Jomon Japanese BBQ Philadelphia Reviews from The Last Year

Honestly I've been here before nearer to its opening and didn't necessarily have a bad experience. However went tonight and all utensils and other tables utensils (couldn't even grab to replace) were dirty as well as the sauce containers. Then the food comes out and there's a worm in it and the sauces look like they've been open, out, and dried forever. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the waiter (who was left alone to tend all the tables and the bar) was very friendly and understanding. I have serious concerns about the freshness of the ingredients from everything I saw
Really good AYCE Japanese bbq! Didn't do the hotpot combo
Really good AYCE Japanese bbq! Didn't do the hotpot combo since that would be too much food. The meats were very fresh and tender. The sides were delicious and paired well in between meat servings. The service was attentive as well for reordering dishes. At the end they provide a free Melona ice cream which was a great way to finish off the meal.

I've been looking forward to eating at Jamon for years, and I finally got to experience this fun food adventure after much anticipation. We went the day before Saint Patrick's day and the city was absolutely gridlocked, as was the wait to get a table. We did have reservations, but there was a wait. The wait wasn't too unreasonable and they were very gracious. After we were seated, our server came and gave us the lay of the land. I'd suggest looking at the menu ahead of time. If you're sharing food, I wouldn't order the same things until you've decided what you really like to eat. We settled on shabu shabu and believe it or not a vegan can really enjoy themselves and get plenty to eat. We settled on two broths, a Szechuan broth and a miso/mushroom broth, which is the only vegan broth available. Warning: my son said that the Szechuan broth made his lips sizzle. We ordered from a large variety of vegetables, tofu, meats and seafood. Everything was very fresh and I'd suggest looking at the menu ahead of time, so that you aren't overwhelmed. My favorites were the clams, tofu, shrimp, corn, sweet potatoes and bok choy. The rice was perfect and the udon noodles were really fun to cook in the broth. Heads up... there's a lot of variety, so pace yourself and come hungry. Just a tip: there's a cart with about twenty condiments and to me that was the icing on the cake. You can add layers of flavor with these yummy toppings. Overall, the experience was really enjoyable. The space gets really smoky and you leave smelling like grilled meat, but that's what showers are for. Everyone in our party of three fully enjoyed themselves and left with full belly's. I'm really looking forward to my next visit, and I will be very strategic in my planning.

It was my first time going, my daughter saw the advertisement on tiktok, so we all wanted to go and check it out. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly, and the staff greeted us at the door and were very friendly. This is all new to me, so I had a lot of questions. They explained everything to me in great detail. We ordered shabu shabu, and when they brought it out, it was stunning. We were so excited. We had ribeye and flank steak, salmon, shrimp, lots of galbi, pork belly, and much more. The food was delicious. We made it exactly the way we liked it, that's what makes this place a gem. I'm going back again this weekend, and I told all my friends out this place!

absolutely great place, staff was friendly and helpful, lychee martini off the hook, food was fabulous, do your self a favor and treat yourself to a great experience.
Awesome service & food.
Went during restaurant week and didn't really expect much. They brought a giant amount of meat for my 3 big teenage boys. If you could fill my 3 teenage boys you are a very generous restaurant. We had a great Sunday afternoon.

It was okay , they need sauce options for the meats and vegetables or they will taste very bland . I wouldn't go back . Service was fine . And ambiance was okay just small in there .
The experience was a lot of fun.
You choose your meats and vegetables and grill them at your table. The beef came wrapped in foil and ready to grill. The teriyaki chicken, basil chicken, shrimp, and bacon wrapped Hokkaido scallops were all very good. The wait staff was friendly and helpful since it was our first time there, including giving us approximate grill times for each meat and veggie. Would definitely go back! The atmosphere was very relaxing and family oriented.
Came here for restaurant week.
It was $20 per set. The portions were decent for the price. It was yummy and definitely made us wanted to order more! Service was great and the staff were quick.
Delicious food and a fun way to eat.
You get a choice of grilling your food or cooking it in broth.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
