewy. As for desserts, the mango with sticky rice was great, except the some of the mango pieces were a bit sour which threw us off. The shaved ice with fruit would've been good if there was more ice ... it seemed more syrupy than ice. It might've melted by the time it reached our table as the restaurant was really busy. Also, since it was very busy, the service was slow, but at least they were friendly. Overall the food was good, service was slow, ambiance was casual, and it gets really busy! So if your going to come, you should come early at 5pm so your not waiting too long for a table.

Jitlada is the type of place you want to bring your friends to when they visit. It's hard to place a price on authenticity but it would be much more expensive than the 15$ range that most of the dishes on this amazing menu fall on. If your not overwhelmed with the delicious offerings of 300+ menu items then you may be overwhelmed with the abundance of flavor packed into each and every dish served. If you do feel overwhelmed by the menu, this helpful and pleasant staff will be happy to guide you in the right directions based on what you are feeling. Love Jitlada. Never disappoints.

I rarely come out to West Hollywood to eat out because the drive is far and the parking is terrible, but Jitlada is the exception. I would drive up to eat there everyday if I could. The food here is absolutely phenomenal. The parking lot is a little small, but there's street parking and another parking lot across the street where you can park. We came at around 2pm on a Saturday and we were able to get seated right away. The service was a little slow, but understandably so, because they were so busy. The wait is definitely worth it!We ended up ordering the spicy crispy pork noodles, Tom yum soup with seafood, crispy pork curry, and the garlic softshell crab. The dish that won my heart was the garlic softshell crab. Trust me, you won't regret trying it. The crab is fried to crispy perfection and coated in a flavorful sauce. The inside of the restaurant is small and cozy. It feels like I'm eating at my grandma's house. I've tried other Thai restaurants in Thai town before , and none of them have ever been able to match the quality and taste here. Don't take it from me though, try it out for yourself!

Provender: this is a great Thai restaurant in the Hollywood area (which has a lot of Thai joints). I ordered the Tom Yum Kung (seafood soup) and it was delicious. The two giant prawns are cut in half and an order will feed two. The soup and other dishes are very flavorful.Prices: reasonable for the amount of food you get.Parking: the restaurant is in a strip mall, so there's a few spots. Otherwise, it's street parking.People: fun for all, but geared towards adults during dinner time.Perks: this is a great Thai restaurant that serves all sorts of great Thai dishes, like seafood soup and pad see ew. The owner is incredibly hospitable, visiting each table to ensure the people are enjoying their meals. It gets really busy, but the wait time isn't too bad.

The menu at Jitlada is so extensive! I love the Thai seafood dishes most and that there's a real kick. When you ask for spicy, it's not just doused in chili pepper but there are still all the other flavors of salty, sweet and acidic. Here are my favorite dishes:- Dungeness crab with garlic sauce: don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. There is so much flavor with the deep fried shell, garlic sauce, green onions, and black pepper. Served with a side of the green seafood spicy sauce! It remind me of Chinese or Vietnamese fried crab but spicier. - Mango tiger prawns: fresh sweet mango on top of grilled tiger prawns with head on. Don't be afraid to get dirty again and don't be shy to get all the juices out of the shrimp head. Ask for a side of the green seafood sauce for extra kick. - Southern Thai fried rice: also served with green seafood sauce (see a pattern here?? Heh). It's a little curry-ish and so flavorful but not over powered by coconut oil. I didn't enjoy the ox tail. It was a bit dry for me but I did like the egg noodles. We got 4 out of 5 spice level and I had to ask for extra pickled serrano peppers and jalapeรฑos to get that extra kick. Dining at Jitlada is slow so make sure you have no plans. And the restaurant is small so be prepared to share conversation with neighboring tables. Prior to the pandemic, when you first walk in the door at Jitlada, the restaurant smelled spicy and felt fresh but now there is really good ventilation and no spicy air. I kind of miss that greasy feeling but am glad they likely upgraded the HVAC. I'm not sure what it is but I've dined here 5+ times and have never seen any families with young kids.

(Edited to add clarification)It didn't live upto the hype for me.Came here (end March 2022) after reading and watching lots of recommendations and reviews. There's limited street parking right outside but another lot adjacent to it and paid street parking. Easy access. Limited indoor seating but tables are too close and they don't have a vaccine card check or mask mandate (not a problem/red flag for me, but leaving info here for reference)We ordered morning glory salad, crab and prawn curry (ordered based on server's recommendation after requesting a spicy dish from southern thai menu portion), drunken noodles. The best bit would be the sweet sour salad dressing. Overall, everything was decent, nothing stood out. Quantities however are tiny/single serving in comparison to all OC Thai restaurants. I was also disappointed that the curry came in a plate w limited gravy/sauce (although I'd asked for a recommendation that had a spicy gravy or curry base). I was expecting to get it in the boiler/ heated bowl. Wasn't the best thai food I've had in OC/LA, but wasn't bad either.

The service's not good (waiting for minutes without any service) but the food's good.Ordered oxtail soup, lamb curry, Chinese broccoli, and scallop something. And mango and jackfruit smoothies. I like my jackfruit smoothie with 4-level spiciness. Will come back for a 5.Everything tastes good!

Fantastic food and peopleOne of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. Dozens of dishes, all amazing. Beware: when they say so it, they mean Thai spicy! My friend loves that, but he also loves mopping the sweat off his face while he eats :DI prefer the spice level of American mild to medium, personally. Less sweat :)The staff is great, esp Jazz, the manager They're in a small strip center with a small parking lot. During the day, parking is no problem, plenty of street Lawlor g. Evenings and weekends are trickier: the lot is valet, and street parking is tougherBut the food is worth it!

4.5 stars Will definitely be returning 1) Drunken noodles w/ medium spice were spicy and delicious. Some of the best I have had outside of Thailand.2) Crab/shellfish curry was also very tasty. Ordered the southern curry but there are multiple options. Not sure how their menu makes sense. There are over 400 items (not exaggerating! ย on the menu. It is a littleOverwhelming and a lot of different ingredients - from duck to muscles to sea bass to silkworms. I am not sure if they actually keep all of this on hand but it seems they could speed up their throughout and improve inventory management with reducing the menu.
Be the first to ReplyI have been coming here for years.
.. The quality has gone done quite a bit. It's just not the same since Tui died. Jazz is doing her best but as I said, it just isnt the same as before. the food is still good, but there is better quality out there for the price. Its mostly a hipster/tourist trap now. I prefer palms thai at this point, unless I am craving something super specific that only jitlada can offer.

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time for my bf's birthday. It's been on my must try thai restaurants list for awhile now but I've always put it off because of the mixed reviews. I now understand why there are so many mixed reviews here. I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It took me over 10 minutes to get the host's attention and even then she waved me away. When we were finally seated, we realized there was only one server to attend to over 12 tables. Needless to say, the service was not the best. It took us awhile to get our waiters attention to order and then again to get the check. We ended up ordering the crispy pork with basil, spicy pad Thai, crispy morning glory salad and thai tea. The salad was like everyone described, glorious. It was satisfying to eat and I felt like I was biting into a potato chip coated in fish sauce and red onions. The pork was spicy, tender and flavorful. The pad Thai, however, was the worst dish of the meal. I would 100% skip it. It was overly sweet and the flavors were more muted and not consistent of the flavors I'd expect from pad Thai. For you to get an idea, my bf thought the sauce tasted like there was ketchup added to it. The thai tea was also extremely watered down. Overall, I'm not sure if the food here is worth the high cost and poor service
Be the first to ReplySolid thai spot.
ย The menu is HUGE and can be overwhelming and probably some dishes are better than others. ย Luckily I asked a friend who had been there before to let us know what to order! ย We had the spicy crab pad thai (I would probably change the meat next time) which was tasty. We also had the fresh beef wraps with some amazing dipping sauce that I would highly recommend. We had a beef curry that was really spicy (too hot for my husband, but I found it ok!). ย We also ordered the crying tiger (but they took too long with this order so we took it togo so didn't get to taste it fresh, but was still good). ย We did get mango sticky rice and it was sooo delicious and our waitress was so proud because she said she made it :) Does it live upto the hype of the show? Idk because I didn't watch it or have any expectations. ย Would I come back? Of course! But maybe for lunch to avoid long wait times.

..if you haven't had her authentic spicy Southern Thai food treat yourself! The Morning Glory salad is a wonderful place to start! And the Green Curry Mussels to die for!

You must try to Tom Yum soup the duck and the tiger beef. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. 400 items I'm down

I do not write yelp reviews very often but please do not listen to the haters, this is a wonderful restaurant with absurdly delicious Thai food and very friendly and helpful staff, they bring dishes out as they are completed so please plan on dining family style to enjoy the pacing. You are a fool if you do not get the coco mango salad. This place is famous for a reason, one of my favorite restaurants in LA. Must try.
