Excellent staff, nice ambiance, great food. Enough room for large groups, management and wait staff make you feel like family!

Absolutely love Johnny's, my family and I have been coming here for special occasions for years, recently just for a nice lunch. We love Amy and Shelly, they are the best! The kitchen crew must be top notch as well, I never get anything but a perfectly cooked steak at Johnny's.

My son and I needed a quick snack and the steakhouse was the closest place to our hotel. The food was exceptional and fast. The service was five stars! Amy and Shelly made our experience delightful and we felt at home. Will be coming back!

My family and I have been going to Johnny's for 13 years. Amy and Shelley make our experience at Johnny's memorable and they are the reason we go back every year. They are so incredibly warm, welcoming, and remember us every year. Their service is always amazing and we always request Shelley when we go to Johnny's. I am so grateful to have Shelley as part of my childhood.

Great wait staff in Julia. My steak was cooked to perfection. Awesome gift of cheesecake for the birthday girl. Cheers!

Very disappointing experience at this restaurant tonight seemingly due to racism. My husband and I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not full. We were seated right beside (in arms length) of the bussing station. We were the only customers seated in that section. We asked to be seated by the window in a nicer area and were told by the waitress that she would need to ask a manager. The manager came over and said he had no where to move us despite the large number of empty tables. After a few minutes we decided to leave. The manager seemed okay with us leaving. There were no other African American patrons in the restaurant and everyone else was Caucasian including the waitress and the manager. I would not recommend this restaurant to any racial minority.
Be the first to ReplyA very bad night at this Johnny’s
Our experience started off poorly with the “gentleman “that greeted us for our table. A young lady had already asked us all of the pertinent information, and we were ready to be seated, but he had to come in, and I am assuming, play his part. He was arrogant, did not listen, and his general demeanor irritated me. We were told we would have to wait then we were told our table is ready. Then we had to wait again. We were a party of four and was seated at a table for a party of eight. It went downhill from there. There was one pasta dish ordered and three orders of filet Oscar. We had three martinis and a gin and tonic. So anybody with a calculator and knowing what the cost would know this was not a cheap dinner. The only thing decent was the pasta dish. The filet Oscars, well that’s another story in itself. The crab meat tasted off, it tasted like old fish and not what I expected from Johnny’s. The baked potato, that two of us had was so over baked you could not cut the potato skin with a knife. We ask for the potatoes to be loaded and they Must of been running short on fillings that night because they were anything but. An interesting note was we had asked for balsamic vinegar to mix with the olive oil for our bread. A pretty standard saying I feel it in Italian eatery. The poor young lad that was waiting on us. It was a new and had not a clue what the vinegar was. He went to ask and came back and told us that he was told they were out of the balsamic vinegar. Ok, must’ve been a huge run on that for the night. We have had the fillet Oscar at Johnny’s in Omaha and Johnny’s in Thornton, Colorado. The bar was set at those two locations. The bar was knocked off at this one. Overall, I rank her meal very poor, not the quality that I expected from Johnny’s Italian steakhouse

Best steak Ive had in a long time. Nice atmosphere and charming wait staff. Fresh salads, good wine list. Bernaise sauce, very classic.
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the money or time
We arrived and waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to give us water. Once they did we ordered drinks and meal. Received our drinks. Waited another 15 minutes for cold bread. Ate that. Waited even more for our salads. You pay 4.00 extra to upgrade to a Cesar salad. Don’t do it. Not worth it. Dinner arrived. I ordered the Parmesan crusted sirloin with stuff shrimp and a loaded baked. Steak was tough. Shrimp was very bland and had hardly any sauce. Baked potato was cold in the middle. Clearly reheated from the night before. It was gross. My husband had a ribeye it was good but ordered the garlic mashed. Those were a gray color, cold and not even mashed…. He had to cut it. Needless to say we did not finish our meals. We did not say anything to our waitress because it was pointless…. Because we didn’t even see her to really check on us and plus did not want to wait even longer to fix the problem. Thank god it was paid from a gift card because we have absolutely no desire to go back… especially the prices and lack of quality
Be the first to ReplyOverrated food, poor service, bad experience
Overrated, overpriced entrees. Salmon flavorless, $43 for a chewy, grisly ribeye. Should have sent back but Taylor did not return soon enough, we didn't want to have to wait for a new dish. Taylor was NOT happy with her job from her abrupt attitude to the way she slammed plates on the table. Shrimp with crab stuffing dry and overcooked, canned black olives in salad. Overall bad experience for way too much money. Would never recommend

My husband and I had a great time at Johnny’s celebrating our 32nd anniversary! The staff was fantastic! Amy was our wonderful waitress for the evening! She went above and beyond to make our evening special! The food was amazing! We highly recommend the prime rib! Thank you for helping us celebrate, we had a wonderful evening!
Be the first to ReplyQuiet and charming. No TVs! Old Hollywood atmosphere.
My husband and I seem to find ourselves there every couple of years. Just went for our anniversary. Husband always gets steak (and loves it) and I usually get some form of pasta. Prices are in line with the quality of food and portions. They have a few menu items specific to Johnny's, so if you want Marilyn's Chanel # 5, you gotta go. Desserts are enormous. It's an older establishment but it has been updated and is very clean and well maintained so it doesn't have that sad, depressing, tired look so many older places do.

This was always our favorite place to eat when visiting the Quad Cities until last night. To start it off we were seated at the end of the bar where the staff constantly goes by to the kitchen (the restaurant wasn’t full so there was plenty of other seating). Staff left dishes, pitchers & the spray bottle with rag on the end of the bar in our view. The focaccia bread was warm but very doughy on the bottom. Calamari rings were okay but there were 3 large whole ones that were extremely tough. I ordered the petite filet. The presentation was wonderful but I took a bite & discovered it was a little over room temperature! I did tell the waitress about it and told her I wouldn’t send it back since I don’t like reheated steak. It was very flavorful but would have been so much better if it had been hot. I ordered Brussel sprouts on the side and they were hard, dried up with an awful flavor . We sent them back! My husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs and his food was very tasty.

We were traveling from North Carolina to visit family and had lunch at the Moline location on Friday, June 17, 2022. The service was impeccable, the ambience lovely and the food -- unforgettable. Thank you!

Excellent food, beautiful setting, extensive menu and awesome service. You will pay for the quality, but it does not disappoint. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyVERY disappointing!
Three of us went to dinner on June 8. It was terrible from start to finish. After being seated, we waited a long time to see anyone. Our waitress finally appeared to take our drink order. After about 15 minutes, we got our ice tea and water. Then about 15-20 minutes later, she brought us bread. In about 15-20 minutes, she came to take our order. We all ordered the Chubby-cut Sirloin and all prepared the same way, medium-well. We ordered two tossed salads and I order a spinach salad. In about 20 minutes, three tossed salads came instead of two tossed salads and a spinach salad. When one of the salads was given to my aunt, a tomato fell off onto the table. The waitress picked up the tomato and put it back on my aunt’s plate. She was horrified! I told the waitress that I was supposed to get spinach salad. She went to get one for me. In about 20 minutes she returned with my salad. My husband and aunt were finished eating their salads when mine came. When our dinner finally came, two of the three steaks were about an inch and a half thick while my steak was maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch think. These were supposed to be 9 oz.. Maybe two of them were that large but my steak was not even half the size of the others. We each cut into our steaks. My husband’s steak was as he liked it, my aunt’s steak was very bloody, maybe a medium-rare and I couldn’t even cut my steak. It was tough and full of grizzle. Because my aunt was so upset about all of the blood from her steak, I didn’t say anything and my wonderful husband switched steaks with me. They took her steak to recook it and left her potatoes on the bloody plate. When they returned with her steak about another 15 -20 minutes, they gave her back the steak and it was still not done. Upon request they gave her a fresh plate and new potatoes but since the steak was still not done, she only ate a few bites of potatoes. We were not even offered desert. The manager did comp her dinner but we all had a terrible experience and my husband ate a steak that was not close to the way you would expect from a nice restaurant (small and very tough). It shouldn’t have even been sold. Our reservation was at 6:00 and we finally left at about 8:00.

Excellent food. Even the ceasar salad was fantastic. Service was even better than the food. Our server Javier was very attentive and polite, without being “in your face”. Great experience.
Be the first to ReplySadly this place has had its day in the sun
Sadly, Johnnys has had its day in the sun. We used to love coming here for holidays and occasions with friends, but something has happened both in the front and the back of the house. The servers are not attentive and in some cases are short with and rude to the customers. There are very few of the veteran staff remaining. The food coming out of the kitchen is mediocre at best. I had veal parmesan which was basically tasteless, and the pasta was cold. My friend's steak was overcooked. We ate what was put in front of us so as to not cause any more trouble than we had already experienced. When our server finally cleared, she asked if everything was ok, and we said no. A server we knew said how about another drink. We said OK but they turned up on the bill which we thought were to have been comps for a lousy meal. Somebody said the longtime manager doesn't care anymore. Well, someone needs to or the business will fail. High prices demand high quality, but quality has disappeared here.

We didn't have a reservation, so we sat and ate at the bar. The atmosphere, food, and service was all outstanding and we had a great time talking with other customers and the bartenders! We'll be going again.

First Visit.... Great service. All our food was served perfect. Our steak was cooked right to our medium liking. We also ordered a salmon dish and requested for the risotto side dish, which was excellent. Our beer was not overpriced. Pretty happy, we will. be back.
